Selected Hadith Regarding Virtues And Merits Of Malaikah (Angels) (P.B.U.T)

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
[In the Name of ALLAH, the ENTIRELY MERCIFUL, the ESPECIALLY MERCIFUL]

Indeed, those who have said, "Our LORD is ALLAH" and then remained on a right course - the Angels will descend upon them, [saying], "Do not fear and do not grieve but receive good tidings of Paradise, which you were promised.
We [Angels] were your allies in worldly life and [are so] in the Hereafter. And you will have therein whatever your souls desire, and you will have therein whatever you request [or wish]
As accommodation from a [LORD who is] FORGIVING and MERCIFUL."
And who is better in speech than one who invites to ALLAH and does righteousness and says, "Indeed, I am of the Muslims."

Selected Hadith Regarding Virtues And Merits Of Malaikah (Angels) (P.B.U.T)

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 12, Book 42: Pertaining To Piety And Softening Of Hearts (Kitab Al-Zuhd Wa Al-Raqa'iq), Number 7134:
'Aisha (R.A) reported:
That ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: The Angels (P.B.U.T) were born out of light and the Jinns were born out of the spark of fire and Adam (P.B.U.H) was born as he has been defined (in the Qur'an) for you (i.e. he is fashioned out of clay).

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 1: Revelation, Number 2:
Narrated 'Aisha (R.A) (The mother of the faithful believers):
Al-Harith bin Hisham (R.A) asked ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] "O ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S]! How is the Divine Inspiration revealed to you?" ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] replied, "Sometimes it is (revealed) like the ringing of a bell, this form of Inspiration is the hardest of all and then this state passes' off after I have grasped what is inspired. Sometimes the Angel (P.B.U.H) comes in the form of a man and talks to me and I grasp whatever he says." 'Aisha (R.A) added: Verily I saw the Prophet [S.A.W.S] being inspired Divinely on a very cold day and noticed the sweat dropping from his forehead (as the Inspiration was over).

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 1: Revelation, Number 3:
Narrated 'Aisha (R.A) (The mother of the faithful believers):
The commencement of the Divine Inspiration to ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] was in the form of good dreams which came true like bright day light, and then the love of seclusion was bestowed upon him. He used to go in seclusion in the cave of Hira where he used to Worship (ALLAH [S.W.T] Alone) continuously for many days before his desire to see his family. He used to take with him the journey food for the stay and then come back to (his wife) Khadija (R.A) to take his food like-wise again till suddenly the Truth descended upon him while he was in the cave of Hira. The Angel (P.B.U.H) came to him and asked him to read. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] replied, "I do not know how to read. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] added, "The Angel (P.B.U.H) caught me (forcefully) and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it anymore. He then released me and again asked me to read and I replied, 'I do not know how to read.' Thereupon he caught me again and pressed me a second time till I could not bear it anymore. He then released me and again asked me to read but again I replied, 'I do not know how to read (or what shall I read)?' Thereupon he caught me for the third time and pressed me, and then released me and said, 'Read in the Name of your LORD, who has Created (all that exists) has created man from a clot. Read! And your LORD is the MOST GENEROUS." (96.1-3) Then ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] returned with the Inspiration and with his heart beating severely. Then he went to Khadija bint Khuwailid (R.A) and said, "Cover me! Cover me!" They covered him till his fear was over and after that he told her everything that had happened and said, "I fear that something may happen to me." Khadija (R.A) replied, "Never! By ALLAH [S.W.T], ALLAH [S.W.T] will never disgrace you. You keep good relations with your Kith and kin, help the poor and the destitute, serve your guests generously and assist the deserving calamity-afflicted ones." Khadija (R.A) then accompanied him to her cousin Waraqa bin Naufal bin Asad bin 'Abdul 'Uzza, who, during the Pre-Islamic Period became a Christian and used to write the writing with Hebrew letters. He would write from the Gospel in Hebrew as much as ALLAH [S.W.T] wished him to write. He was an old man and had lost his eyesight. Khadija (R.A) said to Waraqa, "Listen to the story of your nephew, O my cousin!" Waraqa asked, "O my nephew! What have you seen?" ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] described whatever he had seen. Waraqa said, "This is the same one who keeps the secrets (Angel Gabriel (P.B.U.H) whom ALLAH [S.W.T] had sent to Moses (P.B.U.H). I wish I were young and could live up to the time when your people would turn you out." ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] asked, "Will they drive me out?" Waraqa replied in the affirmative and said, "Anyone (man) who came with something similar to what you have brought was treated with hostility; and if I should remain alive till the day when you will be turned out then I would support you strongly." But after a few days Waraqa died and the Divine Inspiration was also paused for a while. Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah Al-Ansari (R.A) while talking about the period of pause in Revelation reporting the speech of the Prophet [S.A.W.S] "While I was walking, all of a sudden I heard a voice from the sky. I looked up and saw the same Angel (P.B.U.H) who had visited me at the cave of Hira' sitting on a chair between the sky and the earth. I got afraid of him and came back home and said, 'Wrap me (in blankets).' And then ALLAH [S.W.T] revealed the following Holy Verses (of Qur’an): 'O you (i.e. Muhammad)! wrapped up in garments!' Arise and warn (the people against ALLAH's Punishment),... up to 'and desert the idols.' (74.1-5) After this the Revelation started coming strongly, frequently and regularly."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 1: Revelation, Number 5:
Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] was the most generous of all the people, and he used to reach the peak in generosity in the month of Ramadan when Gabriel (P.B.U.H) met him. Gabriel (P.B.U.H) used to meet him every night of Ramadan to teach him the Qur'an. ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] was the most generous person, even more generous than the strong uncontrollable wind (in readiness and haste to do charitable deeds).

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 2: Belief, Number 47:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
One day while the Prophet [S.A.W.S] was sitting in the company of some people, (The Angel) Gabriel (P.B.U.H) came and asked, "What is faith?" ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] replied, 'Faith is to believe in ALLAH [S.W.T], HIS Angels (P.B.U.T), (the) meeting with HIM, HIS Apostles (P.B.U.T), and to believe in Resurrection." Then he further asked, "What is Islam?" ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] replied, "To Worship ALLAH [S.W.T] Alone and none else, to offer prayers perfectly to pay the compulsory charity (Zakat) and to observe fasts during the month of Ramadan." Then he further asked, "What is Ihsan (perfection)?" ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] replied, "To Worship ALLAH [S.W.T] as if you see HIM, and if you cannot achieve this state of devotion then you must consider that HE is looking at you." Then he further asked, "When will the Hour be established?" ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] replied, "The answerer has no better knowledge than the questioner. But I will inform you about its portents.
1. When a slave (lady) gives birth to her master.
2. When the shepherds of black camels start boasting and competing with others in the construction of higher buildings. And the Hour is one of five things which nobody knows except ALLAH [S.W.T]. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] then recited: "Verily, with ALLAH (Alone) is the Knowledge of the Hour--." (31.34) Then that man (Gabriel (P.B.U.H)) left and the Prophet [S.A.W.S] asked his companions (R.A) to call him back, but they could not see him. Then the Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "That was Gabriel (P.B.U.H) who came to teach the people their religion." Abu 'Abdullah (R.A) said: He (the Prophet [S.A.W.S]) considered all that as a part of faith.

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 3: Knowledge, Number 86:
Narrated Asma (R.A):
I came to 'Aisha (R.A) while she was praying, and said to her, "What has happened to the people?" She pointed out towards the sky. (I looked towards the Mosque), and saw the people offering the prayer. 'Aisha (R.A) said, "Subhan ALLAH." I said to her, "Is there a sign?" She nodded with her head meaning, "Yes." I, too, then stood (for the prayer of eclipse) till I became (nearly) unconscious and later on I poured water on my head. After the prayer, the Prophet [S.A.W.S] Praised and Glorified ALLAH [S.W.T] and then said, "Just now at this place I have seen what I have never seen before, including Paradise and Hell. No doubt it has been inspired to me that you will be put to trials in your graves and these trials will be like the trials of Masiah-ad-dajjal or nearly like it (the sub narrator is not sure which expression Asma' (R.A) used). You will be asked, 'What do you know about this man (the Prophet Muhammad [S.A.W.S])?' Then the faithful believer (or Asma' (R.A) said a similar word) will reply, 'He is Muhammad ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] who had come to us with clear evidences and guidance and so we accepted his teachings and followed him. And he is Muhammad [S.A.W.S].' And he will repeat it thrice. Then the Angels (P.B.U.T) will say to him, 'Sleep in peace as we have come to know that you were a faithful believer.' On the other hand, a hypocrite or a doubtful person will reply, 'I do not know, but I heard the people saying something and so I said it.' (the same)."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 6: Menstrual Periods, Number 315:
Narrated Anas bin Malik (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "At every womb ALLAH [S.W.T] appoints an Angel (P.B.U.H) who says, 'O LORD! A drop of semen, O LORD! A clot. O LORD! A little lump of flesh." Then if ALLAH [S.W.T] wishes (to complete) its creation, the Angel (P.B.U.H) asks, (O LORD!) Will it be a male or female, a wretched or a blessed, and how much will his provision be? And what will his age be?' So all that is written while the child is still in the mother's womb."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 8: Prayers, Number 408:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "If anyone of you stands for prayer, he should not spit in front of him because in prayer he is speaking in private to ALLAH [S.W.T] and he should not spit on his right as there is an Angel (P.B.U.H), but he can spit either on his left or under his left foot and bury it (i.e. expectoration)."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 8: Prayers, Number 436:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, "The Angels (P.B.U.T) keep on asking ALLAH [S.W.T]’s forgiveness for anyone of you, as long as he is at his Musalla (praying place) and he does not pass wind (Hadath). They say, 'O ALLAH! Forgive him, O ALLAH! be Merciful to him."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 12: Characteristics of Prayer, Number 764:
Narrated Rifa'a bin Rafi Az Zuraqi (R.A):
One day we were praying behind the Prophet [S.A.W.S]. When he raised his head from bowing, he said, "Sami'a-l-lahu Liman hamida." A man behind him said, "Rabbana walaka-l hamd hamdan Kathiran taiyiban mubarakan fihi" (O our LORD! All the praises are for YOU, many good and blessed praises). When the Prophet [S.A.W.S] completed the prayer, he asked, "Who has said these words?" The man replied, "I." The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "I saw over thirty Angels (P.B.U.T) competing to write it first." The Prophet [S.A.W.S] rose (from bowing) and stood straight till all the vertebrae of his spinal column came to a natural position.

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 12: Characteristics of Prayer, Number 814:
Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "Whoever eats garlic or onion should keep away from our Mosque or should remain in his house." (Jabir bin 'Abdullah (R.A), in another narration said, "Once a big pot containing cooked vegetables was brought. On finding unpleasant smell coming from it, the Prophet [S.A.W.S] asked, 'What is in it?' He was told all the names of the vegetables that were in it. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] ordered that it should be brought near to some of his companions (R.A) who were with him. When the Prophet [S.A.W.S] saw it he disliked to eat it and said, 'Eat. (I don't eat) for I converse with those whom you don't converse with (i.e. the Angels (P.B.U.T))."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 2, Book 13: Friday Prayer, Number 6:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, "Any person who takes a bath on Friday like the bath of Janaba and then goes for the prayer (in the first hour i.e. early), it is as if he had sacrificed a camel (in ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Cause); and whoever goes in the second hour it is as if he had sacrificed a cow; and whoever goes in the third hour, then it is as if he had sacrificed a horned ram; and if one goes in the fourth hour, then it is as if he had sacrificed a hen; and whoever goes in the fifth hour then it is as if he had offered an egg. When the Imam comes out (i.e. starts delivering the Khutba), the Angels (P.B.U.T) present themselves to listen to the Khutba."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 2, Book 13: Friday Prayer, Number 51:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "When it is a Friday, the Angels (P.B.U.T) stand at the gate of the Mosque and keep on writing the names of the persons coming to the Mosque in succession according to their arrivals. The example of the one who enters the Mosque in the earliest hour is that of one offering a camel (in sacrifice). The one coming next is like one offering a cow and then a ram and then a chicken and then an egg respectively. When the Imam comes out (for Jumua prayer) they (i.e. Angels (P.B.U.T)) fold their papers and listen to the Khutba."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 2, Book 23: Funerals (Al-Janaa'iz), Number 381:
Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah (R.A):
On the day of the Battle of Uhud, my father was brought and he had been mayhemed and was placed in front of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] and a sheet was over him. I went intending to uncover my father but my people forbade me; again I wanted to uncover him but my people forbade me. ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] gave his order and he was shifted away. At that time he heard the voice of a crying woman and asked, "Who is this?" They said, "It is the daughter or the sister of Amr (R.A)." He said, "Why does she weep? (or let her stop weeping), for the Angels (P.B.U.T) had been shading him with their wings till he (i.e. the body of the Martyr) was shifted away."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 2, Book 23: Funerals (Al-Janaa'iz), Number 422:
Narrated Anas (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "When a human being is laid in his grave and his companions return and he even hears their foot steps, two Angels (P.B.U.T) come to him and make him sit and ask him: What did you use to say about this man, Muhammad [S.A.W.S]? He will say: I testify that he is ALLAH [S.W.T]’s slave and HIS Apostle [S.A.W.S]. Then it will be said to him, 'Look at your place in the Hell-Fire. ALLAH [S.W.T] has given you a place in Paradise instead of it.'" The Prophet [S.A.W.S] added, "The dead person will see both his places. But a non-believer or a hypocrite will say to the Angels (P.B.U.T), 'I do not know, but I used to say what the people used to say! It will be said to him, 'Neither did you know nor did you take the guidance (by reciting the Qur’an).' Then he will be hit with an iron hammer between his two ears, and he will cry and that cry will be heard by whatever approaches him except human beings and jinns."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 2, Book 23: Funerals (Al-Janaa'iz), Number 450:
Narrated Al-Bara' bin 'Azib (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "When a faithful believer is made to sit in his grave, then (the Angels (P.B.U.T)) come to him and he testifies that none has the right to be Worshiped but ALLAH [S.W.T] and Muhammad is ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S]. And that corresponds to ALLAH [S.W.T]’s statement: ALLAH [S.W.T] will keep firm those who believe with the word that stands firm . . . (14.27).

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 2, Book 23: Funerals (Al-Janaa'iz), Number 468:
Narrated Samura bin Jundab (R.A):
Whenever the Prophet [S.A.W.S] finished the (morning) prayer, he would face us and ask, "Who amongst you had a dream last night?" So if anyone had seen a dream he would narrate it. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] would say: "Masha'ALLAH" (An Arabic maxim meaning literally, 'What ALLAH wished,' and it indicates a good omen.) One day, he asked us whether anyone of us had seen a dream. We replied in the negative. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "But I had seen (a dream) last night that two men came to me, caught hold of my hands, and took me to the Sacred Land (Jerusalem). There, I saw a person sitting and another standing with an iron hook in his hand pushing it inside the mouth of the former till it reached the jaw-bone, and then tore off one side of his cheek, and then did the same with the other side; in the mean-time the first side of his cheek became normal again and then he repeated the same operation again. I said, 'What is this?' They told me to proceed on and we went on till we came to a man Lying flat on his back, and another man standing at his head carrying a stone or a piece of rock, and crushing the head of the Lying man, with that stone. Whenever he struck him, the stone rolled away. The man went to pick it up and by the time he returned to him, the crushed head had returned to its normal state and the man came back and struck him again (and so on). I said, 'Who is this?' They told me to proceed on; so we proceeded on and passed by a hole like an oven; with a narrow top and wide bottom, and the fire was kindling underneath that hole. Whenever the fire-flame went up, the people were lifted up to such an extent that they about to get out of it, and whenever the fire got quieter, the people went down into it, and there were naked men and women in it. I said, 'Who is this?' They told me to proceed on. So we proceeded on till we reached a river of blood and a man was in it, and another man was standing at its bank with stones in front of him, facing the man standing in the river. Whenever the man in the river wanted to come out, the other one threw a stone in his mouth and caused him to retreat to his original position; and so whenever he wanted to come out the other would throw a stone in his mouth, and he would retreat to his original position. I asked, 'What is this?' They told me to proceed on and we did so till we reached a well-flourished green garden having a huge tree and near its root was sitting an old man with some children. (I saw) Another man near the tree with fire in front of him and he was kindling it up. Then they (i.e. my two companions (P.B.U.T)) made me climb up the tree and made me enter a house, better than which I have ever seen. In it were some old men and young men, women and children. Then they took me out of this house and made me climb up the tree and made me enter another house that was better and superior (to the first) containing old and young people. I said to them (i.e. my two companions (P.B.U.T)), 'You have made me ramble all the night. Tell me all about that I have seen.' They said, 'Yes. As for the one whose cheek you saw being torn away, he was a liar and he used to tell lies, and the people would report those lies on his authority till they spread all over the world. So, he will be punished like that till the Day of Resurrection. The one whose head you saw being crushed is the one whom ALLAH [S.W.T] had given the knowledge of Qur’an (i.e. knowing it by heart) but he used to sleep at night (i.e. he did not recite it then) and did not use to act upon it (i.e. upon its orders etc.) by day; and so this punishment will go on till the Day of Resurrection. And those you saw in the hole (like oven) were adulterers (those men and women who commit illegal sexual intercourse). And those you saw in the river of blood were those dealing in Riba (usury). And the old man who was sitting at the base of the tree was Abraham (P.B.U.H) and the little children around him were the offspring of the people. And the one who was kindling the fire was Malik (P.B.U.H), the gate-keeper of the Hell-fire. And the first house in which you have one was the house of the common believers, and the second house was of the Martyrs. I am Gabriel (P.B.U.H) and this is Michael (P.B.U.H). Raise your head.' I raised my head and saw a thing like a cloud over me. They said, 'That is your place.' I said, 'Let me enter my place.' They said, 'You still have some life which you have not yet completed, and when you complete (that remaining portion of your life) you will then enter your place.' "

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 2, Book 24: Obligatory Charity Tax (Zakat), Number 522:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "Every day two Angels (P.B.U.T) come down from Heaven and one of them says, 'O ALLAH! Compensate every person who spends in YOUR Cause,' and the other (Angel (P.B.U.H)) says, 'O ALLAH! Destroy every miser.'"

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 3, Book 30: Virtues of Medina, Number 105:
Narrated Anas bin Malik (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "There will be no town which Ad-dajjal will not enter except Mecca and Medina, and there will be no entrance (road) (of both Mecca and Medina) but the Angels (P.B.U.T) will be standing in rows guarding it against him, and then Medina will shake with its inhabitants thrice (i.e. three earth-quakes will take place) and ALLAH [S.W.T] will expel all the nonbelievers and the hypocrites from it."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 3, Book 34: Sales and Trade, Number 291:
Narrated Hudhaifa (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "Before your time the Angels (P.B.U.T) received the soul of a man and asked him, 'Did you do any good deeds (in your life)?' He replied, 'I used to order my employees to grant time to the rich person to pay his debts at his convenience.' So ALLAH [S.W.T] said to the Angels (P.B.U.T); "Excuse him." Rabi said that (the dead man said), 'I used to be easy to the rich and grant time to the poor.' Or, in another narration, 'grant time to the well-off and forgive the needy,' or, 'accept from the well-off and forgive the needy.'

