Opening/First Ten Verses/Aya’t of [Surat Al-Kahf (The Cave) - سورة الكهف]

18:1
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَنزَلَ عَلَىٰ عَبْدِهِ الْكِتَابَ وَلَمْ يَجْعَل لَّهُ عِوَجًا ۜ
Pronunciation
Alhamdu lillahi allatheeanzala AAala AAabdihi alkitaba walam yajAAal lahuAAiwaja
Translation
[All] praise is [due] to ALLAH, WHO has sent down upon HIS Servant the Book and has not made therein any deviance.
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
Praise — which is the attribution [to a person] of that which is beautiful — is established [as something that], belongs to ALLAH [Alone], Exalted be HE. Now, is the intention here to point this out for the purpose of believing in it, or to Praise [ALLAH] thereby, or both? All are possibilities, the most profitable of which is [to understand] the third [as being the intention behind this statement]; WHO has revealed to HIS servant, Muhammad [S.A.W.S], the Book, the Qur'an, and has not allowed for it, that is, [HE has not allowed that there be] in it, any crookedness, [any] variance or contradiction (the [last] sentence [wa-lam yaj‘al lahu ‘iwajan] is a circumstantial qualifier referring to al-kitāb, ‘the Book’);
18:2
Pronunciation
Qayyiman liyunthira ba/san shadeedanmin ladunhu wayubashshira almu/mineena allatheenayaAAmaloona assalihati anna lahum ajran hasana
Translation
[HE has made it] straight, to warn of severe punishment from HIM and to give good tidings to the believers who do righteous deeds that they will have a good reward
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
[a Book] upright, (qayyiman is a second circumstantial qualifier for [added] emphasis) to warn of, to make, by this Book, the disbelievers fear, severe chastisement from HIM, from ALLAH [S.W.T], and to bring to the believers who perform righteous deeds the good tidings that theirs will be a fair reward,
18:3
مَّاكِثِينَ فِيهِ أَبَدًا
Pronunciation
Makitheena feehi abada
Translation
In which they will remain forever
Tafsir al-Jalalayn

18:4
وَيُنذِرَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا اتَّخَذَ اللَّهُ وَلَدًا

Translation
And to warn those who say, "ALLAH has taken a son."
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
And to warn those, from among the disbelievers, who say, ‘ALLAH has taken a son’.
18:5
Pronunciation
Ma lahum bihi min AAilmin walali-aba-ihim kaburat kalimatan takhruju min afwahihimin yaqooloona illa kathiba
Translation
They have no knowledge of it, nor had their fathers. Grave is the word that comes out of their mouths; they speak not except a lie.
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
They do not have, in this, in this saying, any knowledge, nor did their fathers, before them, who [also] used to say this. Dreadful, grave, is the word that comes out of their mouths (kalimatan, ‘word’, is for specification and it explains the unidentified [feminine] person [of the verb, kaburat, ‘dreadful’]; and that which is the object of censure has been omitted, and that is their above-mentioned saying [that ALLAH has taken a son]). They speak nothing, thereby, but, an utterance of, lies.
18:6
فَلَعَلَّكَ بَاخِعٌ نَّفْسَكَ عَلَىٰ آثَارِهِمْ إِن لَّمْ يُؤْمِنُوا بِهَٰذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَسَفًا
Pronunciation
FalaAAallaka bakhiAAun nafsaka AAalaatharihim in lam yu/minoo bihatha alhadeethiasafa
Translation
Then perhaps you would kill yourself through grief over them, [O Muhammad], if they do not believe in this message, [and] out of sorrow.
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
Yet it may be that you will consume, destroy, yourself in their wake — following [your being with] them, that is, after they have left you — if they should not believe in this discourse, [in this] Qur'an, out of grief, out of rage and anguish on your part, because of your eagerness that they believe (asafan, ‘out of grief’, is in the accusative because it functions as an object denoting reason).
18:7
إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا مَا عَلَى الْأَرْضِ زِينَةً لَّهَا لِنَبْلُوَهُمْ أَيُّهُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلًا
Pronunciation

Translation
Indeed, WE have made that which is on the earth adornment for it that WE may test them [as to] which of them is best in deed.
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
Truly WE have made all that is on the earth, in the way of animals, plants, trees, rivers and so on, as an adornment for it, that WE may try them, that WE may test mankind observing thereby, which of them is best in conduct, therein, that is, [to see which of them] is the most abstemious of it.
18:8
وَإِنَّا لَجَاعِلُونَ مَا عَلَيْهَا صَعِيدًا جُرُزًا
Pronunciation
Wa-inna lajaAAiloona maAAalayha saAAeedan juruza
Translation
And indeed, WE will make that which is upon it [into] a barren ground.
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
And indeed WE shall turn all that is therein into barren shreds, that produce no plants.
18:9

Pronunciation
Am hasibta anna as-habaalkahfi warraqeemi kanoo min ayatinaAAajaba
Translation
Or have you thought that the companions of the cave and the inscription were, among OUR signs, a wonder?
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
Or did you think, did you suppose, that the Companions of the Cave, the cavern in the mountain, and the Inscription, the tablet wherein their names and lineages had been inscribed — the Prophet [S.A.W.S] had been asked about their tale — were, with regard to their tale, a [unique] marvel from among, the entirety [of], OUR signs? (‘ajaban, ‘a marvel’ is the predicate of [the defective verb] kāna [sc. kānū], the preceding [min āyātinā, ‘from among OUR signs’] being a circumstantial qualifier). In other words, [did you suppose] that they were a marvel exclusively from among all [OUR] other signs, or that they were the most marvelous among them? Not so.
18:10

Translation
[Mention] when the youths retreated to the cave and said, "Our LORD, grant us from YOURSELF mercy and prepare for us from our affair right guidance."
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
Mention, when the youths took refuge in the Cave (fitya, ‘youths’, is the plural of fatā, and denotes a mature young man) fearing for their faith from their disbelieving people, they said, ‘Our LORD! Give us mercy from YOURSELF and remedy for us our affair through rectitude’, [through YOUR] guidance.

Ending/Last Ten Verses/Aya’t [Surat Al-Kahf (The Cave) - سورة الكهف]

18:101
الَّذِينَ كَانَتْ أَعْيُنُهُمْ فِي غِطَاءٍ عَن ذِكْرِي وَكَانُوا لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ سَمْعًا
Pronunciation
Allatheena kanat aAAyunuhumfee ghita-in AAan thikree wakanoo layastateeAAoona samAAa
Translation
Those whose eyes had been within a cover [removed] from MY remembrance, and they were not able to hear.
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
Those [disbelievers] whose eyes (alladhīna kānat a‘yunuhum substitutes for al-kāfirīna, ‘the disbelievers’) were masked from MY remembrance, namely, the Qur'an, such that they were blind, unable to be guided thereby, and who could not [bear to] hear, that is to say, they were unable to listen to what the Prophet [S.A.W.S] used to recite to them, out of spite for him, and so they did not believe therein.
18:102
Pronunciation
Afahasiba allatheena kafarooan yattakhithoo AAibadee min doonee awliyaainna aAAtadna jahannama lilkafireena nuzula
Translation
Then do those who disbelieve think that they can take MY servants instead of ME as allies? Indeed, WE have prepared Hell for the disbelievers as a lodging.
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
Do the disbelievers reckon that they can take MY servants, namely, MY angels, [as well as] Jesus and Ezra (P.B.U.T), as patrons, as lords, beside ME? (awliyā’a, ‘as patrons’, constitutes the second [direct] object of [the verb] yattakhidhū, ‘that they can take’; the second direct object of [the verb] hasiba, ‘reckon’, has been omitted). The meaning is: do they suppose that the mentioned ‘taking [as patrons]’ will not incur MY wrath and that I will not punish them for this? No! Truly WE have prepared Hell for the disbelievers, these [the ones mentioned above] and others, as [a place of] hospitality, in other words, it has been prepared for them just as a house is prepared for a guest.
18:103
قُلْ هَلْ نُنَبِّئُكُم بِالْأَخْسَرِينَ أَعْمَالًا
Pronunciation

18:104
الَّذِينَ ضَلَّ سَعْيُهُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ يَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمْ يُحْسِنُونَ صُنْعًا
Pronunciation

[They are] those whose effort is lost in worldly life, while they think that they are doing well in work."
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
Those whose effort goes astray in the life of this world, [those] whose deeds are invalid, while they reckon, they think, that they are doing good work, [good] deeds for which they will be rewarded.
18:105
Pronunciation
Ola-ika allatheena kafaroobi-ayati rabbihim waliqa-ihi fahabitataAAmaluhum fala nuqeemu lahum yawma alqiyamatiwazna
Translation
Those are the ones who disbelieve in the verses of their LORD and in [their] meeting HIM, so their deeds have become worthless; and WE will not assign to them on the Day of Resurrection any importance.
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
Those are they who disbelieve in the signs of their LORD, in the proofs of HIS Oneness, [proofs] such as the Qur'an and otherwise, and the encounter with HIM’, that is, and [who disbelieve] in resurrection, reckoning, reward and punishment. So their works have failed, they are invalid, and on the Day of Resurrection WE shall not assign any weight to them, in other words, WE shall not accord them any value.
18:106
ذَٰلِكَ جَزَاؤُهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ بِمَا كَفَرُوا وَاتَّخَذُوا آيَاتِي وَرُسُلِي هُزُوًا
Pronunciation
Thalika jazaohum jahannamubima kafaroo wattakhathoo ayateewarusulee huzuwa
Translation
That is their recompense - Hell - for what they denied and [because] they took MY signs and MY Messengers in ridicule.
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
That, namely, the matter which I [God] have mentioned concerning the failure of their deeds and so on (dhālika, ‘that’, constitutes the subject) is their requital — Hell — because they disbelieved and took MY signs and MY Messengers (P.B.U.T) in mockery, that is to say, [taking] both of them as something to be derided.
18:107
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ كَانَتْ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتُ الْفِرْدَوْسِ نُزُلًا