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 3, Book 34: Sales and Trade, Number 318:
Narrated Aisha (R.A) (Mother of the faithful believers):
I bought a cushion with pictures on it. When ALLAH [S.W.T]'s Apostle [S.A.W.S] saw it, he kept standing at the door and did not enter the house. I noticed the sign of disgust on his face, so I said, "O ALLAH [S.W.T]'s Apostle [S.A.W.S]! I repent to ALLAH [S.W.T] and HIS Apostle [S.A.W.S]. (Please let me know) what sin I have done." ALLAH [S.W.T]'s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, "What about this cushion?" I replied, "I bought it for you to sit and recline on." ALLAH [S.W.T]'s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, "The painters (i.e. owners) of these pictures will be punished on the Day of Resurrection. It will be said to them, 'Put life in what you have created (i.e. painted).' "The Prophet [S.A.W.S] added, "The Angels (P.B.U.T) do not enter a house where there are pictures."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 3, Book 34: Sales and Trade, Number 330:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, "The congregational prayer of anyone amongst you is more than twenty (five or twenty seven) times in reward than his prayer in the market or in his house, for if he performs ablution completely and then goes to the Mosque with the sole intention of performing the prayer, and nothing urges him to proceed to the Mosque except the prayer, then, on every step which he takes towards the Mosque, he will be raised one degree or one of his sins will be forgiven. The Angels (P.B.U.T) will keep on asking ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Forgiveness and Blessings for everyone of you so long as he keeps sitting at his praying place. The Angels (P.B.U.T) will say, 'O ALLAH [S.W.T], Bless him! O ALLAH [S.W.T], be Merciful to him!' as long as he does not do Hadath or a thing which gives trouble to the other." The Prophet [S.A.W.S] [S.A.W.S] further said, "One is regarded in prayer so long as one is waiting for the prayer."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 53: One-fifth of Booty to the Cause of ALLAH [S.W.T] (Khumus), Number 404:
Narrated Ali (R.A):
We did not, write anything from the Prophet [S.A.W.S] except the Qur’an and what is written in this paper, (wherein) the Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "Medina is a sanctuary from (the mountain of) Air to so and-so, therefore, whoever innovates (in it) an heresy or commits a sin, or gives shelter to such an innovator, will incur the Curse of ALLAH [S.W.T], the Angels (P.B.U.T) and all the people; and none of his compulsory or optional good deeds of worship will be accepted And the asylum granted by any Muslim is to be secured by all the Muslims even if it is granted by one of the lowest social status among them. And whoever betrays a Muslim in this respect will incur the Curse of ALLAH [S.W.T], the Angels (P.B.U.T) and all the people, and his compulsory and optional good deeds of worship will not be accepted. And any freed slave will take as masters (befriends) people other than his own real masters who freed him without taking the permission of the latter, will incur the Curse of ALLAH [S.W.T], the Angels (P.B.U.T) and all the people, and his compulsory and optional good deeds of worship will not be accepted." Narrated Said (R.A): Abu Huraira (R.A) once said (to the people), "What will your state be when you can get no Dinar or Dirhan (i.e. taxes from the Dhimmis)?" on that someone asked him, "What makes you know that this state will take place, O Abu Huraira (R.A)?" He said, "By HIM in WHOSE Hands Abu Huraira (R.A)'s life is, I know it through the statement of the true and truly inspired one (i.e. the Prophet [S.A.W.S])." The people asked, "What does the statement say?" He replied, "ALLAH [S.W.T] and HIS Apostle [S.A.W.S]'s asylum granted to Dhimmis, (i.e. non-Muslims living in a Muslim territory) will be outraged, and so ALLAH [S.W.T] will make the hearts of these Dhimmis so daring that they will refuse to pay the Jizya they will be supposed to pay."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 54: Beginning of Creation, Number 431:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "If ALLAH [S.W.T] loves a person, He calls Gabriel (P.B.U.H) saying, 'ALLAH [S.W.T] loves so and-so; O Gabriel (P.B.U.H)! Love him.' Gabriel (P.B.U.H) would love him and make an announcement amongst the inhabitants of the Heaven. 'ALLAH [S.W.T] loves so-and-so, therefore you should love him also,' and so all the inhabitants of the Heaven would love him, and then he is granted the pleasure of the people on the earth."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 54: Beginning of Creation, Number 441:
Narrated Ibn Abbas (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] asked Gabriel (P.B.U.H), "Why don't you visit us more often than you do?" Then the following Holy Verse was revealed (in this respect):-- "And we (Angels (P.B.U.T)) descend not but by the order of your LORD. To HIM belong what is before us and what is behind us, and what is between those two and your LORD was never forgetful." (19.64)

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 54: Beginning of Creation, Number 446:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "Angels (P.B.U.T) keep on descending from and ascending to the Heaven in turn, some at night and some by daytime, and all of them assemble together at the time of the Fajr and 'Asr prayers. Then those who have stayed with you over-night, ascent unto ALLAH [S.W.T] WHO asks them, and HE knows the answer better than they, "How have you left MY slaves?" They reply, "We have left them praying as we found them praying." If anyone of you says "Aameen" (during the Prayer at the end of the recitation of Surat-al-Faitiha), and the Angels (P.B.U.T) in Heaven say the same, and the two sayings coincide, all his past sins will be Forgiven."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 54: Beginning of Creation, Number 451:

Be Merciful to him and Forgive him', (and go on saying so) unless he leaves his place of praying or passes wind (i.e. breaks his ablution)."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 54: Beginning of Creation, Number 455:
Narrated Abu Ishaq-Ash-Shaibani (R.A):
I asked Zir bin Hubaish (R.A) regarding the Statement of ALLAH [S.W.T]: "And was at a distance of but two bow-lengths or (even) nearer; So did (ALLAH [S.W.T]) convey The Inspiration to HIS slave (Gabriel (P.B.U.H)) and then he (Gabriel (P.B.U.H)) Conveyed (that to Muhammad [S.A.W.S]). (53.9-10) On that, Zir (R.A) said, "Ibn Mas'ud (R.A) informed us that the Prophet [S.A.W.S] had seen Gabriel (P.B.U.H) having 600 wings."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 54: Beginning of Creation, Number 458:

I asked Aisha (R.A) "What about HIS Statement:-- "Then he (Gabriel (P.B.U.H)) approached and came closer, and was at a distance of but two bow-lengths or (even) nearer?" (53.8-9) She replied, "It was Gabriel (P.B.U.H) who used to come to the Prophet [S.A.W.S] in the figure of a man, but on that occasion, he came in his actual and real figure and (he was so huge) that he covered the whole horizon."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 54: Beginning of Creation, Number 460:

ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, "If a husband calls his wife to his bed (i.e. to have sexual relation) and she refuses and causes him to sleep in anger, the Angels (P.B.U.T) will curse her till morning."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 54: Beginning of Creation, Number 461:
Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah (R.A):
That he heard the Prophet [S.A.W.S] saying, "The Divine Inspiration was delayed for a short period but suddenly, as I was walking. I heard a voice in the sky, and when I looked up towards the sky, to my surprise, I saw the Angel (P.B.U.H) who had come to me in the Hira Cave, and he was sitting on a chair in between the sky and the earth. I was so frightened by him that I fell on the ground and came to my family and said (to them), 'Cover me! (with a blanket), cover me!' Then ALLAH [S.W.T] sent the Revelation: "O, You wrapped up (In a blanket)! (Arise and warn! And your LORD magnify And keep pure your garments, And desert the idols." (74.1-5)

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 54: Beginning of Creation, Number 462:

The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "On the night of my Ascent to the Heaven, I saw Moses (P.B.U.H) who was a tall brown curly-haired man as if he was one of the men of Shan'awa tribe, and I saw Jesus (P.B.U.H) a man of medium height and moderate complexion inclined to the red and white colors and of lank hair. I also saw Malik (P.B.U.H), the gate-keeper of the (Hell) Fire and Ad-dajjal amongst the signs which ALLAH [S.W.T] showed me." (The Prophet [S.A.W.S] then recited the Holy Verse): "So be not you in doubt of meeting him' when you met Moses during the night of Mi'raj over the heavens" (32.23) Narrated Anas and Abu Bakra (R.A): "The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "The Angels (P.B.U.T) will guard Medina from Ad-dajjal (who will not be able to enter the city of Medina)."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 54: Beginning of Creation, Number 508:
Narrated 'Aisha (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "While the Angels (P.B.U.T) talk amidst the clouds about things that are going to happen on earth, the devils hear a word of what they say and pour it in the ears of a soothsayer as one pours something in a bottle, and they add one hundred lies to that (one word)."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 54: Beginning of Creation, Number 522:

The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "When you hear the crowing of cocks, ask for ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Blessings for (their crowing indicates that) they have seen an Angel (P.B.U.H). And when you hear the braying of donkeys, seek Refuge with ALLAH [S.W.T] from satan for (their braying indicates) that they have seen a satan."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 55: Prophets (P.B.U.T), Number 543:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "ALLAH [S.W.T] created Adam (P.B.U.H), making him 60 cubits tall. When HE created him, HE said to him, "Go and greet that group of Angels (P.B.U.T), and listen to their reply, for it will be your greeting (salutation) and the greeting (salutations of your offspring." So, Adam (P.B.U.H) said (to the Angels (P.B.U.T)), As-Salamu Alaikum (i.e. Peace be upon you). The Angels (P.B.U.T) said, "As-salamu Alaika wa Rahmatu-l-lahi" (i.e. Peace and ALLAH’s Mercy be upon you). Thus the Angels (P.B.U.T) added to Adam (P.B.U.H)'s salutation the expression, 'Wa Rahmatu-l-lahi,' Any person who will enter Paradise will resemble Adam (P.B.U.H) (in appearance and figure). People have been decreasing in stature since Adam (P.B.U.H)'s creation.

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 55: Prophets (P.B.U.T), Number 583:
Narrated Ibn Abbas (R.A):
The first lady to use a girdle was the mother of Ishmael (P.B.U.T). She used a girdle so that she might hide her tracks from Sarah (P.B.U.H). Abraham (P.B.U.H) brought her and her son Ishmael (P.B.U.H) while she was suckling him, to a place near the Ka'ba under a tree on the spot of Zam-zam, at the highest place in the Mosque. During those days there was nobody in Mecca, nor was there any water So he made them sit over there and placed near them a leather bag containing some dates, and a small water-skin containing some water, and set out homeward. Ishmael (P.B.U.H)'s mother followed him saying, "O Abraham (P.B.U.H)! Where are you going, leaving us in this valley where there is no person whose company we may enjoy, nor is there anything (to enjoy)?" She repeated that to him many times, but he did not look back at her then she asked him, "Has ALLAH [S.W.T] ordered you to do so?" He said, "Yes." She said, "Then HE will not neglect us," and returned while Abraham (P.B.U.H) proceeded onwards, and on reaching the Thaniya where they could not see him, he faced the Ka'ba, and raising both hands, invoked ALLAH [S.W.T] saying the following prayers: 'O our LORD! I have made some of my offspring dwell in a valley without cultivation, by YOUR Sacred House (Ka’ba at Mecca) in order, O our LORD, that they may offer prayer perfectly. So fill some hearts among men with love towards them, and (O ALLAH [S.W.T]) provide them with fruits, so that they may give thanks.' (14.37) Ishmael (P.B.U.H)'s mother went on suckling Ishmael (P.B.U.H) and drinking from the water (she had). When the water in the water-skin had all been used up, she became thirsty and her child also became thirsty. She started looking at him (i.e. Ishmael (P.B.U.H)) tossing in agony; She left him, for she could not endure looking at him, and found that the mountain of Safa was the nearest mountain to her on that land. She stood on it and started looking at the valley keenly so that she might see somebody, but she could not see anybody. Then she descended from Safa and when she reached the valley, she tucked up her robe and ran in the valley like a person in distress and trouble, till she crossed the valley and reached the Marwa mountain where she stood and started looking, expecting to see somebody, but she could not see anybody. She repeated that (running between Safa and Marwa) seven times." the Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "This is the source of the tradition of the walking of people between them (i.e. Safa and Marwa). When she reached the Marwa (for the last time) she heard a voice and she asked herself to be quiet and listened attentively. She heard the voice again and said, 'O, (whoever you may be)! You have made me hear your voice; have you got something to help me?" And behold! She saw an Angel (P.B.U.H) at the place of Zam-zam, digging the earth with his heel (or his wing), till water flowed from that place. She started to make something like a basin around it, using her hand in this way, and started filling her water-skin with water with her hands, and the water was flowing out after she had scooped some of it." the Prophet [S.A.W.S] added, "May ALLAH [S.W.T] bestow Mercy on Ishmael (P.B.U.H)'s mother! Had she let the Zam-zam (flow without trying to control it) (or had she not scooped from that water) (to fill her water-skin), Zam-zam would have been a stream flowing on the surface of the earth." the Prophet [S.A.W.S] further added, "Then she drank (water) and suckled her child. The Angel (P.B.U.H) said to her, 'Don't be afraid of being neglected, for this is the House of ALLAH [S.W.T] which will be built by this boy and his father, and ALLAH [S.W.T] never neglects HIS people.' The House (i.e. Ka’ba) at that time was on a high place resembling a hillock, and when torrents came, they flowed to its right and left. She lived in that way till some people from the tribe of Jurhum or a family from Jurhum passed by her and her child, as they (i.e. the Jurhum people) were coming through the way of Ka’ba'. They landed in the lower part of Mecca where they saw a bird that had the habit of flying around water and not leaving it. They said, 'This bird must be flying around water, though we know that there is no water in this valley.' They sent one or two messengers who discovered the source of water, and returned to inform them of the water. So, they all came (towards the water)." the Prophet [S.A.W.S] added, "Ishmael (P.B.U.H)'s mother was sitting near the water. They asked her, 'Do you allow us to stay with you?" She replied, 'Yes, but you will have no right to possess the water.' They agreed to that." the Prophet [S.A.W.S] further said, "Ishmael (P.B.U.H)'s mother was pleased with the whole situation as she used to love to enjoy the company of the people. So, they settled there, and later on they sent for their families who came and settled with them so that some families became permanent residents there. The child (i.e. Ishmael (P.B.U.H)) grew up and learnt Arabic from them and (his virtues) caused them to love and admire him as he grew up, and when he reached the age of puberty they made him marry a woman from amongst them. After Ishmael (P.B.U.H)’s mother had died, Abraham (P.B.U.H) came after Ishmael (P.B.U.H)’s marriage in order to see his family that he had left before, but he did not find Ishmael (P.B.U.H) there. When he asked Ishmael (P.B.U.H)’s wife about him, she replied, 'He has gone in search of our livelihood.' Then he asked her about their way of living and their condition, and she replied, 'We are living in misery; we are living in hardship and destitution,' complaining to him. He said, 'When your husband returns, convey my salutation to him and tell him to change the threshold of the gate (of his house).' When Ishmael (P.B.U.H) came, he seemed to have felt something unusual, so he asked his wife, 'Has anyone visited you?' She replied, 'Yes, an old man of so-and-so description came and asked me about you and I informed him, and he asked about our state of living, and I told him that we were living in a hardship and poverty.' On that Ishmael (P.B.U.H) said, 'Did he advise you anything?' She replied, 'Yes, he told me to convey his salutation to you and to tell you to change the threshold of your gate.' Ishmael (P.B.U.H) said, 'It was my father, and he has ordered me to divorce you. Go back to your family.' So, Ishmael (P.B.U.H) divorced her and married another woman from amongst them (i.e. Jurhum). Then Abraham (P.B.U.H) stayed away from them for a period as long as ALLAH [S.W.T] wished and called on them again but did not find Ishmael (P.B.U.H). So he came to Ishmael (P.B.U.H)’s wife and asked her about Ishmael (P.B.U.H). She said, 'He has gone in search of our livelihood.' Abraham (P.B.U.H) asked her, 'How are you getting on?' asking her about their sustenance and living. She replied, 'We are prosperous and well-off (i.e. we have everything in abundance).' Then she thanked ALLAH [S.W.T]' Abraham (P.B.U.H) said, 'What kind of food do you eat?' She said. 'Meat.' He said, 'What do you drink?' She said, 'Water." He said, "O ALLAH [S.W.T]! Bless their meat and water." the Prophet [S.A.W.S] added, "At that time they did not have grain, and if they had grain, he would have also invoked ALLAH [S.W.T] to bless it." the Prophet [S.A.W.S] added, "If somebody has only these two things as his sustenance, his health and disposition will be badly affected, unless he lives in Mecca." the Prophet [S.A.W.S] added," Then Abraham (P.B.U.H) said Ishmael (P.B.U.H)’s wife, "When your husband comes, give my regards to him and tell him that he should keep firm the threshold of his gate.' When Ishmael (P.B.U.H) came back, he asked his wife, 'Did anyone call on you?' She replied, 'Yes, a good-looking old man came to me,' so she praised him and added. 'He asked about you, and I informed him, and he asked about our livelihood and I told him that we were in a good condition.' Ishmael (P.B.U.H) asked her, 'Did he give you any piece of advice?' She said, 'Yes, he told me to give his regards to you and ordered that you should keep firm the threshold of your gate.' On that Ishmael (P.B.U.H) said, 'It was my father, and you are the threshold (of the gate). He has ordered me to keep you with me.' Then Abraham (P.B.U.H) stayed away from them for a period as long as ALLAH [S.W.T] wished, and called on them afterwards. He saw Ishmael (P.B.U.H) under a tree near Zam-zam, sharpening his arrows. When he saw Abraham (P.B.U.H), he rose up to welcome him (and they greeted each other as a father does with his son or a son does with his father). Abraham (P.B.U.H) said, 'O Ishmael (P.B.U.H)! ALLAH [S.W.T] has given me an order.' Ishmael (P.B.U.H) said, 'Do what your LORD has ordered you to do.' Abraham (P.B.U.H) asked, 'Will you help me?' Ishmael (P.B.U.H) said, 'I will help you.' Abraham (P.B.U.H) said, ALLAH [S.W.T] has ordered me to build a house here,' pointing to a hillock higher than the land surrounding it." the Prophet [S.A.W.S] added, "Then they raised the foundations of the House (i.e. the Ka'ba). Ishmael (P.B.U.H) brought the stones and Abraham (P.B.U.H) was building, and when the walls became high, Ishmael (P.B.U.H) brought this stone and put it for Abraham (P.B.U.H) who stood over it and carried on building, while Ishmael (P.B.U.H) was handing him the stones, and both of them were saying, 'O our LORD! Accept (this service) from us, Verily, YOU are the ALL-HEARING, the ALL-KNOWING.' the Prophet [S.A.W.S] added, "Then both of them went on building and going round the Ka'ba saying: O our LORD! Accept (this service) from us, Verily, YOU are the ALL-HEARING, the ALL-KNOWING." (2.127)

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 55: Prophets (P.B.U.T), Number 607:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, "On the night of my Ascension to Heaven, I saw (the Prophet) Moses (P.B.U.H) who was a thin person with lank hair, looking like one of the men of the tribe of Shanua; and I saw Jesus (P.B.U.H) who was of average height with red face as if he had just come out of a bathroom. And I resemble Prophet Abraham (P.B.U.H) more than any of his offspring does. Then I was given two cups, one containing milk and the other wine. Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said, 'Drink whichever you like.' I took the milk and drank it. Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said, 'You have accepted what is natural, (True Religion i.e. Islam) and if you had taken the wine, your followers would have gone astray.' "

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 55: Prophets (P.B.U.T), Number 619:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
The Angel of Death (P.B.U.H) was sent to Moses (P.B.U.H) when he came to Moses (P.B.U.H), Moses (P.B.U.H) slapped him on the eye. The Angel (P.B.U.H) returned to his LORD and said, "YOU have sent me to a slave who does not want to die." ALLAH [S.W.T] said, "Return to him and tell him to put his hand on the back of an ox and for every hair that will come under it, he will be granted one year of life." Moses (P.B.U.H) said, "O LORD! What will happen after that?" ALLAH [S.W.T] replied, "Then death." Moses (P.B.U.H) said, "Let it come now." Moses (P.B.U.H) then requested ALLAH [S.W.T] to let him die close to the Sacred Land so much so that he would be at a distance of a stone's throw from it." Abu Huraira (R.A) added, "ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, 'If I were there, I would show you his grave below the red sand hill on the side of the road."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 56: Virtues And Merits Of The Prophet [S.A.W.S] and His Companions (R.A), Number 659:
Narrated Rabi bin Hirash (R.A):
'Uqba bin 'Amr (R.A) said to Hudhaifa (R.A), "Won't you relate to us of what you have heard from ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S]?" He said, "I heard him saying, "When Ad-dajjal appears, he will have fire and water along with him. What the people will consider as cold water, will be fire that will burn (things). So, if anyone of you comes across this, he should fall in the thing which will appear to him as fire, for in reality, it will be fresh cold water." Hudhaifa (R.A) added, "I also heard him saying, 'From among the people preceding your generation, there was a man whom the Angel of death (P.B.U.H) visited to capture his soul. (So his soul was captured) and he was asked if he had done any good deed.' He replied, 'I don't remember any good deed.' He was asked to think it over. He said, 'I do not remember, except that I used to trade with the people in the world and I used to give a respite to the rich and forgive the poor (among my debtors). So ALLAH [S.W.T] made him enter Paradise." Hudhaifa (R.A) further said, "I also heard him saying, 'Once there was a man on his death-bed, who, losing every hope of surviving said to his family: When I die, gather for me a large heap of wood and make a fire (to burn me). When the fire eats my meat and reaches my bones, and when the bones burn, take and crush them into powder and wait for a windy day to throw it (i.e. the powder) over the sea. They did so, but ALLAH [S.W.T] collected his particles and asked him: Why did you do so? He replied: For fear of YOU. So ALLAH [S.W.T] forgave him." 'Uqba bin 'Amr (R.A) said, "I heard him saying that the Israeli used to dig the grave of the dead (to steal their shrouds)."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 56: Virtues And Merits Of The Prophet [S.A.W.S] and His Companions (R.A), Number 670:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
That he heard ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] saying, "ALLAH [S.W.T] willed to test three Israelis who were a leper, a blind man and a bald-headed man. So, he sent them an Angel (P.B.U.H) who came to the leper and said, 'What thing do you like most?' He replied, "Good color and good skin, for the people have a strong aversion to me.' The Angel (P.B.U.H) touched him and his illness was cured, and he was given a good color and beautiful skin. The Angel (P.B.U.H) asked him, 'What kind of property do you like best?' He replied, 'Camels (or cows).' (The narrator is in doubt, for either the leper or the bald-headed man demanded camels and the other demanded cows.) So he (i.e. the leper) was given a pregnant she-camel, and the Angel (P.B.U.H) said (to him), 'May ALLAH [S.W.T] bless you in it.' The Angel (P.B.U.H) then went to the bald-headed man and said, 'What thing do you like most?' He said, 'I like good hair and wish to be cured of this disease, for the people feel repulsion for me.' The Angel (P.B.U.H) touched him and his illness was cured, and he was given good hair. The Angel (P.B.U.H) asked (him), 'What kind of property do you like bests' He replied, 'Cows,' The Angel (P.B.U.H) gave him a pregnant cow and said, 'May ALLAH [S.W.T] bless you in it.' The Angel (P.B.U.H) went to the blind man and asked, 'What thing do you like best?' He said, '(I like) that ALLAH [S.W.T] may restore my eye-sight to me so that I may see the people.' The Angel (P.B.U.H) touched his eyes and ALLAH [S.W.T] gave him back his eye-sight. The Angel (P.B.U.H) asked him, "What kind of property do you like best?' He replied, 'Sheep.' The Angel (P.B.U.H) gave him a pregnant sheep. Afterwards, all the three pregnant animals gave birth to young ones, and multiplied and brought forth so much that one of the (three) men had a herd of camels filling a valley, and one had a herd of cows filling a valley, and one had a flock of sheep filling a valley. Then the Angel (P.B.U.H), disguised in the shape and appearance of a leper, went to the leper and said, I am a poor man, who has lost all means of livelihood while on a journey. So none will satisfy my need except ALLAH [S.W.T] and then you. In the Name of HIM WHO has given you such nice color and beautiful skin, and so much property, I ask you to give me a camel so that I may reach my destination. The man replied, 'I have many obligations (so I cannot give you).' The Angel (P.B.U.H) said, 'I think I know you; were you not a leper to whom the people had a strong aversion? Weren't you a poor man, and then ALLAH [S.W.T] gave you (all this property).' He replied, '(This is all wrong), I got this property through inheritance from my fore-fathers' The Angel (P.B.U.H) said, 'If you are telling a lie, then let ALLAH [S.W.T] make you as you were before.' Then the Angel (P.B.U.H), disguised in the shape and appearance of a bald man, went to the bald man and said to him the same as he told the first one, and he too answered the same as the first one did. The Angel (P.B.U.H) said, 'If you are telling a lie, then let ALLAH [S.W.T] make you as you were before.' The Angel (P.B.U.H), disguised in the shape of a blind man, went to the blind man and said, 'I am a poor man and a traveler, whose means of livelihood have been exhausted while on a journey. I have nobody to help me except ALLAH [S.W.T], and after HIM, you yourself. I ask you in the Name of HIM WHO has given you back your eye-sight to give me a sheep, so that with its help, I may complete my journey' The man said, 'No doubt, I was blind and ALLAH [S.W.T] gave me back my eye-sight; I was poor and ALLAH [S.W.T] made me rich; so take anything you wish from my property. By ALLAH [S.W.T], I will not stop you for taking anything (you need) of my property which you may take for ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Sake.' The Angel (P.B.U.H) replied, 'Keep your property with you. You (i.e. 3 men) have been tested and ALLAH [S.W.T] is pleased with you and is angry with your two companions."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 56: Virtues And Merits Of The Prophet [S.A.W.S] and His Companions (R.A), Number 671:
Narrated Ibn Umar (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, "Once three persons (from the previous nations) were traveling, and suddenly it started raining and they took shelter in a cave. The entrance of the cave got closed while they were inside. They said to each other, 'O you! Nothing can save you except the truth, so each of you should ask ALLAH [S.W.T]’s help by referring to such a deed as he thinks he did sincerely (i.e. just for gaining ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Pleasure).' So one of them said, 'O ALLAH! YOU know that I had a laborer who worked for me for one Faraq (i.e. three Sas) of rice, but he departed, leaving it (i.e. his wages). I sowed that Faraq of rice and with its yield I bought cows (for him). Later on when he came to me asking for his wages, I said (to him), 'Go to those cows and drive them away.' He said to me, 'But you have to pay me only a Faraq of rice,' I said to him, 'Go to those cows and take them, for they are the product of that Faraq (of rice).' So he drove them. O ALLAH! If YOU consider that I did that for fear of YOU, then please remove the rock.' The rock shifted a bit from the mouth of the cave. The second one said, 'O ALLAH [S.W.T], YOU know that I had old parents whom I used to provide with the milk of my sheep every night. One night I was delayed and when I came, they had slept, while my wife and children were crying with hunger. I used not to let them (i.e. my family) drink unless my parents had drunk first. So I disliked to wake them up and also disliked that they should sleep without drinking it, I kept on waiting (for them to wake) till it dawned. O ALLAH! If YOU consider that I did that for fear of YOU, then please remove the rock.' So the rock shifted and they could see the sky through it. The (third) one said, 'O ALLAH! YOU know that I had a cousin (i.e. my paternal uncle's daughter) who was most beloved to me and I sought to seduce her, but she refused, unless I paid her one-hundred Dinars (i.e. gold pieces). So I collected the amount and brought it to her, and she allowed me to sleep with her. But when I sat between her legs, she said, 'Be afraid of ALLAH [S.W.T], and do not deflower me but legally. 'I got up and left the hundred Dinars (for her). O ALLAH! If YOU consider that I did that for fear of YOU than please remove the rock. So ALLAH [S.W.T] saved them and they came out (of the cave)." (This Hadith indicates that one can only ask ALLAH [S.W.T] for help directly or through his performed good deeds. But to ask ALLAH [S.W.T] through dead or absent Prophets (P.B.U.T), saints, spirits, holy men, Angels (P.B.U.T) etc. is absolutely forbidden in Islam and it is a kind of disbelief.)