Tafsir al-Jalalayn
Truly those who believe and perform righteous deeds — theirs will be, according to ALLAH [S.W.T]’s prescience, the gardens of Firdaws, which are at the centre of Paradise and [at] its highest part (the annexation thereto [of firdaws to jannāt, ‘gardens’] is explicative) as [a place of] hospitality, as an abode;

Say, "If the sea were ink for [writing] the words of my LORD, the sea would be exhausted before the Words of my LORD were exhausted, even if WE brought the like of it as a supplement."
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
Say: ‘If the sea, in other words, [if] its waters, were ink (midād is what one writes with) for the Words of my LORD, [Words] that testify to HIS laws and HIS marvels, such that these [Words] are written with it, the sea would be spent, in recording them, before the Words of my LORD were spent (read as tanfada or yanfada) even though WE brought the like of it, namely, [the like of] the sea, as replenishment’, in order to add it to the other [sea], it would [also] be spent, while they [ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Words] would not be exhausted (madadan, ‘as replenishment’, in the accusative because it is a specification).
18:110

Translation
Say, "I am only a man like you, to whom has been revealed that your god is ONE ALLAH. So whoever would hope for the meeting with his LORD - let him do righteous work and not associate in the Worship of his LORD anyone."
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
Say: ‘I am only a human being, a son of Adam (P.B.U.H), like you; it has been revealed to me that your god is Only ONE ALLAH (annamā, the anna assimilated with the mā retains [its function of referring to] the verbal noun), in other words, the Oneness of the Divine is [what is being] revealed to me. So whoever hopes to encounter his LORD, through the Resurrection and the Requital, let him do righteous work and not associate with the Worship of his LORD, that is to say, [let him not commit idolatry] in [performing] it by feigning [faith] before, anyone’.

Selected Hadith Regarding Sign of [Imam Al-Mahdi (R.A), dajjal / the anti Christ, Return of Prophet Hadrat 'Isa / Jesus Christ (A.S), yajuj-majuj / gog-magog, The Beast, Last Hour]

Sunan Abi Dawud: Chapter 1, Book 38: The Promised Deliverer (Kitab Al-Mahdi), Hadith 5:
Narrated Ali ibn Abu Talib (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said: If only one day of this time (world) remained, ALLAH [S.W.T] would raise up a man from my family who would fill this earth with justice as it has been filled with oppression.

Sunan Abi Dawud: Chapter 1, Book 38: The Promised Deliverer (Kitab Al-Mahdi), Hadith 7:
Narrated Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said: The Mahdi (R.A) will be of my stock, and will have a broad forehead a prominent nose. He will fill the earth with equity and justice as it was filled with oppression and tyranny, and he will rule for seven years.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 72, Book 1: Faith (Kitab Al Iman), Number 0290:
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that:
The Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] observed: What will be your state when the son of Mary (P.B.U.T) descends amongst you and there will be an Imam amongst you?

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 72, Book 1: Faith (Kitab Al Iman), Number 0293:
Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported:
I heard the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] say: A section of my people will not cease fighting for the Truth and will prevail till the Day of Resurrection. He said: Jesus son of Mary would then descend and their (Muslims') commander would invite him to come and lead them in prayer, but he would say: No, some amongst you are commanders over some (amongst you). This is the honour from ALLAH [S.W.T] for this Ummah.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 1, Book 20: On Government (Kitab Al-Imara), Number 4483:
It has been narrated on the authority of Amir b. Sa'd b. Abu Waqqas (R.A) who said:
I wrote (a letter) to Jabir b. Samura (R.A) and sent it to him through my servant Nafi' (R.A), asking him to inform me of something he had heard from the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S]. He wrote to me (in reply): I heard the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] say on Friday evening, the day on which al-Aslami was stoned to death (for committing adultery): The Islamic religion will continue until the Hour has been established, or you have been ruled over by twelve Caliphs, all of them being from the Quraish. Also heard him say: A small force of the Muslims will capture the white palace, the police of the Persian Emperor or his descendants. I also heard him say: Before the Day of Judgment there will appear (a number of) impostors. You are to guard against them. I also heard him say: When ALLAH [S.W.T] grants wealth to any one of you, he should first spend it on himself and his family (and then give it in charity to the poor). I heard him (also) say: I will be your forerunner at the Cistern (expecting your arrival).

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 16, Book 41: Pertaining To Turmoil And Portents Of The Last Hour (Kitab Al-Fitan Wa Ashrat As-Sa'Ah), Number 6961:
Abu Nadra (R.A) reported:
"We were in the company of Jabir b. 'Abdulldh (R.A) that he said it may happen that the people of Iraq may not send their qafiz and dirhams (their measures of food stuff and their money). We said: Who would be responsible for it? He said: The non-Arabs would prevent them. He again said: There is the possibility that the people of Syria may not send their dinar and mudd. We said: Who would be responsible for it? He said this prevention would be made by the Romans. He (Jabir b. Abdullab (R.A)) kept quiet for a while and then reported: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] having said there would be a Caliph in the last (period) of my Ummah who would freely give handfuls of wealth to the people without counting it. I said to Abu Nadra and Abu al-'Ala (R.A): Do you mean 'Umarb. 'Abd al-Aziz? They said: No (he would be Imam Mahdi (R.A)).

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 18, Book 41: Pertaining To Turmoil And Portents Of The Last Hour (Kitab Al-Fitan Wa Ashrat As-Sa'Ah), Number 7015:
An-Nawwas b. Sam'an (R.A) reported:
That ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] made a mention of the dajjal one day in the morning. He sometimes described him to be insignificant and sometimes described (his turmoil) as very significant and we felt) as if he were in the cluster of the date-palm trees. When we went to him (to the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) in the evening and he read (the signs of fear) in our faces, he said: What is the matter with you? We said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], you made a mention of the dajjal in the morning (sometimes describing him) to be insignificant and sometimes very important, until we began to think as if he were present in some (near) part of the cluster of the date-palm trees. Thereupon he said: I harbor fear in regard to you in so many other things besides the dajjal. If he comes forth while I am among on, I shall contend with him on your behalf, but if he comes forth while I am not amongst you, a man must contend on his own behalf and ALLAH [S.W.T] would take care of every Muslim on my behalf (and safeguard him against his evil). He (dajjal) would be a young man with twisted, contracted hair, and a blind eye. I compare him to 'Abd-ul-'Uzza b. Qatan. He who amongst you would survive to see him should recite over him the opening verses of Sura Kahf (18.). He would appear on the way between Syria and Iraq and would spread mischief right and left. O servants of ALLAH [S.W.T]! Adhere (to the path of Truth). We said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], how long would he stay on the earth? He said: For forty days, one day like a year and one day like a month and one day like a week and the rest of the days would be like your days. We said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], would one day's prayer suffice for the prayers of day equal to one year? Thereupon he said: No, but you must make an estimate of time (and then observe prayer). We said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], how quickly would he walk upon the earth? Thereupon he said: Like cloud driven by the wind. He would come to the people and invite them (to a wrong religion) and they would affirm their faith in him and respond to him. He would then give command to the sky and there would be rainfall upon the earth and it would grow crops. Then in the evening, their posturing animals would come to them with their humps very high and their udders full of milk and their flanks stretched. He would then come to another people and invite them. But they would reject him and he would go away from them and there would be drought for them and nothing would be left with them in the form of wealth. He would then walk through the waste, land and say to it: Bring forth your treasures, and the treasures would come out and collect (themselves) before him like the swarm of bees. He would then call a person brimming with youth and strike him with the sword and cut him into two pieces and (make these pieces lie at a distance which is generally) between the archer and his target. He would then call (that young man) and he will come forward laughing with his face gleaming (with happiness) and it would at this very time that ALLAH [S.W.T] would send Jesus Christ, son of Mary (P.B.U.T), and he will descend at the white minaret in the eastern side of Damascus wearing two garments lightly dyed with saffron and placing his hands on the wings of two Angels (P.B.U.T). When he would lower his head, there would fall beads of perspiration from his head, and when he would raise it up, beads like pearls would scatter from it. Every non-believer who would smell the odor of his self would die and his breath would reach as far as he would be able to see. He would then search for him (dajjal) until he would catch hold of him at the gate of Ludd and would kill him. Then a people whom ALLAH [S.W.T] had protected would come to Jesus, son of Mary (P.B.U.T), and he would wipe their faces and would inform them of their ranks in Paradise and it would be under such conditions that ALLAH [S.W.T] would reveal to Jesus (P.B.U.H) these words: I have brought forth from amongst MY servants such people against whom none would be able to fight; you take these people safely to Tur, and then ALLAH [S.W.T] would send yajuj/gog and Majuj/magog and they would swarm down from every slope. The first of them would pass the lake of Tiberius and drink out of it. And when the last of them would pass, he would say: There was once water there. Jesus (P.B.U.H) and his companions (R.A) would then be besieged here (at Tur, and they would be so much hard pressed) that the head of the ox would be dearer to them than one hundred diners and ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle, Jesus (P.B.U.H), and his companions (R.A) would supplicate ALLAH [S.W.T], WHO would send to them insects (which would attack their necks) and in the morning they would perish like one single person. ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle, Jesus (P.B.U.H), and his companions (R.A) would then come down to the earth and they would not find in the earth as much space as a single span which is not filled with their putrefaction and stench. ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle, Jesus (P.B.U.H), and his companions (R.A) would then again beseech ALLAH [S.W.T], WHO would send birds whose necks would be like those of Bactrian camels and they would carry them and throw them where ALLAH [S.W.T] would Will. Then ALLAH [S.W.T] would send rain which no house of clay or (the tent of) camels' hairs would keep out and it would wash away the earth until it could appear to be a mirror. Then the earth would be told to bring forth its fruit and restore its blessing and, as a result thereof, there would grow (such a big) pomegranate that a group of persons would be able to eat that, and seek shelter under its skin and milch cow would give so much milk that a whole party would be able to drink it. And the milch camel would give such (a large quantity of) milk that the whole tribe would be able to drink out of that and the milch sheep would give so much milk that the whole family would be able to drink out of that and at that time ALLAH [S.W.T] would send a pleasant wind which would soothe (people) even under their armpits, and would take the life of every Muslim and only the wicked would survive who would commit adultery like asses and the Last Hour would come to them.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 21, Book 41: Pertaining To Turmoil And Portents Of The Last Hour (Kitab Al-Fitan Wa Ashrat As-Sa'Ah), Number 7028:
Amir b. Sharahil Sha'bi Sha'b Hamdan (R.A) reported:
That he asked Fatima (R.A), daughter of Qais and sister of ad-Dahhak b. Qais and she was the first amongst the emigrant women: Narrate to me a hadith which you had heard directly from ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] and there is no extra link in between them. She said: Very well, if you like, I am prepared to do that, and he said to her: Well, do it and narrate that to me. She said: I married the son of Mughira (R.A) and he was a chosen young man of Quraish at that time, but he fell as a martyr in the first Jihad (fighting) on the side of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S]. When I became a widow, 'Abd al-Rahman b. Auf (R.A), one amongst the group of the Companions (R.A) of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], sent me the proposal of marriage. ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] also sent me such a message for his freed slave Usama b. Zaid (R.A). And it had been conveyed to me that ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] had said (about Usama (R.A)): He who loves me should also love Usama (R.A). When ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] talked to me (about this matter), I said: My affairs are in your hand. You may marry me to anyone whom you like. He said: You better shift now to the house of Umm Sharik (R.A), and Umm Sharik (R.A) was a rich lady from amongst the Anqir. She spent generously for the Cause of ALLAH [S.W.T] and entertained guests very hospitably. I said: Well, I will do as you like. He said: Do not do that for Umm Sharik (R.A) is a woman who is very frequently vizited by guests and I do not like that your head may be uncovered or the cloth may be removed from your shank and the strangers may catch sight of them which you abhor. You better shift to the house of your cousin 'Abdullah b. 'Amr b. Umm Maktum (R.A) and he is a person of the Bani Fihr branch of the Quraish, and he belonged to that tribe (to which Fatima (R.A)) belonged. So I shifted to that house, and when my period of waiting was over, I heard the voice of an announcer making an announcement that the prayer would be observed in the Mosque (where) congregational prayer (is observed). So I set out towards that Mosque and observed prayer along with ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] and I was in the row of the women which was near the row of men. When ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] had finished his prayer, he sat on the pulpit smiling and said: Every worshiper should keep sitting at his place. He then said: Do you know why I had asked you to assemble? They said: ALLAH [S.W.T] and HIS Messenger [S.A.W.S] know best. He said: By ALLAH [S.W.T]. I have not made you assemble for exhortation or for a warning, but I have detained you here, for Tamim Dari (R.A), a Christian, who came and accepted Islam, told me something, which agrees with what I was-telling, you about the dajjal. He narrated to me that he had sailed in a ship along with thirty men of Bani Lakhm and Bani Judham and had been tossed by waves in the ocean for a month. Then these (waves) took them (near) the land within the ocean (island) at the time of sunset. They sat in a small side-boat and entered that Island. There was a beast with long thick hair (and because of these) they could not distinguish his face from his back. They said: Woe to you, who can you be? Thereupon it said: I am al-Jassasa. They said: What is al-Jassasa? And it said: O people, go to this person in the monastery as he is very much eager to know about you. He (the narrator) said: When it named a person for us we were afraid of it lest it should be a devil. Then we hurriedly went on till we came to that monastery and found a well-built person there with his hands tied to his neck and having iron shackles between his two legs up to the ankles. We said: Woe be upon thee, who are you? And he said: You would soon come to know about me but tell me who are you? We said: We are people from Arabia and we embarked upon a boat but the sea-waves had been driving us for one month and they brought as near this island. We got into the side-boats and entered this island and here a beast met us with profusely thick hair and because of the thickness of his hair his face could not be distinguished from his back. We said: Woe be to thee, who are you? It said: I am al- Jassasa. We said: What is al-Jassasa? And it said: You go to this very person in the monastery for he is eagerly waiting for you to know about you. So we came to you in hot haste fearing that might be the devil. He (that chained person) said: Tell me about the date-palm trees of Baisan. We said: About what aspect of theirs do you seek information? He said: I ask you whether these trees bear fruit or not. We said: Yes. Thereupon he said: I think these would not bear fruits. He said: Inform me about the lake of Tabariyya? We said: Which aspect of it do you want to know? He said: Is there water in it? They said: There is abundance of water in it. Thereupon he said: I think it would soon become dry. He again said: Inform me about the spring of Zughar. They said: Which aspect of it you want to know? He (the chained person) said: Is there water in it and does it irrigate (the land)? We said to him: Yes, there is abundance of water in it and the inhabitants (of Medina) irrigate (land) with the help of it, He said: Inform me about the unlettered Prophet [S.A.W.S]; what has he done? We said: He has come out from Mecca and has settled In Yathrib (Medina). He said: Do the Arabs fight against him? We said: Yes. He said: How did he deal with him? We informed him that he had overcome those in his neighbourhood and they had submitted themselves before him. Thereupon he said to us: Had it actually happened? We said: Yes. Thereupon he said: If it is so that is better for them that they should show obedience to him. I am going to tell you about myself and I am dajjal and would be soon permitted to get out and so I shall get out and travel in the land, and will not spare any town where I would not stay for forty nights except Mecca and Medina as these two (places) are prohibited (areas) for me and I would not make an attempt to enter any one of these two. An angel (P.B.U.H) with a sword in his hand would confront me and would bar my way and there would be Angels (P.B.U.T) to guard every passage leading to it; then ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] striking the pulpit with the help of the end of his staff said: This implies Taiba meaning Medina. Have I not, told you an account (of the dajjal) like this? 'The people said: Yes, and this account narrated by Tamim Dari (R.A) was liked by me for it corroborates the account which I gave to you in regard to him (dajjal) at Medina and Mecca. Behold he (dajjal) is in the Syrian sea (Mediterranian) or the Yemen sea (Arabian sea). Nay, on the contrary, he is in the east, he is in the east, he is in the east, and he pointed with his hand towards the east. I (Fatima bint Qais (R.A)) said: I preserved it in my mind (this narration from ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S].

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 3: Knowledge, Number 86:
Narrated Asma (R.A):
I came to 'Aisha (R.A) while she was praying, and said to her, "What has happened to the people?" She pointed out towards the sky. (I looked towards the Mosque), and saw the people offering the prayer. Aisha (R.A) said, "Subhan ALLAH." I said to her, "Is there a sign?" She nodded with her head meaning, "Yes." I, too, then stood (for the prayer of eclipse) till I became (nearly) unconscious and later on I poured water on my head. After the prayer, the Prophet [S.A.W.S] Praised and Glorified ALLAH [S.W.T] and then said, "Just now at this place I have seen what I have never seen before, including Paradise and Hell. No doubt it has been inspired to me that you will be put to trials in your graves and these trials will be like the trials of Masiah-ad-dajjal or nearly like it (the sub narrator is not sure which expression Asma' (R.A) used). You will be asked, 'What do you know about this man (the Prophet Muhammad [S.A.W.S.])?' Then the faithful believer (or Asma' (R.A) said a similar word) will reply, 'He is Muhammad [S.A.W.S] ALLAH [S.W.T]'s Apostle who had come to us with clear evidences and guidance and so we accepted his teachings and followed him. And he is Muhammad [S.A.W.S].' And he will repeat it thrice. Then the Angels (P.B.U.T) will say to him, 'Sleep in peace as we have come to know that you were a faithful believer.' On the other hand, a hypocrite or a doubtful person will reply, 'I do not know, but I heard the people saying something and so I said it.' (the same)."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 3: Knowledge, Number 98:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
I said: "O ALLAH [S.W.T]'s Apostle [S.A.W.S]! Who will be the luckiest person, who will gain your intercession on the Day of Resurrection?" ALLAH [S.W.T]'s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said: O Abu Huraira (R.A)! "I have thought that none will ask me about it before you as I know your longing for the (learning of) Hadiths. The luckiest person who will have my intercession on the Day of Resurrection will be the one who said sincerely from the bottom of his heart "None has the right to be Worshiped but ALLAH." And 'Umar bin 'Abdul 'Aziz (R.A.) wrote to Abu Bakr bin Hazm (R.A), "Look for the knowledge of Hadith and get it written, as I am afraid that religious knowledge will vanish and the religious learned men will pass away (die). Do not accept anything save the Hadiths of the Prophet [S.A.W.S]. Circulate knowledge and teach the ignorant, for knowledge does not vanish except when it is kept secretly (to oneself)."

ALLAH [S.W.T]'s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, "I have been given five things which were not given to any amongst the Prophets (P.B.U.T) before me. These are:
1. ALLAH [S.W.T] made me victorious by awe (by HIS frightening my enemies) for a distance of one month's journey.
2. The earth has been made for me (and for my followers) a place for praying and a thing to perform Tayammum. Therefore my followers can pray wherever the time of a prayer is due.
3. The booty has been made Halal (lawful) for me (and was not made so for anyone else).
4. Every Prophet [P.B.U.T] used to be sent to his nation exclusively but I have been sent to all mankind.
5. I have been given the right of intercession (on the Day of Resurrection.)

ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, "As regards stealing and robberies, there will shortly come a time when a caravan will go to Mecca (from Medina) without any guard. And regarding poverty, The Hour (Day of Judgment) will not be established till one of you wanders about with his object of charity and will not find anybody to accept it. And (no doubt) each one of you will stand in front of ALLAH [S.W.T] and there will be neither a curtain nor an interpreter between him and ALLAH [S.W.T], and ALLAH [S.W.T] will ask him, 'Did not I give you wealth?' He will reply in the affirmative. ALLAH [S.W.T] will further ask, 'Didn't I send a Messenger to you?' And again that person will reply in the affirmative. Then he will look to his right and he will see nothing but Hell-fire, and then he will look to his left and will see nothing but Hell-fire. And so, any (each one) of you should save himself from the fire even by giving half of a date-fruit (in charity). He will land in some of the salty barren areas (outside) Medina; on that day the best man or one of the best men will come up to him and say, 'I testify that you are the same dajjal whose description was given to us by ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] .' Ad-dajjal will say to the people, 'If I kill this man and bring him back to life again, will you doubt my claim?' They will say, 'No.' Then Ad-dajjal will kill that man and bring him back to life. Then ALLAH [S.W.T] will ask Noah (P.B.U.H), 'Who will stand a witness for you?' He will reply, 'Muhammad [S.A.W.S] and his followers (will stand witness for me).' Then I will say as the Pious slave of ALLAH [S.W.T] (i.e. Jesus (P.B.U.H)) said: 'And I was a witness Over them while I dwelt amongst them. When YOU took me up YOU were the Watcher over them, And YOU are a witness to all things. If YOU punish them. (Junada (R.A), the sub-narrator said, " 'Ubada (R.A) added, 'Such a person can enter Paradise through any of its eight gates he likes.")

(21.104) He added, "The first to be dressed will be Abraham (P.B.U.H) . Then some of my companions will take to the right and to the left. I will say: 'My companions! 'It will be said, 'They had been renegades since you left them.' I will then say what the Pious Slave Jesus, the son of Mary (P.B.U.T) said: 'And I was a witness over them while I dwelt amongst them; when YOU did take me up, YOU were the Watcher over them, and YOU are a Witness to all things. If YOU punish them, they are YOUR slaves, and if YOU forgive them, YOU, Only YOU are the ALL-MIGHTY the ALL-WISE.'" Money will be in abundance so that nobody will accept it, and a single prostration to ALLAH [S.W.T] (in prayer) will be better than the whole world and whatever is in it." Abu Huraira (R.A) added "If you wish, you can recite (this verse of the Holy Book): -- 'And there is none of the people of the Scriptures (Jews and Christians) But must believe in him (i.e Jesus (P.B.U.H) as an Apostle of ALLAH [S.W.T] and a human being) Before his death. He said, "I heard him saying, "When Al-dajjal appears, he will have fire and water along with him. What the people will consider as cold water, will be fire that will burn (things). So, if anyone of you comes across this, he should fall in the thing which will appear to him as fire, for in reality, it will be fresh cold water." Hudhaifa (R.A) added, "I also heard him saying, 'From among the people preceding your generation, there was a man whom the Angel of death (P.B.U.H) visited to capture his soul. (So his soul was captured) and he was asked if he had done any good deed.' He replied, 'I don't remember any good deed.' He was asked to think it over. He said, 'I do not remember, except that I used to trade with the people in the world and I used to give a respite to the rich and forgive the poor (among my debtors). So ALLAH [S.W.T] made him enter Paradise." Hudhaifa (R.A) further said, "I also heard him saying, 'Once there was a man on his death-bed, who, losing every hope of surviving said to his family: When I die, gather for me a large heap of wood and make a fire (to burn me). When the fire eats my meat and reaches my bones, and when the bones burn, take and crush them into powder and wait for a windy day to throw it (i.e. the powder) over the sea. They did so, but ALLAH [S.W.T] collected his particles and asked him: Why did you do so? He replied: For fear of YOU. So ALLAH [S.W.T] forgave him." 'Uqba bin 'Amr (R.A) said, "I heard him saying that the Israeli used to dig the grave of the dead (to steal their shrouds)."

The people used to ask ALLAH [S.W.T]'s Apostle [S.A.W.S] about good, but I used to ask him about evil for fear that it might overtake me. Once I said, "O ALLAH [S.W.T]'s Apostle [S.A.W.S]! We were in ignorance and in evil and ALLAH [S.W.T] has bestowed upon us the present good; will there by any evil after this good?" He said, "Yes." I asked, "Will there be good after that evil?" He said, "Yes, but it would be tained with Dakhan (i.e. little evil)." I asked, "What will its Dakhan be?" He said, "There will be some people who will lead (people) according to principles other than my tradition. You will see their actions and disapprove of them." I said, "Will there by any evil after that good?" He said, "Yes, there will be some people who will invite others to the doors of Hell, and whoever accepts their invitation to it will be thrown in it (by them)." I said, "O ALLAH [S.W.T]'s Apostle [S.A.W.S]! Describe those people to us." He said, "They will belong to us and speak our language" I asked, "What do you order me to do if such a thing should take place in my life?" He said, "Adhere to the group of Muslims and their Chief." I asked, "If there is neither a group (of Muslims) nor a chief (what shall I do)?" He said, "Keep away from all those different sects, even if you had to bite (i.e. eat) the root of a tree, till you meet ALLAH [S.W.T] while you are still in that state."

A man asked the Prophet [S.A.W.S] about the Hour (i.e. Day of Judgment) saying, "When will the Hour be?" The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "What have you prepared for it?" The man said, "Nothing, except that I love ALLAH [S.W.T] and HIS Apostle [S.A.W.S]." The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "You will be with those whom you love." We had never been so glad as we were on hearing that saying of the Prophet [S.A.W.S] (i.e., "You will be with those whom you love.") Therefore, I love the Prophet [S.A.W.S], Abu Bakr and 'Umar (R.A), and I hope that I will be with them because of my love for them though my deeds are not similar to theirs.

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 5, Book 59: Military Expeditions led by the Prophet [S.A.W.S] (Al-Maghaazi), Number 685:
Narrated Ibn Umar (R.A):
We were talking about Hajjat-ul-Wada, while the Prophet [S.A.W.S] was amongst us. We did not know what Hajjat-ul-Wada' signified. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] Praised ALLAH [S.W.T] and then mentioned Al-masih Ad-dajjal and described him extensively, saying, "ALLAH [S.W.T] did not send any Prophet (P.B.U.T) but that Prophet (P.B.U.T) warned his nation of Al-masih Ad-dajjal. Noah (P.B.U.H) and the Prophets (P.B.U.T) following him warned (their people) of him. He will appear amongst you (O Muhammad [S.A.W.S]'s followers), and if it happens that some of his qualities may be hidden from you, but your LORD's State is clear to you and not hidden from you. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said it thrice. Verily, your LORD is not blind in one eye, while he (i.e. Ad-dajjal) is blind in the right eye which looks like a grape bulging out (of its cluster). No doubt! ALLAH [S.W.T] has made your blood and your properties sacred to one another like the sanctity of this day of yours, in this town of yours, in this month of yours." The Prophet [S.A.W.S] added: No doubt! Haven't I conveyed ALLAH [S.W.T]'s Message to you?" They replied, "Yes," The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said thrice, "O ALLAH [S.W.T]! Be witness for it." The Prophet [S.A.W.S] added, "Woe to you!" (or said), "May ALLAH [S.W.T] be merciful to you! Do not become infidels after me (i.e. my death) by cutting the necks (throats) of one another."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 6, Book 60: Prophetic Commentary on the Qur’an (Tafseer of the Prophet [S.A.W.S]), Number 105:

During the lifetime of the Prophet [S.A.W.S] some people said: O ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S]! Shall we see our LORD on the Day of Resurrection?" The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "Yes; do you have any difficulty in seeing the sun at midday when it is bright and there is no cloud in the sky?" They replied, "No." He said, "Do you have any difficulty in seeing the moon on a full moon night when it is bright and there is no cloud in the sky?" They replied, "No." The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "(Similarly) you will have no difficulty in seeing ALLAH [S.W.T] on the Day of Resurrection as you have no difficulty in seeing either of them. On the Day of Resurrection, a call-maker will announce, "Let every nation follow that which they used to Worship." Then none of those who used to Worship anything other than ALLAH [S.W.T] like idols and other deities but will fall in Hell (Fire), till there will remain none but those who used to Worship ALLAH [S.W.T], both those who were obedient (i.e. good) and those who were disobedient (i.e. bad) and the remaining party of the people of the Scripture. Then the Jews will be called upon and it will be said to them, 'Who do you use to Worship?' They will say, 'We used to Worship Ezra, the son of ALLAH [S.W.T].' It will be said to them, 'You are liars, for ALLAH [S.W.T] has never taken anyone as a wife or a son. What do you want now?' They will say, 'O our LORD! We are thirsty, so give us something to drink.' They will be directed and addressed thus, 'Will you drink,' whereupon they will be gathered unto Hell (Fire) which will look like a mirage whose different sides will be destroying each other. Then they will fall into the Fire. Afterwards the Christians will be called upon and it will be said to them, 'Who do you use to Worship?' They will say, 'We used to Worship Jesus (P.B.U.H), the son of ALLAH [S.W.T].' It will be said to them, 'You are liars, for ALLAH [S.W.T] has never taken anyone as a wife or a son,' Then it will be said to them, 'What do you want?' They will say what the former people have said. Then, when there remain (in the gathering) none but those who used to Worship ALLAH [S.W.T] (Alone, the real LORD of the worlds) whether they were obedient or disobedient. Then (ALLAH [S.W.T]) the LORD of the worlds will come to them in a shape nearest to the picture they had in their minds about HIM. It will be said, 'What are you waiting for?' Every nation has followed what they used to Worship.' They will reply, 'We left the people in the world when we were in great need of them and we did not take them as friends. Now we are waiting for our LORD WHOM we used to Worship.' ALLAH [S.W.T] will say, 'I am your LORD.' They will say twice or thrice, 'We do not Worship any besides ALLAH [S.W.T].'"

While I was praying, ALLAH [S.W.T]'s Apostle [S.A.W.S] passed me and called me, but I did not go to him until I had finished the prayer. Then I went to him, and he said, "What prevented you from coming to me? Didn't ALLAH [S.W.T] say:-- "O you who believe! Answer the call of ALLAH (by obeying HIM) and HIS Apostle when he calls you?" He then said, "I will inform you of the greatest Sura in the Qur'an before I leave (the Mosque)." When ALLAH [S.W.T]'s Apostle [S.A.W.S] got ready to leave (the Mosque), I reminded him. He said, "It is: 'Praise be to ALLAH, the LORD of the worlds.' (i.e. Surat-al-Fatiha) As-sab'a Al-Mathani (the seven repeatedly recited Verses)."