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 56: Virtues And Merits Of The Prophet [S.A.W.S] and His Companions (R.A), Number 676:
Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "Amongst the men of Bani Israel there was a man who had murdered ninety-nine persons. Then he set out asking (whether his repentance could be accepted or not). He came upon a monk and asked him if his repentance could be accepted. The monk replied in the negative and so the man killed him. He kept on asking till a man advised to go to such and such village. (So he left for it) but death overtook him on the way. While dying, he turned his chest towards that village (where he had hoped his repentance would be accepted), and so the Angels (P.B.U.T) of mercy and the Angels (P.B.U.T) of punishment quarreled amongst themselves regarding him. ALLAH [S.W.T] ordered the village (towards which he was going) to come closer to him, and ordered the village (whence he had come), to go far away, and then HE ordered the Angels (P.B.U.T) to measure the distances between his body and the two villages. So he was found to be one span closer to the village (he was going to). So he was forgiven."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 56: Virtues And Merits Of The Prophet [S.A.W.S] and His Companions (R.A), Number 819:
Narrated 'Aisha (R.A):
Once Fatima (R.A) came walking and her gait resembled the gait of the Prophet [S.A.W.S]. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "Welcome, O my daughter!" Then he made her sit on his right or on his left side, and then he told her a secret and she started weeping. I asked her, "Why are you weeping?" He again told her a secret and she started laughing. I said, "I never saw happiness so near to sadness as I saw today." I asked her what the Prophet [S.A.W.S] had told her. She said, "I would never disclose the secret of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S]." When the Prophet [S.A.W.S] died, I asked her about it. She replied. "The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said: 'Every year Gabriel (P.B.U.H) used to revise the Qur'an with me once only, but this year he has done so twice. I think this portends my death, and you will be the first of my family to follow me.' So I started weeping. Then he said. 'Don't you like to be the mistress of all the ladies of Paradise or the mistress of all the lady believers? So I laughed for that."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 56: Virtues And Merits Of The Prophet [S.A.W.S] and His Companions (R.A), Number 827:
Narrated Abu Uthman (R.A):
I got the news that Gabriel (P.B.U.H) came to the Prophet [S.A.W.S] while Um Salama (R.A) was present. Gabriel (P.B.U.H) started talking (to the Prophet [S.A.W.S] and then left. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said to Um Salama (R.A), "(Do you know) who it was?" (or a similar question). She said, "It was Dihya (R.A) (a handsome person amongst the companions (R.A) of the Prophet [S.A.W.S])." Later on Um Salama (R.A) said, "By ALLAH [S.W.T]! I thought he was none but Dihya (R.A), till I heard the Prophet [S.A.W.S] talking about Gabriel (P.B.U.H) in his sermon." (The Sub-narrator asked Abu 'Uthman (R.A), "From where have you heard this narration?" He replied, "From Usama bin Zaid (R.A).")

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 5, Book 58: Merits of the Helpers in Medina (Ansaar), Number 227:
Narrated Abbas bin Malik (R.A):
Malik bin Sasaa (R.A) said that ALLAH [S.W.T]'s Apostle [S.A.W.S] described to them his Night Journey saying, "While I was lying in Al-Hatim or Al-Hijr, suddenly someone came to me and cut my body open from here to here." I asked Al-Jarud (R.A) who was by my side, "What does he mean?" He said, "It means from his throat to his pubic area," or said, "From the top of the chest." The Prophet [S.A.W.S] further said, "He then took out my heart. Then a gold tray of Belief was brought to me and my heart was washed and was filled (with Belief) and then returned to its original place. Then a white animal which was smaller than a mule and bigger than a donkey was brought to me." (On this Al-Jarud (R.A) asked, "Was it the Buraq, O Abu Hamza (R.A)?" I (i.e. Anas (R.A)) replied in the affirmative). The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "The animal's step (was so wide that it) reached the farthest point within the reach of the animal's sight. I was carried on it, and Gabriel (P.B.U.H) set out with me till we reached the nearest heaven. When he asked for the gate to be opened, it was asked, 'Who is it?' Gabriel (P.B.U.H) answered, 'Gabriel (P.B.U.H).' It was asked, 'Who is accompanying you?' Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied, 'Muhammad [S.A.W.S].' It was asked, 'Has Muhammad [S.A.W.S] been called?' Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied in the affirmative. Then it was said, 'He is welcomed. What an excellent visit his is!' The gate was opened, and when I went over the first heaven, I saw Adam (P.B.U.H) there. Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said (to me). 'This is your father, Adam (P.B.U.H); pay him your greetings.' So I greeted him and he returned the greeting to me and said, 'You are welcomed, O pious son and pious Prophet.' Then Gabriel (P.B.U.H) ascended with me till we reached the second heaven. Gabriel (P.B.U.H) asked for the gate to be opened. It was asked, 'Who is it?' Gabriel (P.B.U.H) answered, 'Gabriel (P.B.U.H).' It was asked, 'Who is accompanying you?' Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied, 'Muhammad [S.A.W.S].' It was asked, 'Has he been called?' Gabriel (P.B.U.H) answered in the affirmative. Then it was said, 'He is welcomed. What an excellent visit his is!' The gate was opened. When I went over the second heaven, there I saw Yahya (i.e. John) and 'Isa (i.e. Jesus) (P.B.U.T) who were cousins of each other. Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said (to me), 'These are John and Jesus (P.B.U.T); pay them your greetings.' So I greeted them and both of them returned my greetings to me and said, 'You are welcomed, O pious brother and pious Prophet.' Then Gabriel (P.B.U.H) ascended with me to the third heaven and asked for its gate to be opened. It was asked, 'Who is it?' Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied, 'Gabriel (P.B.U.H).' It was asked, 'Who is accompanying you?' Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied, 'Muhammad [S.A.W.S].' It was asked, 'Has he been called?' Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied in the affirmative. Then it was said, 'He is welcomed, what an excellent visit his is!' The gate was opened, and when I went over the third heaven there I saw Joseph (P.B.U.H). Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said (to me), 'This is Joseph (P.B.U.H); pay him your greetings.' So I greeted him and he returned the greeting to me and said, 'You are welcomed, O pious brother and pious Prophet.' Then Gabriel (P.B.U.H) ascended with me to the fourth heaven and asked for its gate to be opened. It was asked, 'Who is it?' Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied, 'Gabriel (P.B.U.H)' It was asked, 'Who is accompanying you?' Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied, 'Muhammad [S.A.W.S].' It was asked, 'Has he been called?' Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied in the affirmative. Then it was said, 'He is welcomed, what an excellent visit his is!' The gate was opened, and when I went over the fourth heaven, there I saw Idris (P.B.U.H). Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said (to me), 'This is Idris (P.B.U.H); pay him your greetings.' So I greeted him and he returned the greeting to me and said, 'You are welcomed, O pious brother and pious Prophet.' Then Gabriel (P.B.U.H) ascended with me to the fifth heaven and asked for its gate to be opened. It was asked, 'Who is it?' Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied, 'Gabriel (P.B.U.H).' It was asked. 'Who is accompanying you?' Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied, 'Muhammad [S.A.W.S].' It was asked, 'Has he been called?' Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied in the affirmative. Then it was said 'He is welcomed, what an excellent visit his is!' So when I went over the fifth heaven, there I saw Harun (i.e. Aaron) (P.B.U.H), Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said, (to me). This is Aaron (P.B.U.H); pay him your greetings.' I greeted him and he returned the greeting to me and said, 'You are welcomed, O pious brother and pious Prophet.' Then Gabriel (P.B.U.H) ascended with me to the sixth heaven and asked for its gate to be opened. It was asked. 'Who is it?' Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied, 'Gabriel (P.B.U.H).' It was asked, 'Who is accompanying you?' Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied, 'Muhammad [S.A.W.S].' It was asked, 'Has he been called?' Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied in the affirmative. It was said, 'He is welcomed. What an excellent visit his is!' When I went (over the sixth heaven), there I saw Moses (P.B.U.H). Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said (to me),' This is Moses (P.B.U.H); pay him your greeting. So I greeted him and he returned the greetings to me and said, 'You are welcomed, O pious brother and pious Prophet.' When I left him (i.e. Moses (P.B.U.H)) he wept. Someone asked him, 'What makes you weep?' Moses (P.B.U.H) said, 'I weep because after me there has been sent (as Prophet [S.A.W.S]) a young man whose followers will enter Paradise in greater numbers than my followers.' Then Gabriel (P.B.U.H) ascended with me to the seventh heaven and asked for its gate to be opened. It was asked, 'Who is it?' Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied, 'Gabriel (P.B.U.H).' It was asked,' Who is accompanying you?' Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied, 'Muhammad [S.A.W.S].' It was asked, 'Has he been called?' Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied in the affirmative. Then it was said, 'He is welcomed. What an excellent visit his is!' So when I went (over the seventh heaven), there I saw Abraham (P.B.U.H). Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said (to me), 'This is your father; pay your greetings to him.' So I greeted him and he returned the greetings to me and said, 'You are welcomed, O pious son and pious Prophet.' Then I was made to ascend to Sidrat-ul-Muntaha (i.e. the Lote Tree of the utmost boundary) Behold! Its fruits were like the jars of Hajr (i.e. a place near Medina) and its leaves were as big as the ears of elephants. Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said, 'This is the Lote Tree of the utmost boundary). Behold! There ran four rivers, two were hidden and two were visible, I asked, 'What are these two kinds of rivers, O Gabriel (P.B.U.H)?' He replied,' As for the hidden rivers, they are two rivers in Paradise and the visible rivers are the Nile and the Euphrates.' Then Al-Bait-ul-Ma'mur (i.e. the Sacred House) was shown to me and a container full of wine and another full of milk and a third full of honey were brought to me. I took the milk. Gabriel (P.B.U.H) remarked, 'This is the Islamic religion which you and your followers are following.' Then the prayers were enjoined on me: They were fifty prayers a day. When I returned, I passed by Moses (P.B.U.H) who asked (me), 'What have you been ordered to do?' I replied, 'I have been ordered to offer fifty prayers a day.' Moses (P.B.U.H) said, 'Your followers cannot bear fifty prayers a day, and by ALLAH [S.W.T], I have tested people before you, and I have tried my level best with Bani Israel (in vain). Go back to your LORD and ask for reduction to lessen your followers' burden.' So I went back, and ALLAH [S.W.T] reduced ten prayers for me. Then again I came to Moses (P.B.U.H), but he repeated the same as he had said before. Then again I went back to ALLAH [S.W.T] and HE reduced ten more prayers. When I came back to Moses (P.B.U.H) he said the same, I went back to ALLAH [S.W.T] and HE ordered me to observe ten prayers a day. When I came back to Moses (P.B.U.H), he repeated the same advice, so I went back to ALLAH [S.W.T] and was ordered to observe five prayers a day. When I came back to Moses (P.B.U.H), he said, 'What have you been ordered?' I replied, 'I have been ordered to observe five prayers a day.' He said, 'Your followers cannot bear five prayers a day, and no doubt, I have got an experience of the people before you, and I have tried my level best with Bani Israel, so go back to your LORD and ask for reduction to lessen your follower's burden.' I said, 'I have requested so much of my LORD that I feel ashamed, but I am satisfied now and surrender to ALLAH [S.W.T]'s Order.' When I left, I heard a voice saying, 'I have passed MY Order and have lessened the burden of MY Worshipers."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 5, Book 59: Military Expeditions led by the Prophet [S.A.W.S] (Al-Maghaazi), Number 327:
Narrated Rifaa (R.A) (who was one of the Badr warriors):
Gabriel (P.B.U.H) came to the Prophet [S.A.W.S] and said, "How do you look upon the warriors of Badr among yourselves?" The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "As the best of the Muslims." or said a similar statement. On that, Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said, "And so are the Angels (P.B.U.T) who participated in the Badr (battle)."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 5, Book 59: Military Expeditions led by the Prophet [S.A.W.S] (Al-Maghaazi), Number 330:
Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said on the day (of the battle) of Badr, "This is Gabriel (P.B.U.H) holding the head of his horse and equipped with arms for the battle.

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 5, Book 59: Military Expeditions led by the Prophet [S.A.W.S] (Al-Maghaazi), Number 338:
Narrated Ibn Abbas (R.A):
Abu Talha (R.A), a companion of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] and one of those who fought at Badr together with ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] told me that ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said. "Angels (P.B.U.T) do not enter a house in which there is a dog or a picture" He meant the images of creatures that have souls.

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 5, Book 59: Military Expeditions led by the Prophet [S.A.W.S] (Al-Maghaazi), Number 406:
Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] used to shroud two Martyrs of Uhud in one sheet and then say, "Which of them knew Qur’an more?" When one of the two was pointed out, he would put him first in the grave. Then he said, "I will be a witness for them on the Day of Resurrection." He ordered them to be buried with their blood (on their bodies). Neither was the funeral prayer offered for them, nor were they washed. Jabir (R.A) added, "When my father was Martyred, I started weeping and uncovering his face. The Companions (R.A) of the Prophet [S.A.W.S] stopped me from doing so but the Prophet [S.A.W.S] did not stop me. Then the Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, '(O Jabir (R.A)) don't weep over him, for the Angels (P.B.U.T) kept on covering him with their wings till his body was carried away (for burial)."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 5, Book 59: Military Expeditions led by the Prophet [S.A.W.S] (Al-Maghaazi), Number 444:
Narrated Anas (R.A):
As if I am just now looking at the dust rising in the street of Banu Ghanm (in Medina) because of the marching of Gabriel (P.B.U.H)'s regiment when ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] set out to Banu Quraiza (to attack them).

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 5, Book 59: Military Expeditions led by the Prophet [S.A.W.S] (Al-Maghaazi), Number 448:
Narrated 'Aisha (R.A):
Sad (R.A) was wounded on the day of Khandaq (i.e. Trench) when a man from Quraish, called Hibban bin Al-'Araqa hit him (with an arrow). The man was Hibban bin Qais from (the tribe of) Bani Mais bin 'Amir bin Lu'ai who shot an arrow at Sad (R.A)'s medial arm vein (or main artery of the arm). The Prophet [S.A.W.S] pitched a tent (for Sad (R.A)) in the Mosque so that he might be near to the Prophet [S.A.W.S] to visit. When the Prophet [S.A.W.S] returned from the (battle) of Al-Khandaq (i.e. Trench) and laid down his arms and took a bath Gabriel (P.B.U.H) came to him while he (i.e. Gabriel (P.B.U.H)) was shaking the dust off his head, and said, "You have laid down the arms?" By ALLAH [S.W.T], I have not laid them down. Go out to them (to attack them)." The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "Where?" Gabriel (P.B.U.H) pointed towards Bani Quraiza. So ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] went to them (i.e. Banu Quraiza) (i.e. besieged them). They then surrendered to the Prophet [S.A.W.S]'s judgment but he directed them to Sad (R.A) to give his verdict concerning them. Sad (R.A) said, "I give my judgment that their warriors should be killed, their women and children should be taken as captives, and their properties distributed." Narrated Hisham (R.A): My father informed me that 'Aisha (R.A) said, "Sad (R.A) said, "O ALLAH! You know that there is nothing more beloved to me than to fight in YOUR Cause against those who disbelieved YOUR Apostle [S.A.W.S] and turned him out (of Mecca). O ALLAH [S.W.T]! I think you have put to an end the fight between us and them (i.e. Quraish infidels). And if there still remains any fight with the Quraish (infidels), then keep me alive till I fight against them for YOUR Sake. But if you have brought the war to an end, then let this wound burst and cause my death thereby.' So blood gushed from the wound. There was a tent in the Mosque belonging to Banu Ghifar who were surprised by the blood flowing towards them. They said, 'O people of the tent! What is this thing which is coming to us from your side?' Behold! Blood was flowing profusely out of Sad (R.A)'s wound. Sad (R.A) then died because of that."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 6, Book 60: Prophetic Commentary on the Qur’an (Tafseer of the Prophet [S.A.W.S]), Number 7:
Narrated Anas (R.A):
'Abdullah bin Salam (R.A) heard the news of the arrival of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] (at Medina) while he was on a farm collecting its fruits. So he came to The Prophet [S.A.W.S] and said, "I will ask you about three things which nobody knows unless he be a Prophet. Firstly, what is the first portent of the Hour? What is the first meal of the people of Paradise? And what makes a baby look like its father or mother?'. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "Just now Gabriel (P.B.U.H) has informed me about that." 'Abdullah (R.A) said, "Gabriel (P.B.U.H.)?" The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "Yes." 'Abdullah (R.A) said, "He, among the Angels (P.B.U.T) is the enemy of the Jews." On that the Prophet [S.A.W.S] recited this Holy Verse:-- "Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel (let him die in his fury!) for he has brought it (i.e. Qur'an) down to your heart by ALLAH’s permission." (2.97) Then he added, "As for the first portent of the Hour, it will be a fire that will collect the people from the East to West. And as for the first meal of the people of Paradise, it will be the caudite (i.e. extra) lobe of the fish liver. And if a man's discharge proceeded that of the woman, then the child resembles the father, and if the woman's discharge proceeded that of the man, then the child resembles the mother." On hearing that, 'Abdullah (R.A) said, "I testify that none has the right to be Worshiped but ALLAH, and that you are the Apostle of ALLAH, O, ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S]; the Jews are liars, and if they should come to know that I have embraced Islam, they would accuse me of being a liar." In the meantime, some Jews came (to the Prophet [S.A.W.S]) and he asked them, "What is 'Abdullah (R.A)'s status amongst you?" They replied, "He is the best amongst us, and he is our chief and the son of our chief." The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "What would you think if 'Abdullah bin Salam (R.A) embraced Islam?" They replied, "May ALLAH [S.W.T] protect him from this!" Then 'Abdullah (R.A) came out and said, "I testify that none has the right to be Worshiped but ALLAH and that Muhammad [S.A.W.S] is the Apostle of ALLAH." The Jews then said, "Abdullah (R.A) is the worst of us and the son of the worst of us," and disparaged him. On that 'Abdullah (R.A) said, "O ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S]! This is what I was afraid of!"

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 6, Book 60: Prophetic Commentary on the Qur’an (Tafseer of the Prophet [S.A.W.S]), Number 149:
Narrated Ibn Abbas (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] delivered a sermon and said, "O people! You will be gathered before ALLAH [S.W.T] bare-footed, naked and not circumcised." Then (quoting Qur’an) he said:-- "As WE began the first creation, WE shall repeat it. A promise WE have undertaken: Truly WE shall do it.." (21.104) The Prophet [S.A.W.S] then said, "The first of the human beings to be dressed on the Day of Resurrection, will be Abraham (P.B.U.H). Lo! Some men from my followers will be brought and then (the Angels (P.B.U.T)) will drive them to the left side (Hell-Fire). I will say. 'O my LORD! (They are) my companions!' Then a reply will come (from ALMIGHTY), 'You do not know what they did after you.' I will say as the pious slave (the Prophet Jesus (P.B.U.H)) said: And I was a witness over them while I dwelt amongst them. When YOU took me up. YOU were the WATCHER over them and YOU are a WITNESS to all things.' (5.117) Then it will be said, "These people have continued to be apostates since you left them."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 6, Book 60: Prophetic Commentary on the Qur’an (Tafseer of the Prophet [S.A.W.S]), Number 232:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]'s Apostle [S.A.W.S] was presented with two cups one containing wine and the other milk on the night of his night journey at Jerusalem. He looked at it and took the milk. Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said, "Thanks to ALLAH [S.W.T] WHO guided you to the Fitra (i.e. Islam); if you had taken the wine, your followers would have gone astray.

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 6, Book 60: Prophetic Commentary on the Qur’an (Tafseer of the Prophet [S.A.W.S]), Number 255:
Narrated Ibn Abbas (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said to Gabriel (P.B.U.H), "What prevents you from visiting us more often than you visit us now?" So there was revealed:-- 'And we (Angels (P.B.U.T)) descend not but by the command of your LORD. To HIM belongs what is before us and what is behind us...'(19.64)

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 6, Book 60: Prophetic Commentary on the Qur’an (Tafseer of the Prophet [S.A.W.S]), Number 324:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "When ALLAH [S.W.T] decrees some order in the heaven, the Angels (P.B.U.T) flutter their wings indicating complete surrender to HIS saying which sounds like chains being dragged on rock. And when the state of fear disappears, they ask each other, "What has your LORD ordered? They say that HE has said that which is true and just, and HE is the MOST HIGH, the MOST GREAT." (34.23). Then the stealthy listeners (devils) hear this order, and these stealthy listeners are like this, one over the other." (Sufyan (R.A), a sub-narrator demonstrated that by holding his hand upright and separating the fingers.) A stealthy listener hears a word which he will convey to that which is below him and the second will convey it to that which is below him till the last of them will convey it to the wizard or foreteller. Sometimes a flame (fire) may strike the devil before he can convey it, and sometimes he may convey it before the flame (fire) strikes him, whereupon the wizard adds to that word a hundred lies. The people will then say, 'Didn't he (i.e. magician) tell such-and-such a thing on such-and-such date?' So that magician is said to have told the truth because of the Statement which has been heard from the heavens."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 6, Book 60: Prophetic Commentary on the Qur’an (Tafseer of the Prophet [S.A.W.S]), Number 488:
Narrated Anas (R.A):
When the Prophet [S.A.W.S] was made to ascend to the Heavens, he said (after his return), "I came upon a river the banks of which were made of tents of hollow pearls. I asked Gabriel (P.B.U.H). What is this (river?" He replied, 'This is the Kauthar.'

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 6, Book 61: Virtues of the Qur'an, Number 513:
Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Abbas (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, "Gabriel (P.B.U.H) recited the Qur'an to me in one way. Then I requested him (to read it in another way), and continued asking him to recite it in other ways, and he recited it in several ways till he ultimately recited it in seven different ways."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 7, Book 62: Wedlock, Marriage (Nikaah), Number 57:
Narrated 'Aisha (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said (to me), "You were shown to me in a dream. An Angel (P.B.U.H) brought you to me, wrapped in a piece of silken cloth, and said to me, 'This is your wife.' I removed the piece of cloth from your face, and there you were. I said to myself. 'If it is from ALLAH [S.W.T], then it will surely be.' "

(The Prophet) Solomon son of (the Prophet) David (P.B.U.T) said, "Tonight I will go round (i.e. have sexual relations with) one hundred women (my wives) everyone of whom will deliver a male child who will fight in ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Cause." On that an Angel (P.B.U.H) said to him, "Say: 'If ALLAH will.'" But Solomon (P.B.U.H) did not say it and forgot to say it. Then he had sexual relations with them but none of them delivered any child except one who delivered a half person. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "If Solomon (P.B.U.H) had said: 'If ALLAH will,' ALLAH [S.W.T] would have fulfilled his (above) desire and that saying would have made him more hopeful."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 8, Book 74: Asking Permission, Number 285:
Narrated Abu Dhar (R.A):
While I was walking with the Prophet [S.A.W.S] at the Hurra of Medina in the evening, the mountain of Uhud appeared before us. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "O Abu Dhar (R.A)! I would not like to have gold equal to Uhud (mountain) for me, unless nothing of it, not even a single Dinar remains of it with me, for more than one day or three days, except that single Dinar which I will keep for repaying debts. I will spend all of it (the whole amount) among ALLAH [S.W.T]’s slaves like this and like this and like this." The Prophet [S.A.W.S] pointed out with his hand to illustrate it and then said, "O Abu Dhar (R.A)!" I replied, "Labbaik wa Sa'daik, O ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S]!" He said, "Those who have much wealth (in this world) will be the least rewarded (in the Hereafter) except those who do like this and like this (i.e., spend their money in charity)." Then he ordered me, "Remain at your place and do not leave it, O Abu Dhar (R.A), till I come back." He went away till he disappeared from me. Then I heard a voice and feared that something might have happened to ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S], and I intended to go (to find out) but I remembered the statement of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] that I should not leave, my place, so I kept on waiting (and after a while the Prophet [S.A.W.S] came), and I said to him, "O ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S], I heard a voice and I was afraid that something might have happened to you, but then I remembered your statement and stayed (there). The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "That was Gabriel (P.B.U.H) who came to me and informed me that whoever among my followers died without joining others in Worship with ALLAH [S.W.T], would enter Paradise." I said, "O ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S]! Even if he had committed illegal sexual intercourse and theft?" He said, "Even if he had committed illegal sexual intercourse and theft.'

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 8, Book 75: Invocations, Number 417:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]'s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, "ALLAH [S.W.T] has some Angels (P.B.U.T) who look for those who celebrate the Praises of ALLAH [S.W.T] on the roads and paths. And when they find some people celebrating the Praises of ALLAH [S.W.T], they call each other, saying, "Come to the object of your pursuit.'" He added, "Then the Angels (P.B.U.T) encircle them with their wings up to the sky of the world." He added. "(after those people celebrated the Praises of ALLAH [S.W.T], and the Angels (P.B.U.T) go back), their LORD, asks them (those Angels (P.B.U.T)) - though HE knows better than them----'What do MY slaves say?' The Angels (P.B.U.T) reply, 'they say: Subhan ALLAH, ALLAHU Akbar, and Alham-du-lillah, ALLAH [S.W.T] then says 'Did they see ME?' The Angels (P.B.U.T) reply, 'No! By ALLAH [S.W.T], they didn't see YOU.' ALLAH [S.W.T] says, How it would have been if they saw ME?' The Angels (P.B.U.T) reply, 'If they saw YOU, they would Worship YOU more devoutly and celebrate YOUR Glory more deeply, and declare YOUR freedom from any resemblance to anything more often.' ALLAH [S.W.T] says (to the Angels (P.B.U.T)), 'What do they ask ME for?' The Angels (P.B.U.T) reply, 'They ask YOU for Paradise.' ALLAH [S.W.T] says (to the Angels (P.B.U.T)), 'Did they see it?' The Angels (P.B.U.T) say, 'No! By ALLAH [S.W.T], O LORD! They did not see it.' ALLAH [S.W.T] says, How it would have been if they saw it?' The Angels (P.B.U.T) say, 'If they saw it, they would have greater covetousness for it and would seek it with greater zeal and would have greater desire for it.' ALLAH [S.W.T] says, 'From what do they seek refuge?' The Angels (P.B.U.T) reply, 'They seek refuge from the (Hell) Fire.' ALLAH [S.W.T] says, 'Did they see it?' The Angels (P.B.U.T) say, 'No! By ALLAH [S.W.T], O LORD! They did not see it.' ALLAH [S.W.T] says, How it would have been if they saw it?' The Angels (P.B.U.T) say, 'If they saw it they would flee from it with the extreme fleeing and would have extreme fear from it.' Then ALLAH [S.W.T] says, 'I make you witnesses that I have Forgiven them."' ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] added, "One of the Angels (P.B.U.T) would say, 'There was so-and-so amongst them, and he was not one of them, but he had just come for some need.' ALLAH [S.W.T] would say, 'These are those people whose companions will not be reduced to misery.'"

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 8, Book 76: To Make the Heart Tender (Ar-Riqaq), Number 498:
Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] narrating about his LORD and said, "ALLAH [S.W.T] ordered (the appointed Angels (P.B.U.T) over you) that the good and the bad deeds be written, and HE then showed (the way) how (to write). If somebody intends to do a good deed and he does not do it, then ALLAH [S.W.T] will write for him a full good deed (in his account with HIM); and if he intends to do a good deed and actually did it, then ALLAH [S.W.T] will write for him (in his account with HIM) (its reward equal) from ten to seven hundred times to many more times: and if somebody intended to do a bad deed and he does not do it, then ALLAH [S.W.T] will write a full good deed (in his account with HIM), and if he intended to do it (a bad deed) and actually did it, then ALLAH [S.W.T] will write one bad deed (in his account)."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 8, Book 76: To Make the Heart Tender (Ar-Riqaq), Number 549:
Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "The people were displayed in front of me and I saw one Prophet (P.B.U.H) passing by with a large group of his followers, and another Prophet (P.B.U.H) passing by with only a small group of people, and another Prophet (P.B.U.H) passing by with only ten (persons), and another Prophet (P.B.U.H) passing by with only five (persons), and another Prophet (P.B.U.H) passed by alone. And then I looked and saw a large multitude of people, so I asked Gabriel (P.B.U.H), "Are these people my followers?' He said, 'No, but look towards the horizon.' I looked and saw a very large multitude of people. Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said: 'Those are your followers, and those are seventy thousand (persons) in front of them who will neither have any reckoning of their accounts nor will receive any punishment.' I asked, 'Why?' He said, 'For they used not to treat themselves with branding (cauterization) nor with Ruqya (get oneself treated by the recitation of some Verses of the Qur'an) and not to see evil omen in things, and they used to put their trust (only) in their LORD." On hearing that, 'Ukasha bin Mihsan (R.A) got up and said (to the Prophet [S.A.W.S]), "Invoke ALLAH [S.W.T] to make me one of them." The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "O ALLAH [S.W.T], make him one of them." Then another man got up and said (to the Prophet [S.A.W.S]), "Invoke ALLAH [S.W.T] to make me one of them." The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, 'Ukasha (R.A) has preceded you."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 8, Book 76: To Make the Heart Tender (Ar-Riqaq), Number 587:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "While I was sleeping, a group (of my followers were brought close to me), and when I recognized them, a man (an Angel (P.B.U.H)) came out from amongst (us) me and them, he said (to them), 'Come along.' I asked, 'Where?' He said, 'To the (Hell) Fire, by ALLAH [S.W.T]' I asked, 'what is wrong with them' He said, 'They turned apostate as renegades after you left.' Then behold! (Another) group (of my followers) were brought close to me, and when I recognized them, a man (an Angel (P.B.U.H)) came out from (me and them) he said (to them); Come along.' I asked, "Where?' He said, 'To the (Hell) Fire, by ALLAH [S.W.T].' I asked, What is wrong with them?' He said, 'They turned apostate as renegades after you left. So I did not see anyone of them escaping except a few who were like camels without a shepherd."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 87: Interpretation of Dreams, Number 150:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
We were sitting with ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S], he said, "While I was sleeping, I saw myself in Paradise. Suddenly I saw a woman performing ablution beside a palace. I asked, "For whom is this palace?" They (the Angels (P.B.U.T)) replied, "It is for 'Umar bin Al-Khattab (R.A)." Then I remembered 'Umar (R.A)'s ghira and went back hurriedly." On hearing that, 'Umar (R.A) started weeping and said, “Let my father and mother be sacrificed for you. O ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S]! How dare I think of my Ghira being offended by you?"

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 87: Interpretation of Dreams, Number 155:
Narrated Ibn 'Umar (R.A):
Men from the companions (R.A) of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] used to see dreams during the lifetime of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] and they used to narrate those dreams to ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S]. ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] would interpret them as ALLAH [S.W.T] wished. I was a young man and used to stay in the Mosque before my wedlock. I said to myself, "If there were any good in myself, I too would see what these people see." So when I went to bed one night, I said, "O ALLAH! If you see any good in me, show me a good dream." So while I was in that state, there came to me (in a dream) two Angels (P.B.U.T). In the hand of each of them, there was a mace of iron, and both of them were taking me to Hell, and I was between them, invoking ALLAH [S.W.T], "O ALLAH! I seek refuge with YOU from Hell." Then I saw myself being confronted by another Angel (P.B.U.H) holding a mace of iron in his hand. He said to me, "Do not be afraid, you will be an excellent man if you only pray more often." So they took me till they stopped me at the edge of Hell, and behold, it was built inside like a well and it had side posts like those of a well, and beside each post there was an Angel (P.B.U.H) carrying an iron mace. I saw therein many people hanging upside down with iron chains, and I recognized therein some men from the Quraish. Then (the Angels (P.B.U.T)) took me to the right side. I narrated this dream to (my sister) Hafsa (R.A) and she told it to ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S]. ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, "No doubt, 'Abdullah (R.A) is a good man." (Nafi' (R.A) said, "Since then 'Abdullah bin 'Umar (R.A) used to pray much.)

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 87: Interpretation of Dreams, Number 171:
Narrated Samura bin Jundub (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] very often used to ask his companions (R.A), "Did anyone of you see a dream?" So dreams would be narrated to him by those whom ALLAH [S.W.T] wished to tell. One morning the Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "Last night two persons came to me (in a dream) and woke me up and said to me, 'Proceed!' I set out with them and we came across a man lying down, and behold, another man was standing over his head, holding a big rock. Behold, he was throwing the rock at the man's head, injuring it. The rock rolled away and the thrower followed it and took it back. By the time he reached the man, his head returned to the normal state. The thrower then did the same as he had done before. I said to my two companions (P.B.U.T), 'Subhan ALLAH! Who are these two persons?' They said, 'Proceed!' So we proceeded and came to a man lying flat on his back and another man standing over his head with an iron hook, and behold, he would put the hook in one side of the man's mouth and tear off that side of his face to the back (of the neck) and similarly tear his nose from front to back and his eye from front to back. Then he turned to the other side of the man's face and did just as he had done with the other side. He hardly completed this side when the other side returned to its normal state. Then he returned to it to repeat what he had done before. I said to my two companions (P.B.U.T), 'Subhan ALLAH! Who are these two persons?' They said to me, 'Proceed!' So we proceeded and came across something like a Tannur (a kind of baking oven, a pit usually clay-lined for baking bread)." I think the Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "In that oven there was much noise and voices." The Prophet [S.A.W.S] added, "We looked into it and found naked men and women, and behold, a flame of fire was reaching to them from underneath, and when it reached them, they cried loudly. I asked them, 'Who are these?' They said to me, 'Proceed!' And so we proceeded and came across a river." I think he said, ".... red like blood." The Prophet [S.A.W.S] added, "And behold, in the river there was a man swimming, and on the bank there was a man who had collected many stones. Behold, while the other man was swimming, he went near him. The former opened his mouth and the latter (on the bank) threw a stone into his mouth whereupon he went swimming again. He returned and every time the performance was repeated, I asked my two companions (P.B.U.T), 'who are these (two) persons?' They replied, 'Proceed! Proceed!' And we proceeded till we came to a man with a repulsive appearance, the most repulsive appearance, you ever saw a man having! Beside him there was a fire and he was kindling it and running around it. I asked my companions (P.B.U.T), 'Who is this (man)?' They said to me, 'Proceed! Proceed!' So we proceeded till we reached a garden of deep green dense vegetation, having all sorts of spring colors. In the midst of the garden there was a very tall man and I could hardly see his head because of his great height, and around him there were children in such a large number as I have never seen. I said to my companions (P.B.U.T), 'Who is this?' They replied, 'Proceed! Proceed!' So we proceeded till we came to a majestic huge garden, greater and better than I have ever seen! My two companions (P.B.U.T) said to me, 'Go up and I went up' The Prophet [S.A.W.S] added, "So we ascended till we reached a city built of gold and silver bricks and we went to its gate and asked (the gatekeeper (P.B.U.H)) to open the gate, and it was opened and we entered the city and found in it, men with one side of their bodies as handsome as the handsomest person you have ever seen, and the other side as ugly as the ugliest person you have ever seen. My two companions (P.B.U.T) ordered those men to throw themselves into the river. Behold, there was a river flowing across (the city), and its water was like milk in whiteness. Those men went and threw themselves in it and then returned to us after the ugliness (of their bodies) had disappeared and they became in the best shape." The Prophet [S.A.W.S] further added, "My two companions (Angels (P.B.U.T)) said to me, 'This place is the Eden Paradise, and that is your place.' I raised up my sight, and behold, there I saw a palace like a white cloud! My two companions (P.B.U.T) said to me, 'That (palace) is your place.' I said to them, 'May ALLAH bless you both! Let me enter it.' They replied, 'As for now, you will not enter it, but you shall enter it (one day) I said to them, 'I have seen many wonders tonight. What does all that mean which I have seen?' They replied, 'We will inform you: As for the first man you came upon whose head was being injured with the rock, he is the symbol of the one who studies the Qur’an and then neither recites it nor acts on its orders, and sleeps, neglecting the enjoined prayers. As for the man you came upon whose sides of mouth, nostrils and eyes were torn off from front to back, he is the symbol of the man who goes out of his house in the morning and tells so many lies that it spreads all over the world. And those naked men and women whom you saw in a construction resembling an oven, they are the adulterers and the adulteresses, and the man whom you saw swimming in the river and given a stone to swallow, is the eater of usury (Riba) and the bad looking man whom you saw near the fire kindling it and going round it, is Malik (P.B.U.H), the gatekeeper of Hell and the tall man whom you saw in the garden, is Abraham (P.B.U.H) and the children around him are those children who die with Al-Fitra (the Islamic Faith)." The narrator added: Some Muslims asked the Prophet [S.A.W.S], "O ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] [S.A.W.S]! What about the children of pagans?" The Prophet [S.A.W.S] replied, "And also the children of pagans." The Prophet [S.A.W.S] added, "My two companions (P.B.U.T) added, 'The men you saw half handsome and half ugly were those persons who had mixed an act that was good with another that was bad, but ALLAH [S.W.T] Forgave them.'"