Adam (P.B.U.H) will say, 'O LORD! Who are the mission for the (Hell) Fire?' ALLAH [S.W.T] will say, 'Out of each thousand, take out 999.' At that time every pregnant female shall drop her load (have a miscarriage) and a child will have grey hair. And you shall see mankind as in a drunken state, yet not drunk, but severe will be the torment of ALLAH [S.W.T]." (22.2) (When the Prophet [S.A.W.S.] mentioned this), the people were so distressed (and afraid) that their faces got changed (in color) whereupon the Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "From gog and magog nine-hundred ninety-nine will be taken out and one from you. You Muslims (compared to the large number of other people) will be like a black hair on the side of a white ox, or a white hair on the side of a black ox, and I hope that you will be one-fourth of the people of Paradise." On that, we said, "ALLAHU-Akbar!" Then he said, "I hope that you will be) one-third of the people of Paradise." We again said, "ALLAHU-Akbar!" Then he said, "(I hope that you will be) one-half of the people of Paradise." So we said, ALLAHU Akbar."

He had combed it and it was dripping water; and he was performing the Tawaf around the Kaba leaning on two men or on the shoulders of two men. l asked, "Who is this?" It was said. He would also say:" The last Hour and I have been sent like these two." And he would join his forefinger and middle finger; and would further say: "The best of the speech is embodied in the Book of ALLAH [S.W.T], and the best of the guidance is the guidance given by Muhammad [S.A.W.S]. And the most evil affairs are their innovations; and every innovation is error." By HIM in WHOSE Hand is my life, none amongst them would go out (of the city) with a dislike for it, but ALLAH [S.W.T] would make his successor in it someone better than he. Behold. Medina is like furnace which eliminates from it the impurities. And the Last Hour will not come until Medina banishes its evils just as a furnace eliminates the impurities of iron.

I was in the company of Maslama b. Mukhallad , and 'Abdullah b. 'Amr b. 'As (R.A) was with him. 'Abdullah (R.A) said: The Hour shall some only when the worst type of people are left on the earth. They will be worse than the people of pre-Islamic days. They will get whatever they ask of ALLAH [S.W.T]. While we were yet sitting when 'Uqba b. 'Amir (R.A) came, and Maslama (R.A) said to him: 'Uqba, listen to what 'Abdullah says. 'Uqba (R.A) said: He knows better; so far as I am concerned, I heard the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] say: A group of people from my Ummah will continue to fight in obedience to the Command of ALLAH [S.W.T], remaining dominant over their enemies. Those who will oppose them shall not do them any harm. They will remain ill this condition until the Hour overtakes them. (At this) 'Abdullah (R.A) said: Yes. Then ALLAH [S.W.T] will raise a wild which will be fragrant like musk and whose touch will be like the touch of silk ; (but) it will cause the death of all (faithful) persons, not leaving behind a single person with an iota of faith in his heart. Then only the worst of men will remain to be overwhelmed by the Hour.

And he was saying: There is no god but ALLAH [S.W.T]; there is destruction in store for Arabia beciuse of the turmoil which is near at hand as the barrier of Gog and Magog has been opened like it, and he (in order to explain it) made a ring with the help of his thumb and forefinger. I said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], what about him who would be made to accompany this army Willy nilly? Thereupon he said: He would be made to sink along with them but he would be raised on the Day of Resurrection on the basis of his intention. Abu Ja'far (R.A) said.' This plain, ground means the plain ground of Medina.

We said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], you have done something in the state of your sleep which you never did before, Thereupon he said: Strange it is that some, people of my Ummah would attack the House (Ka'ba) (for killing) a person who would belong to the tribe of the Quraish and he would try to seek protection in the House. And when they would reach the plain ground they would be sunk. We said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], all sorts of people throng the path. Thereupon he said: Yes, there would be amongst them people who would come with definite designs and those who would come under duress and there would be travelers also, but they would all be destroyed through one (stroke) of destruction. Though they would be raised in different states (on the Day of Resurrection). ALLAH [S.W.T] would, however, raise them according to their intention.

When the turmoil comes or it appears, the one who has camel should stick to his camel and he who has sheep or goat should stick to his sheep and goat and he who has land should stick to the land. A person said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], what is your opinion about one who has neither camel nor sheep nor land? Thereupon, he said: He should take hold of his sword and beat its edge with the help of stone and then try to find a way of escape. O ALLAH [S.W.T], I have conveyed (THY Message); O ALLAH [S.W.T], I have conveyed (THY Message); O ALLAH [S.W.T], I have conveyed (THY Message). A person said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], what is your opinion if I am drawn to a rank in spite of myself, or in one of the groups and made to march and a man strikes with his sword or there comes an arrow and kills me? Thereupon he said: He will bear the punishment of his sin and that of yours and he would be one amongst the denizens of Hell.

And the dominion of my Ummah would reach those ends which have been drawn near me and I have been granted the red and the white treasure and I begged my LORD for my Ummah that it should not be destroyed because of famine, nor be dominated by an enemy who is not amongst them to take their lives and destroy them root and branch, and my LORD said: Muhammad [S.A.W.S], whenever I make a decision, there is none to change it. Well, I grant you for your Ummah that it would not be destroyed by famine and it would not be dominated by an enemy who would not be amongst it and would take their lives and destroy them root and branch even if all the people from the different parts of the world join hands together (for this purpose), but it would be from amongst them, viz. your Ummah, that some people would kill the others or imprison the others.

Abu Huraira (R.A) reported:
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] as saying: The Last Hour would not come until the Romans would land at al-A'maq or in Dabiq. An army consisting of the best (soldiers) of the people of the earth at that time will come from Medina (to counteract them). When they will arrange themselves in ranks, the Romans would say: Do not stand between us and those (Muslims) who took prisoners from amongst us. Let us fight with them; and the Muslims would say: Nay, by ALLAH [S.W.T], we would never get aside from you and from our brethren that you may fight them. They will then fight and a third (part) of the army would run away, whom ALLAH [S.W.T] will never forgive. A third (part of the army) which would be constituted of excellent martyrs in ALLAH [S.W.T]'s eye, would be killed and the third who would never be put to trial would win and they would be conquerors of Constantinople. And as they would be busy in distributing the spoils of war (amongst themselves) after hanging their swords by the olive trees, the satan would cry: The dajjal has taken your place among your family. They would then come out, but it would be of no avail. And when they would come to Syria, he would come out while they would be still preparing themselves for battle drawing up the ranks. Certainly, the time of prayer shall come and then Jesus, son of Mary (P.B.U.T) would descend and would lead them in prayer. When the enemy of ALLAH [S.W.T] would see him, it would (disappear) just as the salt dissolves itself in water and if Jesus (P.B.U.H) were not to confront them at all, even then it would dissolve completely, but ALLAH [S.W.T] would kill them by his hand and he would show them their blood on his lance (the lance of Jesus Christ (P.B.U.H).

I heard ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] as saying: The Last Hour would come (when) the Romans would form a majority amongst people. 'Amr (R.A) said to him (Mustaurid Qurashi (R.A)): See what you are saying? He said: I say what I heard from ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S]. Thereupon he said: If you say that, it is a fact for they have four qualities. They have the patience to undergo a trial and immediately restore themselves to sanity after trouble and attack again after flight. They (have the quality) of being good to the destitute and the orphans, to the weak and, fifthly, the good quality in them is that they put resistance against the oppression of kings.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 11, Book 41: Pertaining To Turmoil And Portents Of The Last Hour (Kitab Al-Fitan Wa Ashrat As-Sa'Ah), Number 6927:
Yusair b. Jabir (R.A) reported:
Once there blew a red storm in Kufah that there came a person who had nothing to say but (these words): Abdullah b. Mas'ud (R.A), the Last Hour has come. He ('Abdullah b. Mas'ud (R.A)) was sitting reclining against something, and he said: The Last Hour would not come until the people divide inheritance and rejoice over booty, and then said pointing towards Syria, with the gesture of his hand like this: The enemy shall muster strength against Muslims and the Muslims will muster strength against them (Syrians). I said: You mean Rome? And he said: Yes, and there would be a terrible fight and the Muslims would prepare a detachment (for fighting unto death) which would not return but victorious. They will fight until night will intervene them; both the sides will return without being victorious and both will be wiped out. The Muslims will again prepare a detachment for fighting unto death so that they may not return but victorious. When it would be the fourth day, a new detachment out of the remnant of the Muslims would be prepared and ALLAH [S.W.T] will decree that the enemy should be routed. And they would fight such a fight the like of which would not be seen, so much so that even if a bird were to pass their flanks, it would fall down dead before reaching the end of them. (There would be such a large-scale massacre) that when counting would be done, (only) one out of a hundred men related to one another would be found alive. So what can be the joy at the spoils of such war and what inheritance would be divided! They would be in this very state that they would hear of a calamity more horrible than this. And a cry would reach them: The dajjal has taken your place among your off- spring. They will, therefore, throw away what would be in their hands and go forward sending ten horsemen, as a scouting party. ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: I know their names and the names of their forefathers and the color of their horses. They will be best horsemen on the surface of the earth on that day or amongst the best horsemen on the surface of the earth on that day.

We were with ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] in an expedition that there came a people to ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle (P.B.U.H) from the direction of the west. They were dressed in woolen clothes and they stood near a hillock and they met him as ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] was sitting. I said to myself: Better go to them and stand between him and them that they may not attack him. Then I thought that perhaps there had been going on secret negotiation amongst them. I however, went to them and stood between them and him and I remember four of the words (on that occasion) which I repeat (on the fingers of my hand) that ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: You will attack Arabia and ALLAH [S.W.T] will enable you to conquer it, then you would attack Persia and HE would make you to conquer it. Then you would attack Rome and ALLAH [S.W.T] will enable you to conquer it, then you would attack the dajjal and ALLAH [S.W.T] will enable you to conquer him. Nafi' (R.A) said: Jabir (R.A), we thought that the dajjal would appear after Rome (Syrian territory) would be conquered.