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 92: Holding Fast to the Qur'an and Sunnah, Number 385:
Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah (R.A):
Some Angels (P.B.U.T) came to the Prophet [S.A.W.S] while he was sleeping. Some of them said, "He is sleeping." Others said, "His eyes are sleeping but his heart is awake." Then they said, "There is an example for this companion of yours." One of them said, "Then set forth an example for him." Some of them said, "He is sleeping." The others said, "His eyes are sleeping but his heart is awake." Then they said, "His example is that of a man who has built a house and then offered therein a banquet and sent an inviter (messenger) to invite the people. So whoever accepted the invitation of the inviter, entered the house and ate of the banquet, and whoever did not accept the invitation of the inviter, did not enter the house, nor did he eat of the banquet." Then the Angels (P.B.U.T) said, "Interpret this example to him so that he may understand it." Some of them said, "He is sleeping.'' The others said, "His eyes are sleeping but his heart is awake." And then they said, "The houses stands for Paradise and the call maker is Muhammad [S.A.W.S]; and whoever obeys Muhammad [S.A.W.S], obeys ALLAH [S.W.T]; and whoever disobeys Muhammad [S.A.W.S], disobeys ALLAH [S.W.T]. Muhammad [S.A.W.S] separated the people (i.e. through his message, the good is distinguished from the bad, and the believers from the disbelievers)."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 93: Oneness, Uniqueness of ALLAH [S.W.T] (Tawheed), Number 507:
Narrated Anas (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "ALLAH [S.W.T] will gather the believers on the Day of Resurrection in the same way (as they are gathered in this life), and they will say, 'Let us ask someone to intercede for us with our LORD that HE may relieve us from this place of ours.' Then they will go to Adam (P.B.U.H) and say, 'O Adam (P.B.U.H)! Don't you see the people (people's condition)? ALLAH [S.W.T] created you with HIS OWN Hands and ordered HIS Angels (P.B.U.T) to prostrate before you, and taught you the names of all the things. Please intercede for us with our LORD so that HE may relieve us from this place of ours.' Adam (P.B.U.H) will say, 'I am not fit for this undertaking' and mention to them the mistakes he had committed, and add, "But you’d better go to Noah (P.B.U.H) as he was the first Apostle sent by ALLAH [S.W.T] to the people of the Earth.' They will go to Noah (P.B.U.H) who will reply, 'I am not fit for this undertaking,' and mention the mistake which he made, and add, 'but you'd better go to Abraham (P.B.U.H), Khalil Ar-Rahman.' They will go to Abraham (P.B.U.H) who will reply, 'I am not fit for this undertaking,' and mention to them the mistakes he made, and add, 'But you'd better go to Moses (P.B.U.H), a slave whom ALLAH [S.W.T] gave the Torah and to whom HE spoke directly' They will go to Moses (P.B.U.H) who will reply, 'I am not fit for this undertaking,' and mention to them the mistakes he made, and add, 'You'd better go to Jesus (P.B.U.H), ALLAH [S.W.T]’s slave and HIS Apostle and HIS Word (Be: And it was) and a soul created by HIM.' They will go to Jesus (P.B.U.H) who will say, 'I am not fit for this undertaking, but you'd better go to Muhammad [S.A.W.S] whose sins of the past and the future had been forgiven (by ALLAH [S.W.T]).' So they will come to me and I will ask the permission of my LORD, and I will be permitted (to present myself) before HIM. When I see my LORD, I will fall down in (prostration) before HIM and HE will leave me (in prostration) as long as HE wishes, and then it will be said to me, 'O Muhammad [S.A.W.S]! Raise your head and speak, for you will be listened to; and ask, for you will be granted (your request); and intercede, for your intercession will be accepted.' I will then raise my head and Praise my LORD with certain Praises which HE has taught me, and then I will intercede. ALLAH [S.W.T] will allow me to intercede (for a certain kind of people) and will fix a limit whom I will admit into Paradise. I will come back again, and when I see my LORD (again), I will fall down in prostration before HIM, and HE will leave me (in prostration) as long as HE wishes, and then HE will say, 'O Muhammad [S.A.W.S]! Raise your head and speak, for you will be listened to; and ask, for you will be granted (your request); and intercede, for your intercession will be accepted.' I will then Praise my LORD with certain Praises which HE has taught me, and then I will intercede. ALLAH [S.W.T] will allow me to intercede (for a certain kind of people) and will fix a limit to whom I will admit into Paradise, I will return again, and when I see my LORD, I will fall down (in prostration) and HE will leave me (in prostration) as long as HE wishes, and then HE will say, 'O Muhammad [S.A.W.S]! Raise your head and speak, for you will be listened to, and ask, for you will be granted (your request); and intercede, for your intercession will be accepted.' I will then Praise my LORD with certain Praises which HE has taught me, and then I will intercede. ALLAH [S.W.T] will allow me to intercede (for a certain kind of people) and will fix a limit to whom I will admit into Paradise. I will come back and say, 'O my LORD! None remains in Hell (Fire) but those whom Qur'an has imprisoned therein and for whom eternity in Hell (Fire) has become inevitable.' "The Prophet [S.A.W.S] added, "There will come out of Hell (Fire) everyone who says: 'La ilaha illal-lah,' and has in his heart good equal to the weight of a barley grain. Then there will come out of Hell (Fire) everyone who says: ' La ilaha illal-lah,' and has in his heart good equal to the weight of a wheat grain. Then there will come out of Hell (Fire) everyone who says: 'La ilaha illal-lah,' and has in his heart good equal to the weight of an atom (or a smallest ant)."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 93: Oneness, Uniqueness of ALLAH [S.W.T] (Tawheed), Number 532c:
Narrated 'Ata' bin Yazid Al-Laithi (R.A) on the authority of Abu Huraira (R.A):
The people said, "O ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle (R.A)! Shall we see our LORD on the Day of Resurrection?" The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "Do you have any difficulty in seeing the moon on a full moon night?" They said, "No, O ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle (R.A)." He said, "Do you have any difficulty in seeing the sun when there are no clouds?" They said, "No, O ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle (R.A)." He said, "So you will see HIM, like that. ALLAH [S.W.T] will gather all the people on the Day of Resurrection, and say, 'Whoever Worshiped something (in the world) should follow (that thing),' so, whoever Worshiped the sun will follow the sun, and whoever Worshiped the moon will follow the moon, and whoever used to Worship certain (other false) deities, he will follow those deities. And there will remain only this nation with its good people (or its hypocrites). (The sub-narrator, Ibrahim (R.A) is in doubt.) ALLAH [S.W.T] will come to them and say, 'I am your LORD.' They will (deny HIM and) say, 'We will stay here till our LORD comes, for when our LORD comes, we will recognize HIM.' So ALLAH [S.W.T] will come to them in HIS appearance which they know, and will say, 'I am your LORD.' They will say, 'YOU are our LORD,' so they will follow HIM. Then a bridge will be laid across Hell (Fire)' I and my followers will be the first ones to go across it and none will speak on that Day except the Apostles (P.B.U.T). And the invocation of the Apostles (P.B.U.T) on that Day will be, 'O ALLAH [S.W.T], save! Save!' In Hell (or over The Bridge) there will be hooks like the thorns of As-Sa'dan (thorny plant). Have you seen As-Sa'dan? " They replied, "Yes, O ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S]!" He said, "So those hooks look like the thorns of As-Sa'dan, but none knows how big they are except ALLAH [S.W.T]. Those hooks will snap the people away according to their deeds. Some of the people will stay in Hell (be destroyed) because of their (evil) deeds, and some will be cut or torn by the hooks (and fall into Hell) and some will be punished and then relieved. When ALLAH [S.W.T] has finished HIS Judgments among the people, HE will take whomever HE will out of Hell through HIS Mercy. HE will then order the Angels (P.B.U.T) to take out of the Fire all those who used to Worship none but ALLAH [S.W.T] from among those whom ALLAH [S.W.T] wanted to be Merciful to and those who testified (in the world) that none has the right to be Worshiped but ALLAH [S.W.T]. The Angels (P.B.U.T) will recognize them in the Fire by the marks of prostration (on their foreheads), for the Fire will eat up all the human body except the mark caused by prostration as ALLAH [S.W.T] has forbidden the Fire to eat the mark of prostration. They will come out of the (Hell) Fire, completely burnt and then the water of life will be poured over them and they will grow under it as does a seed that comes in the mud of the torrent. Then ALLAH [S.W.T] will finish the Judgments among the people, and there will remain one man facing the (Hell) Fire and he will be the last person among the people of Hell to enter Paradise. He will say, 'O my LORD! Please turn my face away from the fire because its air has hurt me and its severe heat has burnt me.' So he will invoke ALLAH [S.W.T] in the way ALLAH [S.W.T] will wish him to invoke, and then ALLAH [S.W.T] will say to him, 'If I grant you that, will you then ask for anything else?' He will reply, 'No, by YOUR Power, (Honor) I will not ask YOU for anything else.' He will give his LORD whatever promises and covenants ALLAH [S.W.T] will demand. So ALLAH [S.W.T] will turn his face away from Hell (Fire). When he will face Paradise and will see it, he will remain quiet for as long as ALLAH [S.W.T] will wish him to remain quiet, then he will say, 'O my LORD! Bring me near to the gate of Paradise.' ALLAH [S.W.T] will say to him, 'Didn't you give your promises and covenants that you would never ask for anything more than what you had been given? Woe on you, O Adam (P.B.U.H)'s son! How treacherous you are!' He will say, 'O my LORD,' and will keep on invoking ALLAH [S.W.T] till HE says to him, 'If I give what you are asking, will you then ask for anything else?' He will reply, 'No, by YOUR (Honor) Power, I will not ask for anything else.' Then he will give covenants and promises to ALLAH [S.W.T] and then ALLAH [S.W.T] will bring him near to the gate of Paradise. When he stands at the gate of Paradise, Paradise will be opened and spread before him, and he will see its splendor and pleasures whereupon he will remain quiet as long as ALLAH [S.W.T] will wish him to remain quiet, and then he will say, O my LORD! Admit me into Paradise.' ALLAH [S.W.T] will say, 'Didn't you give your covenants and promises that you would not ask for anything more than what you had been given?' ALLAH [S.W.T] will say, 'Woe on you, O Adam (P.B.U.H)'s son! How treacherous you are! ' The man will say, 'O my LORD! Do not make me the most miserable of YOUR Creation,' and he will keep on invoking ALLAH [S.W.T] till ALLAH [S.W.T] will laugh because of his sayings, and when ALLAH [S.W.T] will laugh because of him, HE will say to him, 'Enter Paradise,' and when he will enter it, ALLAH [S.W.T] will say to him, 'Wish for anything.' So he will ask his LORD, and he will wish for a great number of things, for ALLAH [S.W.T] HIMSELF will remind him to wish for certain things by saying, '(Wish for) so-and-so.' When there is nothing more to wish for, ALLAH [S.W.T] will say, 'This is for you, and its equal (is for you) as well." 'Ata' bin Yazid (R.A) added: Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (R.A) who was present with Abu Huraira (R.A), did not deny whatever the latter said, but when Abu Huraira (R.A) said that ALLAH [S.W.T] had said, "That is for you and its equal as well," Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (R.A) said, "And ten times as much, O Abu Huraira (R.A)!" Abu Huraira (R.A) said, "I do not remember, except his saying, 'That is for you and its equal as well.'" Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (R.A) then said, "I testify that I remember the Prophet [S.A.W.S] saying, 'That is for you, and ten times as much.'" Abu Huraira (R.A) then added, "That man will be the last person of the people of Paradise to enter Paradise."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 93: Oneness, Uniqueness of ALLAH [S.W.T] (Tawheed), Number 532s:
Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (R.A):
We said, "O ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S]! Shall we see our LORD on the Day of Resurrection?" He said, "Do you have any difficulty in seeing the sun and the moon when the sky is clear?" We said, "No." He said, "So you will have no difficulty in seeing your LORD on that Day as you have no difficulty in seeing the sun and the moon (in a clear sky)." The Prophet [S.A.W.S] then said, "Somebody will then announce, 'Let every nation follow what they used to Worship.' So the companions of the cross will go with their cross, and the idolaters (will go) with their idols, and the companions of every god (false deities) (will go) with their god, till there remain those who used to Worship ALLAH [S.W.T], both the obedient ones and the mischievous ones, and some of the people of the Scripture. Then Hell will be presented to them as if it were a mirage. Then it will be said to the Jews, "What did you use to Worship?' They will reply, 'We used to Worship Ezra (P.B.U.H), the son of ALLAH [S.W.T].' It will be said to them, 'You are liars, for ALLAH [S.W.T] has neither a wife nor a son. What do you want (now)?' They will reply, 'We want YOU to provide us with water.' Then it will be said to them 'Drink,' and they will fall down in Hell (instead). Then it will be said to the Christians, 'What did you use to Worship?' They will reply, 'We used to Worship Messiah (P.B.U.H), the son of ALLAH [S.W.T].' It will be said, 'You are liars, for ALLAH [S.W.T] has neither a wife nor a son. What do you want (now)?' They will say, 'We want YOU to provide us with water.' It will be said to them, 'Drink,' and they will fall down in Hell (instead). When there remain only those who used to Worship ALLAH [S.W.T] (Alone), both the obedient ones and the mischievous ones, it will be said to them, 'What keeps you here when all the people have gone?' They will say, 'We parted with them (in the world) when we were in greater need of them than we are today, we heard the call of one proclaiming, 'Let every nation follow what they used to Worship,' and now we are waiting for our LORD.' Then the ALMIGHTY will come to them in a shape other than the one which they saw the first time, and HE will say, 'I am your LORD,' and they will say, 'You are not our LORD.' And none will speak to HIM then but the Prophets (P.B.U.T), and then it will be said to them, 'Do you know any sign by which you can recognize HIM?' They will say. 'The Shin,' and so ALLAH [S.W.T] will then uncover HIS Shin whereupon every believer will prostrate before HIM and there will remain those who used to prostrate before HIM just for showing off and for gaining good reputation. These people will try to prostrate but their backs will be rigid like one piece of a wood (and they will not be able to prostrate). Then the bridge will be laid across Hell." We, the Companions (R.A) of the Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "O ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S]! What is the bridge?' He said, "It is a slippery (bridge) on which there are clamps and (Hooks like) a thorny seed that is wide at one side and narrow at the other and has thorns with bent ends. Such a thorny seed is found in Najd and is called As-Sa'dan. Some of the believers will cross the bridge as quickly as the wink of an eye, some others as quick as lightning, a strong wind, fast horses or she-camels. So some will be safe without any harm; some will be safe after receiving some scratches, and some will fall down into Hell (Fire). The last person will cross by being dragged (over the bridge)." The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "You (Muslims) cannot be more pressing in claiming from me a right that has been clearly proved to be yours than the believers in interceding with ALMIGHTY for their (Muslim) brothers on that Day, when they see themselves safe. They will say, 'O ALLAH! (Save) our brothers (for they) used to pray with us, fast with us and also do good deeds with us.' ALLAH [S.W.T] will say, 'Go and take out (of Hell) anyone in whose heart you find faith equal to the weight of one (gold) Dinar.' ALLAH [S.W.T] will forbid the Fire to burn the faces of those sinners. They will go to them and find some of them in Hell (Fire) up to their feet, and some up to the middle of their legs. So they will take out those whom they will recognize and then they will return, and ALLAH [S.W.T] will say (to them), 'Go and take out (of Hell) anyone in whose heart you find faith equal to the weight of one half Dinar.' They will take out whomever they will recognize and return, and then ALLAH [S.W.T] will say, 'Go and take out (of Hell) anyone in whose heart you find faith equal to the weight of an atom (or a smallest ant), and so they will take out all those whom they will recognize." Abu Sa'id (R.A) said: If you do not believe me then read the Holy Verse:-- 'Surely! ALLAH wrongs not even of the weight of an atom (or a smallest ant) but if there is any good (done) HE doubles it.' (4.40) The Prophet [S.A.W.S] added, "Then the Prophets and Angels (P.B.U.T) and the believers will intercede, and (last of all) the ALMIGHTY (ALLAH [S.W.T]) will say, 'Now remains MY Intercession. HE will then hold a handful of the Fire from which HE will take out some people whose bodies have been burnt, and they will be thrown into a river at the entrance of Paradise, called the water of life. They will grow on its banks, as a seed carried by the torrent grows. You have noticed how it grows beside a rock or beside a tree, and how the side facing the sun is usually green while the side facing the shade is white. Those people will come out (of the River of Life) like pearls, and they will have (golden) necklaces, and then they will enter Paradise whereupon the people of Paradise will say, 'These are the people emancipated by the BENEFICENT. HE has admitted them into Paradise without them having done any good deeds and without sending forth any good (for themselves).' Then it will be said to them, 'For you is what you have seen and its equivalent as well.'"

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 93: Oneness, Uniqueness of ALLAH [S.W.T] (Tawheed), Number 532v:
Narrated Anas (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "The believers will be kept (waiting) on the Day of Resurrection so long that they will become worried and say, "Let us ask somebody to intercede far us with our LORD so that HE may relieve us from our place. Then they will go to Adam (P.B.U.H) and say, 'You are Adam (P.B.U.H), the father of the people. ALLAH [S.W.T] created you with HIS OWN Hand and made you reside in HIS Paradise and ordered HIS Angels (P.B.U.T) to prostrate before you, and taught you the names of all things will you intercede for us with your LORD so that HE may relieve us from this place of ours? Adam (P.B.U.H) will say, 'I am not fit for this undertaking.' He will mention his mistakes he had committed, i.e., his eating off the tree though he had been forbidden to do so. He will add, 'Go to Noah (P.B.U.H), the first Prophet sent by ALLAH [S.W.T] to the people of the Earth.' The people will go to Noah (P.B.U.H) who will say, 'I am not fit for this undertaking' He will mention his mistake which he had done, i.e., his asking his LORD without knowledge.' He will say (to them), 'Go to Abraham (P.B.U.H), Khalil Ar-Rahman.' They will go to Abraham (P.B.U.H) who will say, 'I am not fit for this undertaking. He would mention three words by which he told a lie, and say (to them). 'Go to Moses (P.B.U.H), a slave whom ALLAH [S.W.T] gave the Torah and spoke to, directly and brought near HIM, for conversation.' They will go to Moses (P.B.U.H) who will say, 'I am not fit for this undertaking. He will mention his mistake he made, i.e., killing a person, and will say (to them), 'Go to Jesus (P.B.U.H), ALLAH [S.W.T]’s slave and HIS Apostle, and a soul created by HIM and HIS Word.' (Be: And it was.) They will go to Jesus (P.B.U.H) who will say, 'I am not fit for this undertaking but you'd better go to Muhammad [S.A.W.S] the slave whose past and future sins have been forgiven by ALLAH [S.W.T].' So they will come to me, and I will ask my LORD's permission to enter HIS House and then I will be permitted. When I see HIM I will fall down in prostration before HIM, and HE will leave me (in prostration) as long as HE will, and then HE will say, 'O Muhammad [S.A.W.S], lift up your head and speak, for you will be listened to, and intercede, for your intercession will be accepted, and ask (for anything) for it will be granted:' Then I will raise my head and Glorify my LORD with certain Praises which HE has taught me. ALLAH [S.W.T] will put a limit for me (to intercede for a certain type of people) I will take them out and make them enter Paradise." (Qatada (R.A) said: I heard Anas (R.A) saying that), the Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "I will go out and take them out of Hell (Fire) and let them enter Paradise, and then I will return and ask my LORD for permission to enter HIS House and I will be permitted. When I will see HIM I will fall down in prostration before HIM and HE will leave me in prostration as long as HE will let me (in that state), and then HE will say, 'O Muhammad [S.A.W.S], raise your head and speak, for you will be listened to, and intercede, for your intercession will be accepted, and ask, your request will be granted.'" The Prophet [S.A.W.S] added, "So I will raise my head and Glorify and Praise HIM as HE has taught me. Then I will intercede and HE will put a limit for me (to intercede for a certain type of people). I will take them out and let them enter Paradise." (Qatada (R.A) added: I heard Anas (R.A) saying that) the Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, 'I will go out and take them out of Hell (Fire) and let them enter Paradise, and I will return for the third time and will ask my LORD for permission to enter HIS house, and I will be allowed to enter. When I see HIM, I will fall down in prostration before HIM, and will remain in prostration as long as HE will, and then HE will say, 'Raise your head, O Muhammad [S.A.W.S], and speak, for you will be listened to, and intercede, for your intercession will be accepted, and ask, for your request will be granted.' So I will raise my head and Praise ALLAH [S.W.T] as HE has taught me and then I will intercede and HE will put a limit for me (to intercede for a certain type of people). I will take them out and let them enter Paradise." (Qatada (R.A) said: I heard Anas (R.A) saying that) the Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "So I will go out and take them out of Hell (Fire) and let them enter Paradise, till none will remain in the Fire except those whom Qur’an will imprison (i.e., those who are destined for eternal life in the fire)." The narrator then recited the Verse:-- "It may be that your LORD will raise you to a Station of Praise and Glory.' (17.79) The narrator added: This is the Station of Praise and Glory which ALLAH [S.W.T] has promised to your Prophet [S.A.W.S].

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 93: Oneness, Uniqueness of ALLAH [S.W.T] (Tawheed), Number 588:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said that Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said, "Here is Khadija (R.A) coming to you with a dish of food or a tumbler containing something to drink. Convey to her a greeting from her LORD (ALLAH [S.W.T]) and give her the glad tidings that she will have a palace in Paradise built of Qasab wherein there will be neither any noise nor any fatigue (trouble)."

Sahih Muslim, Chapter 1, Book 1: Faith (Kitab Al Iman), Number 0001:
It is narrated on the authority of Yahya b. Ya’mur (R.A):
That the first man who discussed about Qadr (Divine Decree) in Basra was Ma’bad al-Juhani (R.A). I along with Humaid b. ‘Abdur-Rahman Himyari (R.A) set out for pilgrimage or for ‘Umrah and said: Should it so happen that we come into contact with one of the Companions (R.A) of the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] we shall ask him about what is talked about Taqdir (Division Decree). Accidentally we came across Abdullah ibn Umar ibn al-Khattab (R.A), while he was entering the Mosque. My companion and I surrounded him. One of us (stood) on his right and the other stood on his left. I expected that my companion would authorize me to speak. I therefore said: Abu Abdur Rahman (R.A)! There have appeared some people in our land who recite the Holy Qur’an and pursue knowledge. And then after talking about their affairs, added: They (such people) claim that there is no such thing as Divine Decree and events are not predestined. He (Abdullah ibn Umar (R.A)) said: When you happen to meet such people tell them that I have nothing to do with them and they have nothing to do with me. And verily they are in no way responsible for my (belief). Abdullah ibn Umar (R.A) swore by HIM (the LORD) (and said): If any one of them (who does not believe in the Divine Decree) had with him gold equal to the bulk of (the mountain) Uhud and then, it (in the way of ALLAH), ALLAH [S.W.T] would not accept it unless he affirmed his faith in Divine Decree. He further said: My father, Umar ibn al-Khattab (R.A), told me: One day we were sitting in the company of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] when there appeared before us a man dressed in pure white clothes, his hair extraordinarily black. There were no signs of travel on him. None amongst us recognized him. At last he sat with the Apostle of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S]. He knelt before him placed his palms on his thighs and said: Muhammad [S.A.W.S], inform me about al-Islam. The Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] said: Al-Islam implies that you testify that there is no god but ALLAH and that Muhammad [S.A.W.S] is the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T], and you establish prayer, pay Zakat, observe the fast of Ramadan, and perform pilgrimage to the (House) if you are solvent enough (to bear the expense of) the journey. He (the inquirer) said: You have told the truth. He (Umar ibn al-Khattab (R.A)) said: It amazed us that he would put the question and then he would himself verify the truth. He (the inquirer) said: Inform me about Iman (faith). He (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) replied: That you affirm your faith in ALLAH [S.W.T], in HIS Angels (P.B.U.T), in HIS Books, in HIS Apostles (P.B.U.T), in the Day of Judgment, and you affirm your faith in the Divine Decree about good and evil. He (the inquirer) said: You have told the truth. He (the inquirer) again said: Inform me about al-Ihsan (performance of good deeds). He (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) said: That you Worship ALLAH [S.W.T] as if you are seeing HIM, for though you don’t see HIM, HE, verily, sees you. He (the enquirer) again said: Inform me about the hour (of the Doom). He (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) remarked: One who is asked knows no more than the one who is inquiring (about it). He (the inquirer) said: Tell me some of its indications. He (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) said: That the slave-girl will give birth to her mistress and master, that you will find barefooted destitute goat-herds vying with one another in the construction of magnificent buildings. He (the narrator, Umar ibn al-Khattab (R.A)) said: Then he (the inquirer) went on his way but I stayed with him (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) for a long while. He then, said to me: Umar (R.A), do you know who this inquirer was? I replied: ALLAH [S.W.T] and HIS Apostle of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] knows best. He (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) remarked: He was Gabriel (P.B.U.H) (the Angel). He came to you in order to instruct you in matters of religion.

Sahih Muslim, Chapter 55, Book 1: Faith (Kitab Al Iman), Number 0220:
It is narrated on the authority of Ibn Shamasa Mahri (R.A):
That he said: We went to Amr b. al-As (R.A) and he was about to die. He wept for a long time and turned his face towards the wall. His son said: Did the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] (not give you tidings of this? Did the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] not give you tidings of this? He (the narrator) said: He turned his face (towards the audience) and said: The best thing which we can count upon is the testimony that there is no god but ALLAH and that Muhammad [S.A.W.S] is the Apostle of ALLAH [S.W.T]. Verily I have passed through three phases. (The first one) in which I found myself averse to none else more than I was averse to the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] and there was no other desire stronger in me than the one that I should overpower him and kill him. Had I died in this state, I would have been definitely one of the denizens of Fire. When ALLAH [S.W.T] instilled the love of Islam in my heart, I came to the Apostle of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] and said: Stretch out your right hand so that may pledge my allegiance to you. He stretched out his right hand, I withdrew my hand, He (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) said: What has happened to you, O ‘Amr (R.A)? replied: I intend to lay down some condition. He asked: What condition do you intend to put forward? I said: should be granted pardon. He (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) observed: Are you not aware of the fact that Islam wipes out all the previous (misdeeds)? Verily migration wipes out all the previous (misdeeds), and verily the pilgrimage wipes out all the (previous) misdeeds. And then no one as or dear to me than the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] and none was more sublime in my eyes than he, Never could I, pluck courage to catch a full glimpse of his face due to its splendor. So if I am asked to describe his features, I cannot do that for I have not eyed him fully. Had I died in this state had every reason to hope that I would have been among the dwellers of Paradise. Then we were responsible for certain things (in the light of which) I am unable to know what is in store for me. When I die, let neither female mourner nor fire accompany me. When you bury me, fill my grave well with earth, then stand around it for the time within which a camel is slaughtered and its meat is distributed so that I may enjoy your intimacy and (in your company) ascertain what answer I can give to the Messengers (Angels (P.B.U.T)) of ALLAH [S.W.T].

Sahih Muslim, Chapter 55, Book 1: Faith (Kitab Al Iman), Number 0228:
It is reported on the authority of Abu Huraira (R.A):
That when it was revealed to the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S]: To ALLAH belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth and whether you disclose that which is in your mind or conceal it, ALLAH [S.W.T] will call you to account according to it. Then HE forgives whom HE pleases and chastises whom HE Pleases; and ALLAH is over everything Potent" (2.284). The Companions (R.A) of the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] felt it hard and severe and they came to the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] and sat down on their knees and said: Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S], we were assigned some duties which were within our power to perform, such as prayer, fasting, struggling (in the cause of ALLAH [S.W.T]), charity. Then this (the above mentioned) verse was revealed unto you and it is beyond our power to live up to it. The Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] said: Do you intend to say what the people of two books (Jews and Christians) said before you: "We hear and disobey"? You should rather say:" We hear and we obey, (we seek) THY forgiveness, our LORD! and unto THEE is the return." And they said: "We hear and we obey, (we seek) THY forgiveness, Our LORD! and unto THEE is the return." When the people recited it and it smoothly flowed on their tongues, then ALLAH [S.W.T] revealed immediately afterwards: "The Apostle believes in that which is sent down unto him from his LORD, and so do the believers. Each one believes in ALLAH and HIS Angels and HIS Books and HIS Apostles, saying: We differentiate not between any of HIS Apostles and they say: We hearken and we obey: (we seek) THY forgiveness, our LORD! And unto THEE is the return" (2.285). When they did that, ALLAH [S.W.T] abrogated this (verse) and the GREAT, MAJESTIC, ALLAH [S.W.T] revealed: "ALLAH burdens not a soul beyond its capacity. It gets every good that it earns and it suffers every ill that it earns. Our LORD, punish us not if we forget or make a mistake." (The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said:) Yes, our LORD! Do not lay on us a burden as THOU didst lay on those before us. (The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said:) Yes, our LORD, impose not on us (burdens) which we have not the strength to bear (The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said:) Yes, and Pardon us and grant us Protection and have Mercy on us. THOU art our PATRON, so grant us victory over the disbelieving people" (2.286). HE (the LORD) said: Yes.

Sahih Muslim, Chapter 81, Book 1: Faith (Kitab Al Iman), Number 0352:
Abu Sa’id al-Khudri (R.A) reported:
Some people during the lifetime of the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] said: Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S]! Shall we see our LORD on the Day of Resurrection? The Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] said: Yes, and added: Do you feel any trouble in seeing the sun at noon with no cloud over it, and do you feel trouble in seeing the moon (open) in the full moonlit night with no cloud over it? They said: No, Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S]! He (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) said: You will not feel any trouble in seeing ALLAH [S.W.T] on the Day of Resurrection any more than you do in seeing any one of them. When the Day of Resurrection comes a Mu’adhdhin (a proclaimer) would proclaim: Let every people follow what they used to Worship. Then all who Worshiped idols and stones besides ALLAH [S.W.T] would fall into the Fire, till only the righteous and the vicious and some of the people of the Book who Worshiped ALLAH [S.W.T] are left. Then the Jews would be summoned, and it would be said to them: What did you Worship? They will say: We Worshiped ‘Uzair (P.B.U.H), son of ALLAH [S.W.T]. It would be said to them: You tell a lie; ALLAH [S.W.T] had never had a spouse or a son. What do you want now? They would say: We feel thirsty, O our LORD! Quench our thirst. They would be directed (to a certain direction) and asked: Why don’t you go there to drink water? Then they would be pushed towards the Fire (and they would find to their great dismay that) it was but a mirage (and the raging flames of fire) would be consuming one another, and they would fall into the Fire. Then the Christians would be summoned and it would be said to them: What did you Worship? They would say: We Worshiped Jesus (P.B.U.H), son of ALLAH [S.W.T]. It would be said to them: You tell a lie; ALLAH [S.W.T] did not take for HIMSELF either a spouse or a son. Then it would be said to them: What do you want? They would say: Thirsty we are, O our LORD! Quench our thirst. They would be directed (to a certain direction) and asked: Why don’t you go there to get water? But they would be pushed and gathered together towards the Hell, which was like a mirage to them, and the flames would consume one another. They would fall Into the Fire, till no one is left except he who Worshiped ALLAH [S.W.T], be he pious or sinful. The LORD of the Universe, GLORIFIED and EXALTED, would come to them in a form recognizable to them and say; What are you looking for? Every people follow that which they Worshiped. They would say: Our LORD, we kept ourselves separate from the people in the world, though we felt great need of them; we, however, did not associate ourselves with them. HE would say: I am your LORD. They would say: We take refuge with ALLAH [S.W.T] from thee and do not associate anything with ALLAH [S.W.T]. They would repeat it twice or thrice, till some of them would be about to return. It would be said: Is there any sign between you and HIM by which you will recognize HIM? They would say: Yes. And the things would be laid bare. Those who used to prostrate themselves before ALLAH [S.W.T] of their own accord would be permitted by ALLAH [S.W.T] to prostrate themselves. But there would remain none who used to prostrate out of fear (of people) and ostentation but ALLAH [S.W.T] would make his back as one piece, and whenever he would attempt to prostrate he would fall on his back. Then they would raise their heads and HE would assume the Form in which they had seen HIM the first time and would say: I am your LORD. They would say: THOU art our LORD. Then the bridge would be set up over the Hell and intercession would be allowed and they will say: O ALLAH [S.W.T], keep safe, keep safe. It was asked: Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S], what is this bridge? He said: The void in which one is likely to slip. There would be hooks, tongs, spits like the thorn that is found in Najd and is known as Sa’dan. The believers would then pass over within the twinkling of an eye, like lightning, like wind, like a bird, like the finest horses and camels. Some will escape and be safe, some will be lacerated and let go, and some will be pushed into the fire of Hell till the believers will find rescue from the Fire. By ONE in WHOSE Hand is my life, there will be none among you more eager to claim a right than the believers on the Day of Resurrection for (saying their) brethren in the Fire who would say: O our LORD, they were fasting along with us, and praying and performing pilgrimage. It will be said to them: Take out those whom you recognize. Then their persons would be forbidden to the Fire; and they would take out a large number of people who had been overtaken by Fire up to the middle of the shank or up to the knees. They would then say: O our LORD! I not one of those about whom THOU didst give us command remains in it. HE will then say: Go back and bring out those in whose hearts you find good of the weight of a dinar. Then they will take out a large number of people. Then they would say: O our LORD! We have not left anyone about whom YOU commanded us. HE will then say: Go back and bring out those in whose hearts you find as much as half a dinar of good. Then they will take out a large number of people, and would say: O our LORD! Not one of those about whom THOU commanded us we have left in it. Then HE would say: Go back and in whose heart you find good to the weight of a particle bring him out. They would bring out a large number of people, and would then say: O our LORD, now we have not left anyone in it (Hell) having any good in him. Abu Sa’id Khudri (R.A) said: If you don’t testify me in this Hadith, then recite if you like: "Surely ALLAH wrongs not the weight of an atom; and if it is a good deed. HE multiplies it and gives from HIMSELF a great reward" (al-Qur’an, 4.40). Then ALLAH [S.W.T], EXALTED and GREAT, would say: The Angels (P.B.U.T) have interceded, the Apostles (P.B.U.T) have interceded and the believers have interceded, and no one remains (to grant pardon) but the MOST MERCIFUL of the mercifuls. He will then take a handful from Fire and bring out from it people who never did any good and who had been turned into charcoal, and will cast them into a river called the river of life, on the outskirts of Paradise. They will come out as a seed comes cut from the silt carried by flood. You see it near the stone or near the tree. That which is exposed to the sun is yellowish or greenish and which is under the shade is white. They said: Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S]! It seems as if you had been tending a flock in the jungle. He (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) said: They will come forth like pearls with seals on their necks. The inhabitants of Paradise would recognize them (and say): Those are who have been set free by the COMPASSIONATE ONE. WHO has admitted them into Paradise without any (good) deed that they did or any good that they sent in advance. Then HE would say: Enter the Paradise; whatever you see in it is yours. They would say: O LORD, THOU hast bestowed upon us (Favors) which THOU didst not bestow upon anyone else in the world. HE would say: There is with ME (a Favor) for you better than this. They would say: O our LORD! Which thing is better than this? HE would say: It is MY pleasure. I will never be angry with you after this.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 83, Book 1: Faith (Kitab Al Iman), Number 0378:
Abu Huraira (R.A) reported:
Meat was one day brought to the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] and a foreleg was offered to him, a part which he liked. He sliced with his teeth a piece out of it and said: I shall be the leader of mankind on the Day of Resurrection. Do you know why? ALLAH [S.W.T] would gather in one plain the earlier and the later (of the human race) on the Day of Resurrection. Then the voice of the proclaimer would be heard by all of them and the eyesight would penetrate through all of them and the sun would come near. People would then experience a degree of anguish, anxiety and agony which they shall not be able to bear and they shall not be able to stand. Some people would say to the others: Don’t you see in which trouble you are? Don’t you see what (misfortune) has overtaken you? Why don’t you find one who should intercede for you with your LORD? Some would say to the others: Go to Adam (P.B.U.H). And they would go to Adam (P.B.U.H) and say: O Adam (P.B.U.H), Thou art the father of mankind. ALLAH [S.W.T] created thee by HIS own Hand and breathed in thee of HIS spirit and ordered the Angels (P.B.U.T) to prostrate before thee. Intercede for us with thy LORD. Don’t you see in what (trouble) we are? Don’t you see what (misfortune) has overtaken us? Adam (P.B.U.H) would say: Verily, my LORD is angry, to an extent to which HE had never been angry before nor would HE be angry afterward. Verily, HE forbade me (to go near) that tree and I disobeyed HIM. I am concerned with my own self. Go to someone else; go to Noah (P.B.U.H). They would come to Noah (P.B.U.H) and would say: O Noah (P.B.U.H), Thou art the first of the Messengers (sent) on the earth (after Adam (P.B.U.H)), and ALLAH [S.W.T] named thee as a "Grateful Servant," intercede for us with thy LORD. Don’t you see in what (trouble) we are? Don’t you see what (misfortune) has overtaken us? He would say: Verily, my LORD is angry today as HE had never been angry before, and would never be angry afterwards. There had emanated a curse from me with which I cursed my people. I am concerned with only myself, I am concerned only with myself; you better go to Ibrahim (P.B.U.H). They would go to Ibrahim (P.B.U.H) and say: Thou art the Apostle of ALLAH [S.W.T] and HIS Friend amongst the inhabitants of the earth; intercede for us with thy LORD. Don’t you see in which (trouble) we are? Don’t you see what (misfortune) has overtaken us? Ibrahim (P.B.U.H) would say to them: Verily, my LORD is today angry as HE had never been angry before and would never be angry afterwards. And (Ibrahim (P.B.U.H)) would mention his lies (and then say): I am concerned only with myself, I am concerned only with myself. You better go to someone else: go to Moses (P.B.U.H). They would come to Moses (P.B.U.H) and say: O Moses (P.B.U.H), Thou art ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger, ALLAH [S.W.T] blessed thee with HIS Messengership and HIS conversation amongst people. Intercede for us with thy LORD. Don’t you see in what (trouble) we are? Don’t you see what (misfortune) has overtaken us? Moses (P.B.U.H) would say to them: Verily, my LORD is angry as HE had never been angry before and would never be angry afterwards. I, in fact, killed a person whom I had not been ordered to kill. I am concerned with myself, I am concerned with myself. You better go to Jesus (P.B.U.H). They would come to Jesus (P.B.U.H) and would say: O Jesus (P.B.U.H), Thou art the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] and thou conversed with people in the cradle, (thou art) HIS Word which HE sent down upon Mary, and (thou art) the Spirit from HIM; so intercede for us with thy LORD. Don’t you see (the trouble) in which we are? Don’t you see (the misfortune) that has overtaken us? Jesus (P.B.U.H) would say: Verily, my LORD is angry today as HE had never been angry before or would ever be angry afterwards. He mentioned no sin of his. (He simply said:) I am concerned with myself, I am concerned with myself; you go to someone else: better go to Muhammad [S.A.W.S]. They would come to me and say: O Muhammad [S.A.W.S], Thou art the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] and the last of the Apostles (P.B.U.T). ALLAH [S.W.T] has pardoned thee all thy previous and later sins. Intercede for us with thy LORD; don’t you see in which (trouble) we are? Don’t you see what (misfortune) has overtaken us? I shall then set off and come below the Throne and fall down prostrate before my LORD; then ALLAH [S.W.T] would reveal to me and inspire me with some of HIS Praises and Glorifications which HE had not revealed to anyone before me. HE would then say: Muhammad [S.A.W.S], raise thy head; ask and it would be granted; intercede and intercession would be accepted I would then raise my head and say: O my LORD, my people, my people. It would be said: O Muhammad [S.A.W.S], bring in by the right gate of Paradise those of your people who would have no account to render. They would share with the people some other door besides this door. The Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S] then said: By HIM in WHOSE Hand is the life of Muhammad [S.A.W.S], verify the distance between two door leaves of the Paradise is as great as between Mecca and Hajar, or as between Mecca and Busra (379) It is reported on the authority of Abu Huraira (R.A) that there was placed before the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] a cup of soft bread, soup and meat. He took part of the foreleg which he liked most. He sliced (with his teeth) a slice (out of that) and said: I would be the leader of mankind on the Day of Resurrection. He then sliced (that meat) for the second time and said: I am the leader of mankind on the Day of Resurrection. When he saw that his companions (R.A) did not ask him (about this assertion) he said: Why don’t you say: How would that be? They said: How would be it, Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S]? He said: People would stand before the LORD of the worlds. And the rest of the Hadith was narrated like the one transmitted by Abu Hayyan (R.A), on the authority of Abu Zur’a (R.A), and in the story of Ibrahim (P.B.U.H), this addition was made. He said and made mention of his words with regard to the star: This is my LORD. And his words with regard to their gods: But the big among them has done that. And his words: I am ailing. He (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) said: By HIM in WHOSE Hand is the life of Muhammad [S.A.W.S] the distance between two leaves of the door from their supporting frames is as the distance between Mecca and Hajar or Hajar and Mecca. I do not remember how he said it (whether Mecca and Hajar or Hajar and Mecca).

Sahih Muslim, Chapter 85, Book 1: Faith (Kitab Al Iman), Number 0397:
'Abdullah b. Amr b. al-'As (R.A) reported:
Verily the Apostle of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] recited the words of ALLAH [S.W.T], the GREAT and GLORIOUS, that Ibrahim (P.B.U.H) uttered. My LORD! Lo! They have led many of mankind astray:" But whoso followeth me, he verily is of me" (al-Qur'an, 14.36) and Jesus (P.B.U.H) said:" If THOU punisheth them, Lo! They are THY slaves, and if THOU forgiveth them-verily THOU art the MIGHTY, the WISE" (al-Qur'an, 5.118). Then he raised his hands and said: O LORD, my Ummah, my Ummah, and wept; so ALLAH [S.W.T] the HIGH and the EXALTED said: O Gabriel (P.B.U.H), go to Muhammad [S.A.W.S] (Though your LORD knows it fully well) and ask him: What makes thee weep? So Gabriel (P.B.U.H) came to him and asked him, and the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] informed him what he had said (Though ALLAH [S.W.T] knew it fully well). Upon this ALLAH [S.W.T] said: O Gabriel (P.B.U.H), go to Muhammad [S.A.W.S] and say: Verily WE will please thee with regard to your Ummah and would not displease thee.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 24, Book 4: Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat), Number 0864:
Jabir b. Samura (R.A) reported:
The Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] came to us and said: How is it that I see you lifting your hands like the tails of headstrong horses? Be calm in prayer. He (the narrator) said: He then again came to us and saw us (sitting) in circles; he said: How is it that I see you in separate groups? He (the narrator) said: He again came to us and said: Why don’t you draw yourselves up in rows as Angels (P.B.U.T) do in the presence of their LORD? We said: Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S], how do the Angels (P.B.U.T) draw themselves up in rows in the presence of their LORD? He (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) said: They make the first rows complete and keep close together in the row.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 61, Book 4: Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat), Number 1145:
Jabir (R.A) reported:
The Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] forbade eating of onions and leek. When we were overpowered by a desire (to eat) we ate them. Upon this he (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) said: He who eats of this offensive plant must not approach our Mosque, for the Angels (P.B.U.T) are harmed by the same things as men.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 113, Book 4: Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat), Number 1651:
Jabir (R.A) reported:
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] as saying: He who amongst you is afraid that he may not be able to get up at the end of the night should observe Witr (in the first part) and then sleep, and he who is confident of getting up and praying at night (i.e. Tahajjud prayer) should observe it at the end of it, for the recitation at the end of the night to visited (by Angels (P.B.U.T)), and that is excellent.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 117, Book 4: Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat), Number 1694:
‘Abd al-Rahman b. ‘Auf (R.A) reported:
I asked ‘Aisha (R.A), the mother of the believers, (to tell me) the words with which the Apostle of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] commenced the prayer when he got up at night. She said: When he got up at night he would commence his prayer with these words: O ALLAH, LORD of Gabriel, and Michael, and Israfil (P.B.U.T), the CREATOR of the heavens and the earth, WHO knowest the unseen and the seen; THOU decidest amongst THY servants concerning their differences. Guide me with THY permission in the divergent views (which the people) hold about Truth, for it is THOU WHO guidest whom THOU wilt to the Straight Path.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 128, Book 4: Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat), Number 1745:
‘Aisha (R.A) reported:
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] (as saying): One who is proficient in the Qur’an is associated with the noble, upright, recording Angels (P.B.U.T); and he who falters in it, and finds it difficult for him, will have a double reward.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 133, Book 4: Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat), Number 1760:
Ibn ‘Abbas (R.A) reported:
That while Gabriel (P.B.U.H) was sitting with the Apostle [S.A.W.S] he heard a creaking sound above him. He lifted his head and said: This as a gate opened in heaven today which had never been opened before. Then when an Angel (P.B.U.H) descended through it, he said: This is an Angel (P.B.U.H) who came down to the earth who had never come down before. He greeted and said: Rejoice in two lights given to you which have not been given to any Prophet (P.B.U.T) before you: Falihat al-Kitab (1.1-7) and the concluding verses of Suarah al-Baqara (2.286). You will never recite a letter from them for which you will not be given (a reward).

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 145, Book 4: Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat), Number 1827:
Jabir (R.A) reported:
We fought in the company of the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] with the tribe of Juhaina. They fought with us terribly. When we had finished the noon prayer, the polytheists said: Had we attacked them at once, we would have killed them. Gabriel (P.B.U.H) informed the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] about it (about their evil design). The Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] made a mention of it to us, adding that they (the polytheists) had also said: Shortly there would be time for the ‘Asr prayer, which is dearer o them (the Muslims) than even their children. So when the time of the ‘Asr prayer came, we formed ourselves into two rows, while the polytheists were between us and the Qibla. The Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] said: ALLAH is MOST GREAT, and we also said so. He bowed and we also bowed. He went down in prostration and the first row prostrated along with him. When they stood up, the second row went down in prostration. Then the first row went into the rear, and the second row came in the front and occupied the place of the first row. The Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] then said: ALLAH is MOST GREAT, and we also said so. He then bowed and we also bowed. He then went down in prostration and along with him the row also (went down in prostration), and the second row remained standing. And when the second row had also prostrated and all of them sat down then the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] pronounced salutation to them.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 175, Book 4: Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat), Number 2002:
Umm Salama (R.A) reported:
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] as saying: Whenever you visit the sick or the dead, supplicate for good because Angels (P.B.U.T) say "Amen" to whatever you say. She added: When Abu Salama (R.A) died, I went to the Apostle of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] and said: Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S], Abu Salama (R.A) has died. He told me to recite: "O ALLAH! forgive me and him (Abu Salama (R.A)) and give me a better substitute than he." So I said (this), and ALLAH [S.W.T] gave me in exchange Muhammad [S.A.W.S], who is better for me than him (Abu Salama (R.A)).

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 176, Book 4: Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat), Number 2003:
Umm Salama (R.A) reported:
The Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] came to Abu Salama (R.A) (as he died). His eyes were fixedly open. He closed them, and then said: When the soul is taken away the sight follows it. Some of the people of his family wept and wailed. So he said: Do not supplicate for yourselves anything but good, for Angels (P.B.U.T) say "Amen" to what you say. He then said: O ALLAH, forgive Abu Salama (R.A), raise his degree among those who are rightly guided, grant him a successor in his descendants who remain. Forgive us and him, O LORD of the universe, and make his grave spacious, and grant him light in it.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 17, Book 5: Zakat (Kitab Al-Zakat), Number 2205:
Abu Huraira (R.A) reported:
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] as saying: There is never a day wherein servants (of ALLAH [S.W.T]) get up at morning, but are not visited by two Angels (P.B.U.T). One of them says: O ALLAH, give him more who spends (for the Sake of ALLAH), and the other says: ALLAH, bring destruction to one who withholds.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 23, Book 5: Zakat (Kitab Al-Zakat), Number 2230:
Abu Huraira (R.A) reported:
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] as saying: A man expressed his intention to give charity, so he came out with charity and placed it in the hand of an adulteress. In the morning, the people were talking and saying: charity was given to an adulteress last night. He (the giver of Sadaqa) said: O ALLAH, to THEE be the Praise -to an adulteress. He then again expressed his intention to give charity; so he went out with the charity and placed it in the hand of a rich person. In the morning the people were talking and saying: Charity was given to a rich person. He (the giver of charity) said: O ALLAH, to THEE be the Praise -to a well-to-do person. He then expressed his intention to give charity, so he went out with charity and placed it in the hand of a thief. In the morning, the people were talking and saying: Charity was given to a thief. So (one of the persons) said: O ALLAH, to THEE be the Praise (what a misfortune it is that charity has been given to) the adulteress, to a rich person, to a thief! There came (the Angel (P.B.U.H) to him) and he was told: Your charity has been accepted. As for the adulteress (the charity might become the means) whereby she might restrain herself from fornication. The rich man might perhaps learn a lesson and spend from what ALLAH [S.W.T] has given him, and the thief might thereby refrain from committing theft.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 77, Book 7: Pilgrimage (Kitab Al-Hajj), Number 3126:
‘Aisha (R.A) reported:
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] as saying: There is no day when ALLAH [S.W.T] sets free more servants from Hell than the Day of ‘Arafa. HE draws near, then praises them to the Angels (P.B.U.T), saying: What do these want?