They (the Companions (R.A)) said: We are discussing about the Last Hour. Thereupon he said: It will not cone until you see ten signs before and (in this connection) he made a mention of the smoke, dajjal, the beast, the rising of the sun from the west, the descent of Jesus, son of Mary (P.B.U.T), the gog and magog, and land-slidings in three places, one in the east, one in the west and one in Arabia at the end of which fire would burn forth from the Yemen, and would drive people to the place of their assembly.

Shu'ba (R.A) said that 'Abd al-'Aziz b. Rufai' (R.A) reported on the authority of Abu Tufail (R.A) who reported on the authority of Abu Sariha (R.A) ahadith like this that ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] did not make a mention of (the tenth sign) but he said that out of the ten one was the descent of Jesus Christ, son of Mary (P.B.U.T), and in another version it is the blowing of the violent gale which would drive the people to the ocean.

The rest of the hadith is the same, and Shu'ba (R.A) said: I think he also said these words: The fire would descend along with them where they would land and where they would take rest (during midday (it would also cool down for a while). Shu'ba (R.A) said: This hadith has been transmitted to me through Abu Tufail and Abu Sariha (R.A) and none could trace it back directly to ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S]. However, there is a mention of the descent of Jesus Christ son of Mary (A.S) in one version and in the other there is a mention of the blowing of a violent would drive them to the ocean.

Thereupon ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said: It would happen as ALLAH [S.W.T] would like. Then ALLAH [S.W.T] would send the sweet fragrant air by which everyone who has even a mustard grain of faith in HIM would die and those only would survive who would have no goodness in them.  ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] saying: You have heard about a city the one side of which is in the land and the other is in the sea (Constantinople). They said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], yes. There upon he said: The Last Hour would not come unless seventy thousand persons from Bani lsra'il would attack it. When they would land there, they will neither fight with weapons nor would shower arrows but would only say: "There is no god but ALLAH and ALLAH is the Greatest," that one side of it would fall. Thaur (R.A) (one of the narrators) said: I think that he said: The part by the side of the ocean. Then they would say for the second time: "There is no god but ALLAH and ALLAH is the Greatest" that the second side would also fall, and they would say: "There is no god but ALLAH and ALLAH is the Greatest," that the gates would be opened for them and they would enter therein and, they would be collecting spoils of war and distributing them amongst themselves that a noise would be heard and It would be said: Verily, dajjal has come. And thus they would leave everything there and would turn to him.

Abu Huraira (R.A) reported:
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] as saying: The last hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews and the Muslims would kill them until the Jews would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree and a stone or a tree would say: Muslim, or the servant of ALLAH [S.W.T], there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him; but the tree Gharqad would not say, for it is the tree of the Jews.

That ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] met him (ibn sayyad) and so did Abu Bakr and 'Umar (R.A) on some of the roads of Medina. ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: Do you bear testimony to the fact that I am the Messenger of ALLAH? Thereupon he said: Do you bear testimony to the fact that I am the messenger of ALLAH? Thereupon ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: I affirm my faith in ALLAH [S.W.T] and in HIS Angels (P.B.U.T) and in HIS Books, and what do you see? He said: I see the throne over water. Whereupon ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: You see the throne of Iblis upon the water, and what else do you see? He said: I see two truthful and a liar or two liars and one truthful. Thereupon ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: Leave him he has been confounded.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 17, Book 41: Pertaining To Turmoil And Portents Of The Last Hour (Kitab Al-Fitan Wa Ashrat As-Sa'Ah), Number 6995:
Abu Sa'id Khudri (R.A) reported:
ibn sa'id said to me something for which I felt ashamed. He said: I can excuse others; but what has gone wrong with you, O companions (R.A) of Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S], that you take me as dajjal? Has ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] not said: That he would be a Jew whereas I am a Muslim and he also said: That he would not have children, whereas I have children, and he also said: verily, ALLAH [S.W.T] has prohibited him to enter Mecca whereas I have performed Pilgrimage, and he went on saying this that I was about to be impressed by his talk. He (however) said this also: I know where he (dajjal) is and I know his father and mother, and it was said to him: Won't you feel pleased if you would be the same person? Thereupon he said: If this offer is made to me, I would not resent that.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 17, Book 41: Pertaining To Turmoil And Portents Of The Last Hour (Kitab Al-Fitan Wa Ashrat As-Sa'Ah), Number 6996:
Abu Sa'id Khudri (R.A) reported:
We came back after having performed Pilgrimage or 'Umra and ibn sa'id was along with us. And we encamped at a place and the people dispersed and I and he were left behind. I felt terribly frightened from him as it was said about him that he was the dajjal. He brought his goods and placed them by my luggage and I said: It is intense heat. Would you not place that under that tree? And he did that. Then there appeared before us a flock of sheep. He went and brought a cup of milk and said: Abu Sa'id (R.A), drink that. I said it is intense heat and the milk is also hot (whereas the fact was) that I did not like to drink from his hands or to opt to take it from his hand and he said: Abu Sa'id (R.A), I think that I should take a rope and suspend it by the tree and then commit suicide because of the talks of the people, and he further said. Abu Sa'id (R.A) he who is ignorant of the saying of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] (he is to be pardoned), but O people of Ansar, is this Hadith of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] concealed from you whereas you have the best knowledge of this Hadith of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] amongst people? Did ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] not say that he (dajjal) would be a non believer whereas I am a believer? Did ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] not say he would be barren and no child would be born to him, whereas I have left my children in Medina? Did ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] not say: He would not get into Medina and Mecca whereas I have been coming from Medina and now I intend to go to Mecca? Abu Sa'id (R.A) said: I was about to accept the excuse put forward by him. Then he said: I know the place where he would be born and where he is now. So I said to him: May your whole day be spent.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 17, Book 41: Pertaining To Turmoil And Portents Of The Last Hour (Kitab Al-Fitan Wa Ashrat As-Sa'Ah), Number 7000:
'Abdullah b. Umar (R.A) reported:
'Umar b. Khattab (R.A) went along with ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] in the company of some persons to ibn sayyad that he found him playing with children near the battlement of Bani Maghala and ibn sayyad was at that time just at the threshold of adolescence and he did not perceive (the presence of Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) until ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] struck his back with his hands. ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: ibn sayyad, don't you bear witness that I am the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S]? ibn sayyad looked toward him and he said: I bear witness to the fact that you the Messenger of the unlettered. ibn sayyad said to the ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S]: Do you bear witness to the fact that I am the messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T]? ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] rejected this and said: I affirm my faith in ALLAH [S.W.T] and in HIS Messengers (P.B.U.T). Then ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said to him: What do you see? ibn sayyad said: It is a Dukh. Thereupon ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: May you be disgraced and dishonored, you would not be able to go beyond your rank. 'Umar b. Khattab (R.A) said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], permit me that I should strike his neck. Thereupon ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: If he is the same (dajjal) who would appear near the Last Hour, you would not be able to overpower him, and he is not that then is no good for you to kill him. 'Abdullah b. 'Umar (R.A) further narrated that after some time ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] and Ubayy b. Ka'b (R.A) went towards the palm trees where ibn sayyad was. When ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] went near the tree he hid himself behind a tree with the intention of hearing something from ibn sayyad before ibn sayyad could see him, but ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] saw him on a bed with a blanket around him from which a murmuring sound was being heard and ibn sayyad's mother saw ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] behind the trunk of the palm tree. She said to ibn sayyad: Saf (that being his name), here is Muhammad [S.A.W.S]. Thereupon ibn sayyad jumped up murmuring and ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: If she had left him alone he would have made things clear. Abdullah b. Umar (R.A) told that ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] stood up amongst the people and Lauded ALLAH [S.W.T] as HE deserved, then he made a mention of the dajjal and said: I warn you of him and there is no Prophet (P.B.U.T) who has not warned his people against the dajjal. Even Noah (P.B.U.H) warned (against him) but I am going to tell you a thing which no Prophet (P.B.U.T) told his people. You must know that he (the dajjal) is one-eyed and ALLAH [S.W.T], the EXALTED and GLORIOUS, is not one-eyed. Ibn Shihab (R.A) said: 'Umar b. Thabit al-Ansari (R.A) informed me that some of the Companions (R.A) of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] informed him that the day when ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] warned people against the dajjal, he also said: There would be written between his two eyes (the word) kafir (infidel) and everyone who would resent his deeds would be able to read or every Muslim would be about to read, and he also said: Bear this thing in mind that none amongst you would be able to see ALLAH [S.W.T], the EXALTED and GLORIOUS, until he dies.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 17, Book 41: Pertaining To Turmoil And Portents Of The Last Hour (Kitab Al-Fitan Wa Ashrat As-Sa'Ah), Number 7003:
Nafi' (R.A) reported:
That Ibn 'Umar (R.A) met ibn sayyad on some of the paths of Medina and he said to him a word which enraged him and he was so much swollen with anger that the way was blocked. Ibn 'Umar (R.A) went to Hafsa (R.A) and informed her about this. Thereupon she said: May ALLAH [S.W.T] have Mercy upon you, why did you incite ibn sayyad in spite of the fact that you knew it would be the extreme anger which would make dajjal appear in the world?

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 17, Book 41: Pertaining To Turmoil And Portents Of The Last Hour (Kitab Al-Fitan Wa Ashrat As-Sa'Ah), Number 7009:
Anas b. Malik (R.A) reported:
That ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: dajjal is blind of one eye and there is written between his eyes the word "kafir". He then spelled the word as k.f.r., which every Muslim would be able to read.

I went to Hudhaifa b. Yaman (R.A) and said to him: Narrate what you have heard from ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] pertaining to the dajjal. He said: That the dajjal would appear and there would be along with him water and fire and what the people would see as water that would be fire and that would burn and what would appear as fire that would be water and any one of you who would see that should plunge in that which he sees as fire for it would be sweet, pure water, and 'Uqba (R.A) said: I also heard it, testifying Hudhaifa (R.A).