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 38, Book 19: Jihad And Expedition (Kitab Al-Jihad Wal-Siyar), Number 4425:
It has been narrated on the authority of ‘Aisha (R.A), the wife of the Prophet [S.A.W.S]:
Who said to the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S]: Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S], has there come upon you a day more terrible than the day of Uhud. He said: I have experienced from thy people and the hardest treatment I met from them was what I received from them on the day of ‘Aqaba. I betook myself to Ibn Abd Yalil b. Abd Kulal with the purpose of inviting him to Islam, but he did not respond to me as I desired. So I departed with signs of (deep) distress on my face. I did not recover until I reached Qarn al Tha’alib. Where I raised my head, lo! Near me was a cloud which had cast its shadow on me. I looked and lo! There was in it the Angel Jibril (P.B.U.H) who called out to me and said: ALLAH [S.W.T], the HONOURED and GLORIOUS, has heard what thy people have said to thee, and how they have reacted to thy call. And HE has sent to thee the Angel (P.B.U.H) in charge of the mountains so that thou mayest order him what thou wishest (him to do) with, regard to them. The Angel (P.B.U.H) in charge of the mountains (then) called out to me, greeted me and said: Muhammad [S.A.W.S], ALLAH [S.W.T] has listened to what thy people have said to thee. I am the Angel (P.B.U.H) in charge of the mountains. And thy LORD has sent me to thee so that thou mayest order me what thou wishest. If thou wishest that I should bring together the two mountains that stand opposite to each other at the extremities of Mecca to crush them in between, (I would do that). But the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] said to him: I rather hope that ALLAH [S.W.T] will produce from their descendants such persons as will Worship ALLAH [S.W.T], the ONE, and will not ascribe partners to HIM.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 32, Book 20: On Government (Kitab Al-Imara), Number 4646:
It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Qatada (R.A):
That the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] stood up among them (his companions (R.A)) to deliver his sermon in which he told them that Jihad in the way of ALLAH [S.W.T] and belief in ALLAH [S.W.T] (with all HIS Attributes) are the most meritorious of acts. A man stood up and said: Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S], do you think that if I am killed in the way of ALLAH [S.W.T], my sins will be blotted out from me? The Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] said: Yes, in case you are killed in the way of ALLAH [S.W.T] and you were patient and sincere and you always fought facing the enemy, never turning your back upon him. Then he added: What have you said (now)? (Wishing to have further assurance from him for his satisfaction), he asked (again): Do you think if I am killed in the way of ALLAH [S.W.T], all my sins will be obliterated from me? The Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] said: Yes, it you were patient and sincere and always fought facing the enemy and never turning your back upon him, (all your lapses would be forgiven) except debt. Gabriel (P.B.U.H) has told me this.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 29, Book 23: Drinks (Kitab Al-Ashriba), Number 5099:
Aflah, the freed slave of Abu Ayyub Ansiri (R.A), reported:
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] had alighted in his house (viz. of Abu Ayyub Ansari (R.A) at the time of his emigration to Medina) and he occupied the lower storey, whereas Abu Ayyub Ansari (R.A) lived in the upper storey. One night, Abu Ayyub Ansari (R.A) got up and said (to himself): (How unfortunate it is) that we walk above the head of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], so they went aside and spent the night in a nook and then told ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] about it whereupon ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said: The lower storey is more comfortable (for me). But he (Abu Ayyub Ansari (R.A)) said: We (would not live) over the roof under which you live. So ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] shifted to the upper storey, whereas Abu Ayyub Ansari (R.A) shifted to the lower storey; and he (Abu Ayyub Ansari (R.A)) used to prepare food for ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S]; and when it was brought (back) to him he asked (to locate) the part, where his fingers had touched (the food), and he followed his fingers on that part where his fingers (those of the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) had touched it. (One day) he prepared food which contained garlic, and when it was returned to him he asked (to locate) the part which the fingers of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] had touched. It was said to him that he had not eaten (the food). He (Abd Ayyub Ansari (R.A)) was distressed and went up to him (to the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) and said: Is it forbidden? But ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: No, (it is not forbidden), but I do not like it. And he (Abu Ayyub Ansari (R.A)) said: I also do not like what you do not like or which you did not like. He (Abu Ayyub Ansari (R.A)) said: (The Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S] did not eat garlic) as ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] was visited (by Angels (P.B.U.T)) and brought him the Message of ALLAH [S.W.T].

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 19, Book 24: Pertaining To Clothes And Decoration (Kitab Al-Libas Wa’L-Zinah), Number 5246:
‘Aisha (R.A) reported:
That Gabriel (P.B.U.H) made a promise with ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] to come at a definite hour; that hour came but he did not visit him. And there was in his hand (in the hand of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S]) a staff. He threw it from his hand and said: Never has ALLAH [S.W.T] or HIS Messengers (Angels) (P.B.U.T) ever broken their promise. Then he cast a glance (and by chance) found a puppy under his cot and said: ‘Aisha (R.A), when did this dog enter here? She said: By ALLAH [S.W.T], I don’t know. He then commanded and it was turned out. Then Gabriel (P.B.U.H) came and ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said to him: You promised me and I waited for you but you did not come, whereupon he said: It was the dog in your house which prevented me (to come), for we (Angels) (P.B.U.T) do not enter a house in which there is a dog or a picture.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 20, Book 24: Pertaining To Clothes And Decoration (Kitab Al-Libas Wa’L-Zinah), Number 5277:
Abu Huraira (R.A) reported:
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] as saying: Angels (P.B.U.T) do not accompany the travelers who have with them a dog and a bell.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 20, Book 24: Pertaining To Clothes And Decoration (Kitab Al-Libas Wa’L-Zinah), Number 5279:
Abu Huraira (R.A) reported:
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] as saying: The bell is the musical instrument of the satan.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 33, Book 26: On Salutations And Greetings (Kitab As-Salam), Number 5538:
‘Abdullah Ibn ‘Abbas (R.A) reported:
A person from the Ansar who was amongst the Companions (R.A) of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] reported to me: As we were sitting during the night with ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], a meteor shot gave a dazzling light. ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: What did you say in the pre-Islamic days when there was such a shot (of meteor)? They said: ALLAH [S.W.T] and HIS Messenger [S.A.W.S] know best (the actual position), but we, however, used to say that that very night a great man had been born and a great man had died, whereupon ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: (These meteors) are shot neither at the death of anyone nor on the birth of anyone. ALLAH [S.W.T], the EXALTED and GLORIOUS, issues Command when HE decides to do a thing. Then (the Angels (P.B.U.T)) supporting the Throne sing HIS Glory, then sing the dwellers of heaven who are near to them until this Glory of ALLAH [S.W.T] reaches them who are in the heaven of this world. Then those who are near the supporters of the Throne ask these supporters of the Throne: What your LORD has said? And they accordingly inform them what HE says. Then the dwellers of heaven seek information from them until this information reaches the heaven of the world. In this process of transmission (the jinn snatches) what he manages to overhear and he carries it to his friends. And when the Angels (P.B.U.T) see the jinn they attack them with meteors. If they narrate only which they manage to snatch that is correct but they alloy it with lies and make additions to it.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 10, Book 30: Pertaining To The Excellent Qualities Of The Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S] And His Companions (R.A) (Kitab Al Fada’Il), Number 5713:
Sa’d (R.A) reported:
That on the Day of Uhud I saw on the right side of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] and on his left side two persons dressed in white clothes and whom I did not see before nor after that, and they were Gabriel and Michael (P.B.U.T).

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 10, Book 30: Pertaining To The Excellent Qualities Of The Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S] And His Companions (R.A) (Kitab Al Fada’Il), Number 5714:
Sa’d b. Abu Waqqas (R.A) reported:
I saw on the right side of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] and on his left side two persons with white clothes on the Day of Uhud fighting a desperate fight, and I saw them neither before nor after that.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 3, Book 31: Pertaining To The Merits Of The Companions (R.A) Of The Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S], Number 5906:
‘Aisha (R.A) reported:
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] was lying in the bed in my apartment with his thigh or his shank uncovered that Abu Bakr (R.A) sought permission to get in. It was given to him and he conversed in the same very state (the Prophet [S.A.W.S]’s thigh or shank uncovered). Then ‘Umar (R.A) sought permission for getting in and it was given to him and he conversed in that very state. Then ‘Uthman (R.A) sought permission for getting in; ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] sat down and he set right his clothes. Muhammad (R.A) (one of the narrators) said: I do not say that it happened on the same day. He (‘Uthman (R.A)) then entered and conversed and as he went out, ‘Aisha (R.A) said: Abu Bakr (R.A) entered and you did not stir and did not observe much care (in arranging your clothes), then ‘Umar (R.A) entered and you did not stir and did not arrange your clothes, then ‘Uthman (R.A) entered and you got up and set your clothes right, thereupon he said: Should I not show modesty to one whom even the Angels (P.B.U.T) show modesty.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 4, Book 31: Pertaining To The Merits Of The Companions (R.A) Of The Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S], Number 5920:
Yazid b. Hayyan (R.A) reported:
I went along with Husain b. Sabra and ‘Umar b. Muslim to Zaid b. Arqam (R.A) and, as we sat by his side, Husain (R.A) said to him: Zaid (R.A), you have been able to acquire a great virtue that you saw ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] listened to his talk, fought by his side in (different) battles, offered prayer behind me. Zaid (R.A), you have in fact earned a great virtue. Zaid (R.A), narrate to us what you heard from ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S]. He said: I have grown old and have almost spent my age and I have forgotten some of the things which I remembered in connection with ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], so accept whatever I narrate to you, and which I do not narrate do not compel me to do that. He then said: One day ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] stood up to deliver sermon at a watering place known as Khumm situated between Mecca and Medina. He Praised ALLAH [S.W.T], Extolled HIM and delivered the sermon and exhorted (us) and said: Now to our purpose. O people, I am a human being. I am about to receive a Messenger (the Angel of death (P.B.U.H)) from my LORD and I, in response to ALLAH [S.W.T]’s call, (would bid good-bye to you), but I am leaving among you two weighty things: the one being the Book of ALLAH [S.W.T] in which there is right guidance and light, so hold fast to the Book of ALLAH [S.W.T] and adhere to it. He exhorted (us) (to hold fast) to the Book of ALLAH [S.W.T] and then said: The second are the members of my household I remind you (of your duties) to the members of my family. He (Husain (R.A)) said to Zaid (R.A): Who are the members of his household? Aren’t his wives the members of his family? Thereupon he said: His wives are the members of his family (but here) the members of his family are those for whom acceptance of Zakat is forbidden. And he said: Who are they? Thereupon he said: ‘Ali (R.A) and the offspring of ‘Ali (R.A), ‘Aqil (R.A) and the offspring of ‘Aqil (R.A) and the offspring of Ja’far (R.A) and the offspring of ‘Abbas (R.A). Husain (R.A) said: These are those for whom the acceptance of Zakat is forbidden. Zaid (R.A) said: Yes.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 4, Book 32: Virtue, Good Manners And Joining Of The Ties Of Relationship (Kitab Al-Birr Wa’S-Salat-I-Wa’L-Adab), Number 6204:
Abu Huraira (R.A) reported:
That a person said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], I have relatives with whom I try, to have close relationship, but they sever (this relation). I treat them well, but they treat me ill. I am sweet to them but they are harsh towards me. Upon this he (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) said: If it is so as you say, then you in fact throw hot ashes (upon their faces) and there would always remain with you on behalf of ALLAH [S.W.T] (an Angel (P.B.U.H) to support you) who would keep you dominant over them so long as you adhere to this (path of righteousness).

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 10, Book 32: Virtue, Good Manners And Joining Of The Ties Of Relationship (Kitab Al-Birr Wa’S-Salat-I-Wa’L-Adab), Number 6226:
Abu Huraira (R.A) reported:
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] as saying: A person visited his brother in another town and ALLAH [S.W.T] deputed an Angel (P.B.U.H) to wait for him on his way and when he came to him he said: Where do you intend to go? He said: I intend to go to my brother in this town. He said: Have you done any favor to him (the repayment of which you intend to get)? He said: No, excepting this that I love him for the Sake of ALLAH [S.W.T], the EXALTED and GLORIOUS. Thereupon he said: I am a Messenger (P.B.U.H) to you from ALLAH [S.W.T]: (to inform you) that ALLAH [S.W.T] loves you as you love him (for HIS Sake) This Hadith has been narrated on the authority of Hammid b. Salama (R.A) with the same of transmitters.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 46, Book 32: Virtue, Good Manners And Joining Of The Ties Of Relationship (Kitab Al-Birr Wa’S-Salat-I-Wa’L-Adab), Number 6373:
Abu Huraira (R.A) reported:
That ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: When ALLAH [S.W.T] loves a servant, HE calls Gabriel (P.B.U.H) and says: Verily, I love so and so; you should also love him, and then Gabriel (P.B.U.H) begins to love him. Then he makes an announcement in the heaven saying: ALLAH [S.W.T] loves so and so and you also love him, and then the inhabitants of the Heaven (the Angels (P.B.U.T)) also begin to love him and then there is conferred honor upon him in the earth; and when ALLAH [S.W.T] is angry with any servant HE calls Gabriel (P.B.U.H) and says: I am angry with such and such and you also become angry with him, and then Gabriel (P.B.U.H) also becomes angry and then makes an announcement amongst the inhabitants of heaven: Verily ALLAH [S.W.T] is angry with so-and so, so you also become angry with him, and thus they also become angry with him. Then he becomes the object of wrath on the earth also.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 10, Book 33: Virtue, Good Manners And Joining Of The Ties Of Relationship (Kitab Al-Birr Wa’S-Salat-I-Wa’L-Adab), Number 6336:
Abu Huraira (R.A) reported:
Abu’l-Qasim (the kunya of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S]), said: He who pointed a weapon towards his brother the Angels (P.B.U.T) invoke curse upon him even if he is his real brother so long as he does not abandon it (the pointing of weapon towards one’s brother Muslim).

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 11, Book 35: Pertaining To The Remembrance Of ALLAH [S.W.T] (Kitab Al-Dhikr), Number 6518:
Abu Huraira (R.A) reported:
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] as saying: He who alleviates the suffering of a brother out of the sufferings of the world, ALLAH [S.W.T] would alleviate his suffering from the sufferings of the Day of Resurrection, and he who finds relief for one who is hard pressed, ALLAH [S.W.T] would make things easy for him in the Hereafter, and he who conceals (the faults) of a Muslim, ALLAH [S.W.T] would conceal his faults in the world and in the Hereafter. ALLAH [S.W.T] is at the back of a servant so long as the servant is at the back of his brother, and he who treads the path in search of knowledge, ALLAH [S.W.T] would make that path easy, leading to Paradise for him and those persons who assemble in the house among the houses of ALLAH [S.W.T] (Mosques) and recite the Book of ALLAH [S.W.T] and they learn and teach the Qur'an (among themselves) there would descend upon them the Tranquility and Mercy would cover them and the Angels (P.B.U.T) would surround them and ALLAH [S.W.T] makes a mention of them in the presence of those near HIM, and he who is slow-paced in doing good deeds, his (high) descent does not make him go ahead.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 11, Book 35: Pertaining To The Remembrance Of ALLAH [S.W.T] (Kitab Al-Dhikr), Number 6521:
Abu Sa’id Khudri (R.A) reported:
That Mu’awiya (R.A) went to a circle in the Mosque and said: What makes you sit here? They said: We are sitting here in order to remember ALLAH [S.W.T]. He said: I adjure you by ALLAH [S.W.T] (to tell me whether you are sitting here for this very purpose)? They said: By ALLAH [S.W.T], we are sitting here for this very purpose. Thereupon, he said: I have not demanded you to take an oath, because of any allegation against you and none of my rank in the eye of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] is the narrator of so few Ahadith as I am. The fact is that ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] went out to the circle of his companions (R.A) and said: What makes you sit? They said: We are sitting here in order to remember ALLAH [S.W.T] and to praise HIM for HE guided us to the path of Islam and HE conferred Favors upon us. Thereupon he adjured by ALLAH [S.W.T] and asked if that only was the purpose of their sitting there. They said: By ALLAH [S.W.T], we are not sitting here but for this very purpose, whereupon he (the Messenger [S.A.W.S]) said: I am not asking you to take an oath because of any allegation against you but for the fact that Gabriel (P.B.U.H) came to me and he informed me that ALLAH [S.W.T], the EXALTED and GLORIOUS, was talking to the Angels (P.B.U.T) about your magnificence.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 21, Book 35: Pertaining To The Remembrance Of ALLAH [S.W.T] (Kitab Al-Dhikr), Number 6586:
Abu Dharr (R.A) reported:
That ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] was asked as to which words were the best. He said: Those for which ALLAH [S.W.T] made a choice for HIS Angels (P.B.U.T) and HIS servants (and the words are): "Hallowed be ALLAH and Praise is due to HIM."

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 22, Book 35: Pertaining To The Remembrance Of ALLAH [S.W.T] (Kitab Al-Dhikr), Number 6588:
Abu Dharr (R.A) reported:
That ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: There is no believing servant who supplicates for his brother behind his back (in his absence) that the Angels (P.B.U.T) do not say: The same be for you too.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 3, Book 37: Pertaining To Repentance And Exhortation Of Repentance (Kitab Al-Tauba), Number 6623:
Hanzala Usayyidi (R.A), who was amongst the scribes of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] reported:
I met Abu Bakr (R.A). He said: Who are you? He (Hanzala (R.A)) said: Hanzala (R.A) has turned to be a hypocrite. He (Abu Bakr (R.A)) said: Hallowed be ALLAH, what are you saying? Thereupon he said: I say that when we are in the company of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] we ponder over Hell-Fire and Paradise as if we are seeing them with our very eyes and when we are away from ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] we attend to our wives, our children, our business; most of these things (pertaining to After-life) slip out of our minds. Abu Bakr (R.A) said: By ALLAH [S.W.T], I also experience the same. So I and Abu Bakr (R.A) went to ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] and said to him: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], Hanzala (R.A) has turned to be a hypocrite. Thereupon ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: What has happened to you? I said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], when we are in your company, we are reminded of Hell-Fire and Paradise as if we are seeing them with our own eyes, but whenever we go away from you and attend to our wives, children and business, much of these things go out of our minds. Thereupon ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: By HIM in WHOSE Hand is my life, if your state of mind remains the same as it is in my presence and you are always busy in remembrance (of ALLAH [S.W.T]), the Angels (P.B.U.T) will shake hands with you in your beds and in your paths but, Hanzala (R.A), time should be devoted (to the worldly affairs) and time (should be devoted to prayer and meditation). He (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) said this thrice.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 7, Book 37: Pertaining To Repentance And Exhortation Of Repentance (Kitab Al-Tauba), Number 6662:
Abu Sa’id al-Khudri (R.A) reported:
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] as saying: There was a person before you who had killed ninety-nine persons and then made an inquiry about the learned persons of the world (who could show him the way to salvation). He was directed to a monk. He came to him and told him that he had killed ninety-nine persons and asked him whether there was any scope for his repentance to be accepted. He said: No. He killed him also and thus completed one hundred. He then asked about the learned persons of the earth and he was directed to a scholar, and he told him that he had killed one hundred persons and asked him whether there was any scope for his repentance to be accepted. He said: Yes; what stands between you and the repentance? You better go to such and such land; there are people devoted to prayer and worship and you also worship along with them and do not come to the land of yours since it was an evil land (for you). So he went away and he had hardly covered half the distance when death came to him and there was a dispute between the Angels of mercy and the Angels of punishment (P.B.U.T). The Angels (P.B.U.T) of mercy said: This man has come as a penitent and remorseful to ALLAH [S.W.T] and the Angels (P.B.U.T) of punishment said: He has done no good at all. Then there came another Angel (P.B.U.H) in the form of a human being in order to decide between them. He said: You measure the land to which he has drawn near. They measured it and found him nearer to the land where he intended to go (the land of piety), and so the Angels (P.B.U.T) of mercy took possession of it. Qatada (R.A) said that Hasan (R.A) told him that it was said to them that as death approached him, he crawled upon his chest (and managed) to slip in the land of mercy.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 7, Book 37: Pertaining To Repentance And Exhortation Of Repentance (Kitab Al-Tauba), Number 6664:
This Hadith has been narrated on the authority of Qatada (R.A) with the same chain of transmitters but (with this variation of wording):
"ALLAH [S.W.T] commanded the earth (from where) he wanted to come out to move itself away and to the other earth (where he wanted to go) to draw nearer."

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 12, Book 40: Pertaining To Paradise, Its Description, Its Bounties And Its Intimates (Kitab Al-Jannat Wa Sifat Na’Imiha Wa Ahliha), Number 6810:
Abu Huraira (R.A) reported:
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] as saying: The Hell would he brought on that day (the Day of Judgment) with seventy bridles and every bridle would be controlled by seventy Angels (P.B.U.T).