He would say: I intend to go to this one who is coming forth. They would say to him: Don't you believe in our Lord? He would say: There is nothing hidden about our LORD.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 19, Book 41: Pertaining To Turmoil And Portents Of The Last Hour (Kitab Al-Fitan Wa Ashrat As-Sa'Ah), Number 7020:
Mughira b. Shu'ba (R.A) reported:
No one asked ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] more about dajjal than I asked him. He said: he should not be a source of worry to you for he would not be able to do any harm to you. I said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], it is alleged that he would have along with him (abundance of) food and water. Thereupon he said: he would be very insignificant in the eye of ALLAH [S.W.T] (even) with all this.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 20, Book 41: Pertaining To Turmoil And Portents Of The Last Hour (Kitab Al-Fitan Wa Ashrat As-Sa'Ah), Number 7023:
'Abdullah b. 'Amr (R.A) reported:
That a person came to him and said: What is this hadith that you narrate that the Last Hour would come at such and such time? Thereupon he said: Hallowed be ALLAH [S.W.T], there is no god but ALLAH [S.W.T] (or the words to the same effect). I have decided that I would not narrate anything to anyone now. I had only said that you would see after some time an important event that the (sacred) House (Ka'ba) would be burnt and it would happen and definitely happen. He then reported that ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: The dajjal would appear in my Ummah and he would stay (in the world) for forty−I cannot say whether he meant forty days, forty months or forty years. And ALLAH [S.W.T] would then send Jesus, son of Mary (P.B.U.T) who would resemble 'Urwa b Mas'ud (R.A). He (Jesus Christ (P.B.U.H)) would chase him and kill him. Then people would live for seven years that there would be no ran cour between two persons. Then ALLAH [S.W.T] would send cold wind from the side of Syria that none would survive upon the earth having a speck of good in him or faith in him but he would die, so much so that even if some amongst you were to enter the innermost part of the mountain, this wind would reach that place also and that would cause his death. I heard ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] as saying: Only the wicked people would survive and they would be as careless as birds with the charactertistics of beasts. They would never appreciate the good nor condemn evil. Then the satan would come to them in human form and would say: Don't you respond? And they would say: What do you order us? And he would command them to Worship the idols but, in spite of this, they would have abundance of sustenance and lead comfortable lives. Then the trumpet would be blown and no one would hear that but he would bend his neck to one side and raise it from the other side and the first one to hear that trumpet would be the person who would be busy in setting right the tank meant for providing water to the camels. He would swoon and the other people would also swoon, then ALLAH [S.W.T] would send or HE would cause to send rain which would be like dew and there would grow out of it the bodies of the people. Then the second trumpet would be blown and they would stand up and begin to look (around). Then it would be said: O people, go to your LORD, and make them stand there. And they would be questioned. Then it would be said: Bring out a group (out of them) for the Hell−Fire. And then it would be asked: How much? It would be said: Nine hundred and ninty−nine out of one thousand for the Hell−Fire and that would be the day which would make the children old because of its terror and that would be the day about which it has been said:" On the day when the Shank would be uncovered" (68. 42).

Abu Qatada (R.A) reported:
We used to go to Imran b. Husain (R.A) passing in front of Hisham b. 'Amir (R.A). He, one day, said: You pass by me (in order) to go to some persons but (amongst the living persons) none remained in the company of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] more than I and none knows more Ahadith than I. I heard ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] as saying: There would be no creation (creating more trouble) than the dajjal right from the creation of Adam (P.B.U.H) to the Last Hour.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 23, Book 41: Pertaining To Turmoil And Portents Of The Last Hour (Kitab Al-Fitan Wa Ashrat As-Sa'Ah), Number 7042:

And someone would be setting his tank in order and he would have hardly set it right when the Last Hour would come.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 25, Book 41: Pertaining To Turmoil And Portents Of The Last Hour (Kitab Al-Fitan Wa Ashrat As-Sa'Ah), Number 7055:
Abu Huraira (R.A) reported:
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] as saying: Between the two blowings of the trumpet, (there would be an interval of forty). They said: Abu Huraira (R.A), do you mean forty days? He said: I cannot say anything. They said: Do you mean forty months? He said: I cannot say anything. They said: Do you mean forty years? He said: I cannot say anything. Then ALLAH [S.W.T] would cause the water to, descend from the sky and they (people) will sprout like vegetable. The only thing in a man which would not decay would be one bone (spinal chord) from which the whole frame would be reconstituted on the Day of Resurrection.

Jami' at-Tirmidhi: Chapter 1, Book 4: The Book on the Day of Friday, Hadith 4:
Abu Huraira (R.A) narrated:
"ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: The best day that the sun has risen upon is Friday. On it Adam (P.B.U.H) was created, on it he entered Paradise, and on it, he was sent down from it. And in it there is an hour in which the Muslim worshipper would not stand in Salat, asking ALLAH [S.W.T] for anything except that HE would give it to him.'" Abu Huraira (R.A) said: "I met Abdullah bin Salam (R.A), and I mentioned this Hadith to him. He said: 'I am more knowledgeable about that hour.' So I said: 'Inform me about it, and do not keep any of it from me.' He said: 'It is after al-Asr until the sun has set.' I said: 'How can it be after Al-Asr when ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: 'the Muslim worshipper would not stand in Salat.' And that is a time that prayer is not performed in?" So Abdullah bin Salam (R.A) said: 'Didn't ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] say: "Whoever sat in a gathering awaiting the Salat then he is in Salat"? I said: 'Of course.' He said: 'Then that is it.'"

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 13, Book 32: Virtue, Good Manners And Joining Of The Ties Of Relationship, Number 6246:
Abu Dharr (R.A) reported:
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] as saying that ALLAH [S.W.T], the EXALTED and GLORIOUS, said: MY servants, I have made oppression unlawful for ME and unlawful for you, so do not commit oppression against one another. MY servants, all of you are liable to err except one whom I guide on the right path, so seek right guidance from ME so that I should direct you to the right path. O MY servants, all of you are hungry (needy) except one whom I feed, so beg food from ME, so that I may give that to you. O MY servants, all of you are naked (need clothes) except one whom I provide garments, so beg clothes from ME, so that I should clothe you. O MY servants, you commit error night and day and I am there to pardon your sins, so beg pardon from ME, so that I should grant you pardon. O MY servants, you can neither do ME any harm nor can you do ME any good. O MY servants, even if the first amongst you and the last amongst you and even the whole of human race of yours, and that of jinns even, become (equal in) ALLAH [S.W.T] conscious like the heart of a single person amongst you, nothing would add to MY Power. O MY servants, even if the first amongst you and the last amongst you and the whole human race of yours and that of the jinns too in unison become the most wicked (all beating) like the heart of a single person, it would cause no loss to MY Power. O MY servants, even if the first amongst you and the last amongst you and the whole human race of yours and that of jinns also all stand in one plain ground and you ask ME and I confer upon every person what he asks for, it would not in any way, cause any loss to ME (even less) than that which is caused to the ocean by dipping the needle in it. MY servants, these for you I shall reward you for then, so he who deeds of yours which I am recording finds good should Praise ALLAH and he who does not find that should not blame anyone but his ownself. Sa'id (R.A) said: That when Abu Idris Khaulini (R.A) narrated this hadith he knelt upon his knees.

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 8, Book 75: Invocations, Number 417:

ALLAH [S.W.T]'s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, "ALLAH [S.W.T] has some Angels (P.B.U.T) who look for those who celebrate the Praises of ALLAH [S.W.T] on the roads and paths. And when they find some people celebrating the Praises of ALLAH [S.W.T], they call each other, saying, "Come to the object of your pursuit.'" He added, "Then the Angels (P.B.U.T) encircle them with their wings up to the sky of the world." He added. "(after those people celebrated the Praises of ALLAH [S.W.T], and the Angels (P.B.U.T) go back), their LORD, asks them (those Angels (P.B.U.T)) - though HE knows better than them----'What do MY slaves say?' The Angels (P.B.U.T) reply, 'they say: Subhan ALLAH, ALLAHU Akbar, and Alham-du-lillah, ALLAH [S.W.T] then says 'Did they see ME?' The Angels (P.B.U.T) reply, 'No! By ALLAH [S.W.T], they didn't see YOU.' ALLAH [S.W.T] says, How it would have been if they saw ME?' The Angels (P.B.U.T) reply, 'If they saw YOU, they would Worship YOU more devoutly and celebrate YOUR Glory more deeply, and declare YOUR freedom from any resemblance to anything more often.' ALLAH [S.W.T] says (to the Angels (P.B.U.T)), 'What do they ask ME for?' The Angels (P.B.U.T) reply, 'They ask YOU for Paradise.' ALLAH [S.W.T] says (to the Angels (P.B.U.T)), 'Did they see it?' The Angels (P.B.U.T) say, 'No! By ALLAH [S.W.T], O LORD! They did not see it.' ALLAH [S.W.T] says, How it would have been if they saw it?' The Angels (P.B.U.T) say, 'If they saw it, they would have greater covetousness for it and would seek it with greater zeal and would have greater desire for it.' ALLAH [S.W.T] says, 'From what do they seek refuge?' The Angels (P.B.U.T) reply, 'They seek refuge from the (Hell) Fire.' ALLAH [S.W.T] says, 'Did they see it?' The Angels (P.B.U.T) say, 'No! By ALLAH [S.W.T], O LORD! They did not see it.' ALLAH [S.W.T] says, How it would have been if they saw it?' The Angels (P.B.U.T) say, 'If they saw it they would flee from it with the extreme fleeing and would have extreme fear from it.' Then ALLAH [S.W.T] says, 'I make you witnesses that I have Forgiven them."' ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] added, "One of the Angels (P.B.U.T) would say, 'There was so-and-so amongst them, and he was not one of them, but he had just come for some need.' ALLAH [S.W.T] would say, 'These are those people whose companions will not be reduced to misery.'"