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 17, Book 40: Pertaining To Paradise, Its Description, Its Bounties And Its Intimates (Kitab Al-Jannat Wa Sifat Na'Imiha Wa Ahliha), Number 6862:
Anas b. Malik (R.A) reported:
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] having said: When the servant is placed in his grave and his companions retrace their steps arid he hears the noise of the footsteps, then two Angels (P.B.U.T) come to him and make him sit and say to him: What you have to say about this person (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S])? If he is a believer, he would say: I bear testimony to the fact that he is a servant of ALLAH [S.W.T] and HIS Messenger. Then it would be said to him: Look to your seat in the Hell-Fire, for ALLAH [S.W.T] has substituted (the seat of yours) with a seat in Paradise. ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: He would be shown both the seats. Qatada (R.A) said: It was mentioned to us that his grave (the grave of a believer) expands to seventy cubits and is full with verdure until the Day when they would be resurrected.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 17, Book 40: Pertaining To Paradise, Its Description, Its Bounties And Its Intimates (Kitab Al-Jannat Wa Sifat Na'Imiha Wa Ahliha), Number 6867:
Abu Huraira (R.A) reported:
When the soul of a believer would go out (of his body) it would be received by two Angels (P.B.U.T) who would take it to the sky. Hammad (R.A) (one of the narrators in the chain of transmitters) mentioned the sweetness of its odor, (and further said) that the dwellers of the sky say: Here comes the pious soul from the side of the earth. Let there be Blessings of ALLAH upon the body in which it resides. And it is carried (by the Angels (P.B.U.T)) to its LORD, the EXALTED and GLORIOUS. HE would say: Take it to its destined end. And if he is a nonbeliever and as it (the soul) leaves the body-Hammad (R.A) made a mention of its foul smell and of its being cursed-the dwellers of the sky say: There comes a dirty soul from the side of the earth, and it would be said: Take it to its destined end. Abu Huraira (R.A) reported that ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] put a thin cloth which was with him upon his nose while making a mention (of the foul smell) of the soul of a non-believer.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 18, Book 41: Pertaining To Turmoil And Portents Of The Last Hour (Kitab Al-Fitan Wa Ashrat As-Sa'Ah), Number 7015:
An-Nawwas b. Sam'an (R.A) reported:
That ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] made a mention of the dajjal one day in the morning. He sometimes described him to be insignificant and sometimes described (his turmoil) as very significant and we felt) as if he were in the cluster of the date-palm trees. When we went to him (to the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) in the evening and he read (the signs of fear) in our faces, he said: What is the matter with you? We said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], you made a mention of the dajjal in the morning (sometimes describing him) to be insignificant and sometimes very important, until we began to think as if he were present in some (near) part of the cluster of the date-palm trees. Thereupon he said: I harbor fear in regard to you in so many other things besides the dajjal. If he comes forth while I am among on, I shall contend with him on your behalf, but if he comes forth while I am not amongst you, a man must contend on his own behalf and ALLAH [S.W.T] would take care of every Muslim on my behalf (and safeguard him against his evil). He (dajjal) would be a young man with twisted, contracted hair, and a blind eye. I compare him to 'Abd-ul-'Uzza b. Qatan. He who amongst you would survive to see him should recite over him the opening verses of Sura Kahf (18.). He would appear on the way between Syria and Iraq and would spread mischief right and left. O servants of ALLAH [S.W.T]! Adhere (to the path of Truth). We said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], how long would he stay on the earth? He said: For forty days, one day like a year and one day like a month and one day like a week and the rest of the days would be like your days. We said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], would one day's prayer suffice for the prayers of day equal to one year? Thereupon he said: No, but you must make an estimate of time (and then observe prayer). We said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], how quickly would he walk upon the earth? Thereupon he said: Like cloud driven by the wind. He would come to the people and invite them (to a wrong religion) and they would affirm their faith in him and respond to him. He would then give command to the sky and there would be rainfall upon the earth and it would grow crops. Then in the evening, their posturing animals would come to them with their humps very high and their udders full of milk and their flanks stretched. He would then come to another people and invite them. But they would reject him and he would go away from them and there would be drought for them and nothing would be left with them in the form of wealth. He would then walk through the waste, land and say to it: Bring forth your treasures, and the treasures would come out and collect (themselves) before him like the swarm of bees. He would then call a person brimming with youth and strike him with the sword and cut him into two pieces and (make these pieces lie at a distance which is generally) between the archer and his target. He would then call (that young man) and he will come forward laughing with his face gleaming (with happiness) and it would at this very time that ALLAH [S.W.T] would send Jesus Christ, son of Mary (P.B.U.T), and he will descend at the white minaret in the eastern side of Damascus wearing two garments lightly dyed with saffron and placing his hands on the wings of two Angels (P.B.U.T). When he would lower his head, there would fall beads of perspiration from his head, and when he would raise it up, beads like pearls would scatter from it. Every non-believer who would smell the odor of his self would die and his breath would reach as far as he would be able to see. He would then search for him (dajjal) until he would catch hold of him at the gate of Ludd and would kill him. Then a people whom ALLAH [S.W.T] had protected would come to Jesus, son of Mary (P.B.U.T), and he would wipe their faces and would inform them of their ranks in Paradise and it would be under such conditions that ALLAH [S.W.T] would reveal to Jesus (P.B.U.H) these words: I have brought forth from amongst MY servants such people against whom none would be able to fight; you take these people safely to Tur, and then ALLAH [S.W.T] would send yajuj/gog and Majuj/magog and they would swarm down from every slope. The first of them would pass the lake of Tiberius and drink out of it. And when the last of them would pass, he would say: There was once water there. Jesus (P.B.U.H) and his companions (R.A) would then be besieged here (at Tur, and they would be so much hard pressed) that the head of the ox would be dearer to them than one hundred diners and ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle, Jesus (P.B.U.H), and his companions (R.A) would supplicate ALLAH [S.W.T], WHO would send to them insects (which would attack their necks) and in the morning they would perish like one single person. ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle, Jesus (P.B.U.H), and his companions (R.A) would then come down to the earth and they would not find in the earth as much space as a single span which is not filled with their putrefaction and stench. ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle, Jesus (P.B.U.H), and his companions (R.A) would then again beseech ALLAH [S.W.T], WHO would send birds whose necks would be like those of Bactrian camels and they would carry them and throw them where ALLAH [S.W.T] would Will. Then ALLAH [S.W.T] would send rain which no house of clay or (the tent of) camels' hairs would keep out and it would wash away the earth until it could appear to be a mirror. Then the earth would be told to bring forth its fruit and restore its blessing and, as a result thereof, there would grow (such a big) pomegranate that a group of persons would be able to eat that, and seek shelter under its skin and milch cow would give so much milk that a whole party would be able to drink it. And the milch camel would give such (a large quantity of) milk that the whole tribe would be able to drink out of that and the milch sheep would give so much milk that the whole family would be able to drink out of that and at that time ALLAH [S.W.T] would send a pleasant wind which would soothe (people) even under their armpits, and would take the life of every Muslim and only the wicked would survive who would commit adultery like asses and the Last Hour would come to them.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 21, Book 41: Pertaining To Turmoil And Portents Of The Last Hour (Kitab Al-Fitan Wa Ashrat As-Sa'Ah), Number 7028:
Amir b. Sharahil Sha'bi Sha'b Hamdan (R.A) reported:
That he asked Fatima (R.A), daughter of Qais and sister of ad-Dahhak b. Qais and she was the first amongst the emigrant women: Narrate to me a hadith which you had heard directly from ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] and there is no extra link in between them. She said: Very well, if you like, I am prepared to do that, and he said to her: Well, do it and narrate that to me. She said: I married the son of Mughira (R.A) and he was a chosen young man of Quraish at that time, but he fell as a Martyr in the first Jihad (fighting) on the side of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S]. When I became a widow, 'Abd al-Rahman b. Auf (R.A), one amongst the group of the Companions (R.A) of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], sent me the proposal of marriage. ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] also sent me such a message for his freed slave Usama b. Zaid (R.A). And it had been conveyed to me that ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] had said (about Usama (R.A)): He who loves me should also love Usama (R.A). When ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] talked to me (about this matter), I said: My affairs are in your hand. You may marry me to anyone whom you like. He said: You better shift now to the house of Umm Sharik (R.A), and Umm Sharik (R.A) was a rich lady from amongst the Anqir. She spent generously for the Cause of ALLAH [S.W.T] and entertained guests very hospitably. I said: Well, I will do as you like. He said: Do not do that for Umm Sharik (R.A) is a woman who is very frequently visited by guests and I do not like that your head may be uncovered or the cloth may be removed from your shank and the strangers may catch sight of them which you abhor. You better shift to the house of your cousin 'Abdullah b. 'Amr b. Umm Maktum (R.A) and he is a person of the Bani Fihr branch of the Quraish, and he belonged to that tribe (to which Fatima (R.A)) belonged. So I shifted to that house, and when my period of waiting was over, I heard the voice of an announcer making an announcement that the prayer would be observed in the Mosque (where) congregational prayer (is observed). So I set out towards that Mosque and observed prayer along with ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] and I was in the row of the women which was near the row of men. When ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] had finished his prayer, he sat on the pulpit smiling and said: Every worshiper should keep sitting at his place. He then said: Do you know why I had asked you to assemble? They said: ALLAH [S.W.T] and HIS Messenger [S.A.W.S] know best. He said: By ALLAH [S.W.T]. I have not made you assemble for exhortation or for a warning, but I have detained you here, for Tamim Dari (R.A), a Christian, who came and accepted Islam, told me something, which agrees with what I was-telling, you about the dajjal. He narrated to me that he had sailed in a ship along with thirty men of Bani Lakhm and Bani Judham and had been tossed by waves in the ocean for a month. Then these (waves) took them (near) the land within the ocean (island) at the time of sunset. They sat in a small side-boat and entered that Island. There was a beast with long thick hair (and because of these) they could not distinguish his face from his back. They said: Woe to you, who can you be? Thereupon it said: I am al-Jassasa. They said: What is al-Jassasa? And it said: O people, go to this person in the monastery as he is very much eager to know about you. He (the narrator) said: When it named a person for us we were afraid of it lest it should be a devil. Then we hurriedly went on till we came to that monastery and found a well-built person there with his hands tied to his neck and having iron shackles between his two legs up to the ankles. We said: Woe be upon thee, who are you? And he said: You would soon come to know about me but tell me who are you? We said: We are people from Arabia and we embarked upon a boat but the sea-waves had been driving us for one month and they brought as near this island. We got into the side-boats and entered this island and here a beast met us with profusely thick hair and because of the thickness of his hair his face could not be distinguished from his back. We said: Woe be to thee, who are you? It said: I am al- Jassasa. We said: What is al-Jassasa? And it said: You go to this very person in the monastery for he is eagerly waiting for you to know about you. So we came to you in hot haste fearing that might be the devil. He (that chained person) said: Tell me about the date-palm trees of Baisan. We said: About what aspect of theirs do you seek information? He said: I ask you whether these trees bear fruit or not. We said: Yes. Thereupon he said: I think these would not bear fruits. He said: Inform me about the lake of Tabariyya? We said: Which aspect of it do you want to know? He said: Is there water in it? They said: There is abundance of water in it. Thereupon he said: I think it would soon become dry. He again said: Inform me about the spring of Zughar. They said: Which aspect of it you want to know? He (the chained person) said: Is there water in it and does it irrigate (the land)? We said to him: Yes, there is abundance of water in it and the inhabitants (of Medina) irrigate (land) with the help of it, He said: Inform me about the unlettered Prophet [S.A.W.S]; what has he done? We said: He has come out from Mecca and has settled In Yathrib (Medina). He said: Do the Arabs fight against him? We said: Yes. He said: How did he deal with him? We informed him that he had overcome those in his neighbourhood and they had submitted themselves before him. Thereupon he said to us: Had it actually happened? We said: Yes. Thereupon he said: If it is so that is better for them that they should show obedience to him. I am going to tell you about myself and I am dajjal and would be soon permitted to get out and so I shall get out and travel in the land, and will not spare any town where I would not stay for forty nights except Mecca and Medina as these two (places) are prohibited (areas) for me and I would not make an attempt to enter any one of these two. An angel (P.B.U.H) with a sword in his hand would confront me and would bar my way and there would be Angels (P.B.U.T) to guard every passage leading to it; then ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] striking the pulpit with the help of the end of his staff said: This implies Taiba meaning Medina. Have I not, told you an account (of the dajjal) like this? 'The people said: Yes, and this account narrated by Tamim Dari (R.A) was liked by me for it corroborates the account which I gave to you in regard to him (dajjal) at Medina and Mecca. Behold he (dajjal) is in the Syrian sea (Mediterranian) or the Yemen sea (Arabian sea). Nay, on the contrary, he is in the east, he is in the east, he is in the east, and he pointed with his hand towards the east. I (Fatima bint Qais (R.A)) said: I preserved it in my mind (this narration from ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S].

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 1, Book 42: Pertaining To Piety And Softening Of Hearts (Kitab Al-Zuhd Wa Al-Raqa’iq), Number 7079:
Anas b. Malik (R.A) reported:
We were in the company of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] that he smiled and said: Do you know why I laughed? We said: ALLAH [S.W.T] and HIS Messenger [S.A.W.S], know best. Thereupon he said: It was because of the (fact that there came to my mind the) talk which the servant would have with his LORD. (On the Day of Judgment). He would say: My LORD, have you not guaranteed me protection against injustice? HE would say: Yes. Then the servant would say: I do not deem valid any witness against me but my own self, and HE would say: Well, enough would he the witness of your self against you and that of the two Angels (P.B.U.T) who had been appointed to record your deeds. Then the seal would be set upon his mouth and it would be said to his hands and feet to speak and they would speak of his deeds. Then the mouth would be made free to talk, he would say (to the hands and feet): Be away, let there be curse of ALLAH [S.W.T] upon you. It was for your safety that I contended.

Sunan Abi Dawud: Chapter 1, Book 26: Knowledge (Kitab Al-Ilm), Hadith 1:
Narrated Kathir ibn Qays (R.A):
Kathir ibn Qays (R.A) said: I was sitting with Abud Darda' (R.A) in the Mosque of Damascus. A man came to him and said: Abud Darda (R.A), I have come to you from the town of the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] for a tradition that I have heard you relate from the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S]. I have come for no other purpose. He said: I heard the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] say: If anyone travels on a road in search of knowledge, ALLAH [S.W.T] will cause him to travel on one of the roads of Paradise. The Angels (P.B.U.T) will lower their wings in their great pleasure with one who seeks knowledge, the inhabitants of the heavens and the Earth and the fish in the deep waters will ask forgiveness for the learned man. The superiority of the learned man over the devout is like that of the moon, on the night when it is full, over the rest of the stars. The learned are the heirs of the Prophets (P.B.U.T), and the Prophets (P.B.U.T) leave neither dinar nor dirham, leaving only knowledge, and he who takes it takes an abundant portion.

Sunan Abi Dawud: Chapter 27, Book 42: Model Behavior of the Prophet (Kitab Al-Sunnah), Hadith 158:
Narrated Al-Bara' Ibn Azib (R.A):
We went out with the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] accompanying the bier of a man of the Ansar. When we reached his grave, it was not yet dug. So the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] sat down and we also sat down around him as if birds were over our heads. He had in his hand a stick with which he was scratching the ground. He then raised his head and said: Seek refuge with ALLAH [S.W.T] from the punishment in the grave. He said it twice or thrice.
The version of Jabir (R.A) adds here: He hears the beat of their sandals when they go back, and at that moment he is asked: O so and so! Who is your LORD, what is your religion, and who is your Prophet?
Hannad (R.A)'s version says: Two Angels (P.B.U.T) will come to him, make him sit up and ask him: Who is your LORD? He will reply: My LORD is ALLAH [S.W.T]. They will ask him: What is your religion? He will reply: My religion is Islam. They will ask him: What is your opinion about the man who was sent on a mission among you? He will reply: He is the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S]. They will ask: Who made you aware of this? He will reply: I read ALLAH [S.W.T]'s Book, believed in it, and considered it true; which is verified by ALLAH [S.W.T]'s words: "ALLAH [S.W.T]'s Book, believed in it, and considered it true, which is verified by ALLAH [S.W.T]'s words: "ALLAH establishes those who believe with the word that stands firm in this world and the next."
The agreed version reads: Then a crier will call from Heaven: MY servant has spoken the truth, so spread a bed for him from Paradise, clothe him from Paradise, and open a door for him into Paradise. So some of its air and perfume will come to him, and a space will be made for him as far as the eye can see.
He also mentioned the death of the infidel, saying: His spirit will be restored to his body, two Angels (P.B.U.T) will come to him, make him sit up and ask him: Who is your LORD? He will reply: Alas, alas! I do not know. They will ask him: What is your religion? He will reply: Alas, alas! I do not know. They will ask: Who was the man who was sent on a mission among you? He will reply: Alas, alas! I do not know. Then a crier will call from Heaven: He has lied, so spread a bed for him from Hell, clothe him from Hell, and open for him a door into Hell. Then some of its heat and pestilential wind will come to him, and his grave will be compressed, so that his ribs will be crushed together. Jabir (R.A)'s version adds: One who is blind and dumb will then be placed in charge of him, having a sledge-hammer such that if a mountain were struck with it, it would become dust. He will give him a blow with it which will be heard by everything between the east and the west except by men and jinn, and he will become dust. Then his spirit will be restored to him.

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 93: Oneness, Uniqueness of ALLAH [S.W.T] (Tawheed), Number 546:
Narrated 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] the true and truly inspired, narrated to us, "The creation of everyone of you starts with the process of collecting the material for his body within forty days and forty nights in the womb of his mother. Then he becomes a clot of thick blood for a similar period (40 days) and then he becomes like a piece of flesh for a similar period. Then an Angel (P.B.U.H) is sent to him (by ALLAH [S.W.T]) and the Angel (P.B.U.H) is allowed (ordered) to write four things; his livelihood, his (date of) death, his deeds, and whether he will be a wretched one or a blessed one (in the Hereafter) and then the soul is breathed into him. So one of you may do (good) deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise so much that there is nothing except a cubit between him and Paradise but then what has been written for him decides his behavior and he starts doing (evil) deeds characteristic of the people of Hell (Fire) and (ultimately) enters Hell (Fire); and one of you may do (evil) deeds characteristic of the people of Hell (Fire) so much so that there is nothing except a cubit between him and Hell (Fire), then what has been written for him decides his behavior and he starts doing (good) deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise and ultimately) enters Paradise."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 93: Oneness, Uniqueness of ALLAH [S.W.T] (Tawheed), Number 642:
Narrated 'Ali (R.A):
While the Prophet [S.A.W.S] was in a funeral procession, he took a stick and started scraping the earth with it and said, "There is none of you but has his place assigned either in Hell or in Paradise." They (the people) said, "Shall we not depend upon that (and give up doing any deeds)?' He said, " Carry on doing (good deeds) for everybody will find it easy to do such deeds as will lead him to his destined place for which he has been created ." (And then the Prophet [S.A.W.S] recited the Verse):-- 'As for him who gives (in charity) and keeps his duty to ALLAH...' (92.5)

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 6, Book 60: Prophetic Commentary on the Qur’an (Tafseer of the Prophet [S.A.W.S]), Number 473:
Narrated 'Ali (R.A):
While we were in a funeral procession in Baqi Al-Gharqad, ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] came and sat down, and we sat around him. He had a small stick in his hand and he bent his head and started scraping the ground with it. He then said, "There is none among you, and no Created soul but has his place written for him either in Paradise or in the Hell-Fire, and also has his happy or miserable fate (in the Hereafter) written for him." A man said, "O ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S]! Shall we depend upon what is written for us and give up doing (good) deeds? For whoever among us is destined to be fortunate (in the Hereafter), will join the fortunate peoples and whoever among us is destined to be miserable will do such deeds as are characteristic of the people who are destined to misery." The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "Those who are destined to be happy (in the Hereafter) will find it easy and pleasant to do the deeds characteristic of those destined to happiness, while those who are to be among the miserable (in the Hereafter), will find it easy to do the deeds characteristic of those destined to misery." Then he recited: 'As for him who gives (in charity) and keeps his duty to ALLAH and believes in the Best reward from ALLAH, WE will make smooth for him the path of ease. But he who is a greedy miser and thinks himself self sufficient, and gives the lie to the Best reward from ALLAH, WE will make smooth for him the path for evil.' (92.5-10)

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 2, Book 24: Obligatory Charity Tax (Zakat), Number 544:
Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri (R.A):
Once the Prophet [S.A.W.S] sat on a pulpit and we sat around him. Then he said, "The things I am afraid of most for your sake (concerning what will befall you after me) is the pleasures and splendors of the world and its beauties which will be disclosed to you." Somebody said, "O ALLAH [S.W.T]'s Apostle [S.A.W.S]! Can the good bring forth evil?" The Prophet [S.A.W.S] remained silent for a while. It was said to that person, "What is wrong with you? You are talking to the Prophet [S.A.W.S] while he is not talking to you." Then we noticed that he was being inspired divinely. Then the Prophet [S.A.W.S] wiped off his sweat and said, "Where is the questioner?" It seemed as if the Prophet [S.A.W.S] liked his question. Then he said, "Good never brings forth evil. Indeed, it is like what grows on the banks of a water-stream which either kill or make the animals sick, except if an animal eats its fill the Khadira (a kind of vegetable) and then faces the sun, and then defecates and urinates and grazes again. No doubt this wealth is sweet and green. Blessed is the wealth of a Muslim from which he gives to the poor, the orphans and to needy travelers. (Or the Prophet [S.A.W.S] said something similar to it) No doubt, whoever takes it illegally will be like the one who eats but is never satisfied, and his wealth will be a witness against him on the Day of Resurrection."

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 83, Book 1: Faith (Kitab Al Iman), Number 0363:
It is reported on the authority of al-Mughira b. Shu’ba (R.A):
That the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] said: Moses (P.B.U.H) asked his LORD: Who amongst the inhabitants of Paradise is the lowest to rank? HE (ALLAH [S.W.T]) said: The person who would be admitted into Paradise last of all among those deserving of Paradise who are admitted to it. I would be said to him: Enter Paradise. He would say: O my LORD! How (should I enter) while the people have settled in their apartments and taken the shares (portions)? It would be said to him: Would you be pleased if there be for you like the kingdom of a king amongst the kings of the world? He would say: I am pleased my LORD. HE (ALLAH [S.W.T]) would say: For you is that, and like that, and like that, and like that, and that. He would say at the fifth (point): I am well pleased, my LORD. HE (ALLAH [S.W.T]) would say: It is for you and ten times like it, and for you is what your self desires and your eye enjoys. He would say: I am well pleased, my LORD. He (Moses (P.B.U.H)) said: (Which is) the highest of their (inhabitants of Paradise) ranks? HE (ALLAH [S.W.T]) said: They are those Whom I choose. I establish their Honor with MY OWN Hand and then set a seal over it (and they would be Blessed with Bounties) which no eye has seen, no ear has heard and no human mind has perceived: and this is substantiated by the Book of ALLAH [S.W.T], the EXALTED and GREAT: "So no soul knows what delight of the eye is hidden for them; a reward for what they did" (32.17).

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 13, Book 32: Virtue, Good Manners And Joining Of The Ties Of Relationship, Number 6246:
Abu Dharr (R.A) reported:
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] as saying that ALLAH [S.W.T], the EXALTED and GLORIOUS, said: MY servants, I have made oppression unlawful for ME and unlawful for you, so do not commit oppression against one another. MY servants, all of you are liable to err except one whom I guide on the right path, so seek right guidance from ME so that I should direct you to the right path. O MY servants, all of you are hungry (needy) except one whom I feed, so beg food from ME, so that I may give that to you. O MY servants, all of you are naked (need clothes) except one whom I provide garments, so beg clothes from ME, so that I should clothe you. O MY servants, you commit error night and day and I am there to pardon your sins, so beg pardon from ME, so that I should grant you pardon. O MY servants, you can neither do ME any harm nor can you do ME any good. O MY servants, even if the first amongst you and the last amongst you and even the whole of human race of yours, and that of jinns even, become (equal in) ALLAH [S.W.T] conscious like the heart of a single person amongst you, nothing would add to MY Power. O MY servants, even if the first amongst you and the last amongst you and the whole human race of yours and that of the jinns too in unison become the most wicked (all beating) like the heart of a single person, it would cause no loss to MY Power. O MY servants, even if the first amongst you and the last amongst you and the whole human race of yours and that of jinns also all stand in one plain ground and you ask ME and I confer upon every person what he asks for, it would not in any way, cause any loss to ME (even less) than that which is caused to the ocean by dipping the needle in it. MY servants, these for you I shall reward you for then, so he who deeds of yours which I am recording finds good should Praise ALLAH and he who does not find that should not blame anyone but his ownself. Sa'id (R.A) said: That when Abu Idris Khaulini (R.A) narrated this hadith he knelt upon his knees.