And the most beloved things with which MY slave comes nearer to ME, is what I have enjoined upon him; and MY slave keeps on coming closer to ME through performing Nawafil (praying or doing extra deeds besides what is obligatory) till I love him, so I become his sense of hearing with which he hears, and his sense of sight with which he sees, and his hand with which he grips, and his leg with which he walks; and if he asks ME, I will give him, and if he asks MY Protection (Refuge), I will Protect him; (i.e. give him MY Refuge) and I do not hesitate to do anything as I hesitate to take the soul of the believer, for he hates death, and I hate to disappoint him."

If he remembers ME in himself, I too, remember him in MYSELF; and if he remembers ME in a group of people, I remember him in a group that is better than they; and if he comes one span nearer to ME, I go one cubit nearer to him; and if he comes one cubit nearer to ME, I go a distance of two outstretched arms nearer to him; and if he comes to ME walking, I go to him running.'"

The people of the Torah were given the Torah and they acted on it till midday and then they were unable to carry on. And they were given (a reward equal to) one Qirat each. Then the people of the Gospel were given the Gospel and they acted on it till 'Asr Prayer and then they were unable to carry on, so they were given a reward equal to) one Qirat each. Then you were given the Qur'an and you acted on it till sunset, therefore you were given (a reward equal to) two Qirats each. On that, the people of the Scriptures said, 'These people (Muslims) did less work than we but they took a bigger reward.' ALLAH [S.W.T] said (to them). 'Have I done any oppression to you as regards your rights?' They said, "No." Then ALLAH [S.W.T] said, 'That is MY Blessing which I grant to whomsoever I Will.'"

The Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] observed: You shall not enter Paradise so long as you do not affirm belief (in all those things which are the articles of faith) and you will not believe as long as you do not love one another. Narrated Ibn 'Umar (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said: Islam is based on (the following) five (principles):

2. To offer the (compulsory congregational) Prayers dutifully and perfectly.

Then he further asked, "What is Islam?" ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] replied, "To Worship ALLAH [S.W.T] Alone and none else, to offer prayers perfectly to pay the compulsory charity (Zakat) and to observe fasts during the month of Ramadan." Then he further asked, "What is Ihsan (perfection)?" ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] replied, "To Worship ALLAH [S.W.T] as if you see HIM, and if you cannot achieve this state of devotion then you must consider that HE is looking at you." Then he further asked, "When will the Hour be established?" ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] replied, "The answerer has no better knowledge than the questioner. But I will inform you about its portents.
1. When a slave (lady) gives birth to her master.
2. When the shepherds of black camels start boasting and competing with others in the construction of higher buildings. And the Hour is one of five things which nobody knows except ALLAH [S.W.T]. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] then recited: "Verily, with ALLAH (Alone) is the Knowledge of the Hour--." (31.34) Then that man (Gabriel (P.B.U.H)) left and the Prophet [S.A.W.S] asked his companions (R.A) to call him back, but they could not see him. Then the Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "That was Gabriel (P.B.U.H) who came to teach the people their religion." 'Uqba b. 'Amir (R.A) reported:
We were entrusted with the task of tending the camels. On my turn when I came back in the evening after grazing them in the pastures, I found ALLAH [S.W.T]'s Messenger [S.A.W.S] stand and address the people. I heard these words of his: If any Muslim performs ablution well, then stands and prays two rak'ahs setting about them with his heart as well as his face, Paradise would be guaranteed to him. I said: What a fine thing is this! And a narrator who was before me said: The first was better than even this. When I cast a glance, I saw that it was 'Umar (R.A) who said: I see that you have just come and observed: If anyone amongst you performs the ablution, and then completes the ablution well and then says: I testify that there is no god but ALLAH and that Muhammad [S.A.W.S] is the servant of ALLAH and HIS Messenger, the eight gates of Paradise would be opened for him and he may enter by whichever of them he wishes.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 131, Book 4: Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat), Number 1756:

When we were in Suffa, the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] came out and said: Which of you would like to go out every morning to Buthan or al-’Aqiq and bring two large she camels without being guilty of sin or without severing the ties of kinship? We said: Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S], we would like to do it. Upon this he said: Does not one of you go out in the morning to the Mosque and teach or recite two verses from the Book of ALLAH [S.W.T], the MAJESTIC and GLORIOUS? That is better for him than two she camels, and three verses are better (than three she camels), and four verses are better for him than four (she camels), and to on their number in camels.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 132, Book 4: Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat), Number 1757:
Abu Umama (R.A) said he heard:
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] say: Recite the Qur’an, for on the Day of Resurrection it will come as an intercessor for those who recite It. Recite the two bright ones, Surah al-Baqara and Surah Al ‘Imran, for on the Day of Resurrection they will come as two clouds or two shades, or two flocks of birds in ranks, pleading for those who recite them. Recite Surah al-Baqara, for to take recourse to it is a blessing and to give it up is a cause of grief, and the magicians cannot confront it. (Mu’awiya (R.A) said: It has been conveyed to me that here Batala means magicians.)

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 133, Book 4: Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat), Number 1760:

Then when an Angel (P.B.U.H) descended through it, he said: This is an Angel (P.B.U.H) who came down to the earth who had never come down before. He greeted and said: Rejoice in two lights given to you which have not been given to any Prophet (P.B.U.T) before you: Falihat al-Kitab (1.1-7) and the concluding verses of Suarah al-Baqara (2.286). You will never recite a letter from them for which you will not be given (a reward).

I said: ALLAH [S.W.T] and HIS Apostle [S.A.W.S] know best. He again said: Abu’l-Mundhir (R.A), do you know the verse from the Book of ALLAH [S.W.T] which, according to you, is the greatest? I said: "ALLAH, there is no god but HE, the LIVING, the ETERNAL." (Ayat Al-Kursi (2.255)) Thereupon he struck me on my breast and said: May knowledge be pleasant for you, O Abu’l-Mundhir (R.A)!

I said, "I was praying." He said, "Didn't ALLAH [S.W.T] said":- "O you who believe, give your response to ALLAH (by obeying HIM) and to HIS Apostle." (8.24) Then he added, "Shall I tell you the most superior Sura in the Qur'an before I go out of the Mosque?" When the Prophet [S.A.W.S] intended to go out (of the Mosque), I reminded him and he said, "That is: "Alhamdu-lillahi Rabbil-'Alamin (Surat-al-Fatiha)" which is the seven oft repeated verses (Al-Mathani) and the Grand Qur’an which has been given to me."

ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, "By HIM in WHOSE Hand my life is, it is equal to one-third of the Qur’an."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 93: Oneness, Uniqueness of ALLAH [S.W.T] (Tawheed), Number 472:

(112.1) When they returned (from the battle), they mentioned that to the Prophet [S.A.W.S]. He said (to them), "Ask him why he does so." They asked him and he said, "I do so because it mentions the Qualities of the BENEFICENT and I love to recite it (in my prayer)." The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said (to them), "Tell him that ALLAH [S.W.T] loves him."

When you do ten things ALLAH [S.W.T] will forgive your sins: of the future and of the past; new and old; those you have forgotten and those you did knowingly; big and small; hidden and revealed. Then Prophet [S.A.W.S] explained the taught the way to pray Salatul Tasbih and then said if you can pray this salah once a day, if you can not pray once a day then every Friday, and even if this is not possible then once a month and even if this is not possible then once a year and even if this is not possible then at least once in a lifetime.

The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "Shall I not tell you a thing upon which if you acted you would catch up with those who have surpassed you? Nobody would overtake you and you would be better than the people amongst whom you live except those who would do the same. Say, "Subhan-ALLAH", "Alhamdu-lillah" and "ALLAHU Akbar" thirty three times each after every (compulsory) prayer." We differed and some of us said that we should say, "Subhan-ALLAH" thirty three times and "Alhamdu lillah" thirty three times and "ALLAHU Akbar" thirty four times. I went to the Prophet [S.A.W.S] who said, "Say, "Subhan-ALLAH" and "Alhamdu-lillah" and "ALLAHU Akbar" all together for thirty three times."

When I was going to get up, he said, "'Stay in your places," and sat between us, till I felt the coolness of the feet on my chest. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] then said, "Shall I not tell you of a thing which is better for you than a servant? When you (both) go to your beds, say 'ALLAHU Akbar' thirty-four times, and 'Subhan ALLAH' thirty-three times, 'Alhamdu 'illah' thirty-three times, for that is better for you than a servant." Ibn Sirin (R.A) said, "Subhan ALLAH' (is to be said for) thirty-four times."

They observe prayer as we do; they keep the fasts as we keep, and they give sadaqa out of their surplus riches. Upon this he (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) said: Has ALLAH [S.W.T] not prescribed for you (a course) by following which you can (also) do sadaqa? In every declaration of the Glorification of ALLAH [S.W.T] (i.e. saying Subhan ALLAH) there is a sadaqa, and every Takbir (i.e. saying ALLAHU Akbar) is a sadaqa, and every Praise of HIS (saying al-Hamdu Lillah) is a sadaqa and every declaration that HE is ONE (La illha ill-ALLAH) is a sadaqa, and enjoining of good is a sadaqa, and forbidding of that which is evil is a sadaqa, and in man's sexual intercourse (with his wife,) there is a sadaqa. They (the Companions (R.A)) said: Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S], is there reward for him who satisfies his sexual passion among us?  Verily the Apostle of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] recited the words of ALLAH [S.W.T], the GREAT and GLORIOUS, that Ibrahim (P.B.U.H) uttered. My LORD! Lo! They have led many of mankind astray:" But whoso followeth me, he verily is of me" (al-Qur'an, 14.36) and Jesus (P.B.U.H) said:" If THOU punisheth them, Lo! They are THY slaves, and if THOU forgiveth them-verily THOU art the MIGHTY, the WISE" (al-Qur'an, 5.118). Then he raised his hands and said: O LORD, my Ummah, my Ummah, and wept; so ALLAH [S.W.T] the HIGH and the EXALTED said: O Gabriel (P.B.U.H), go to Muhammad [S.A.W.S] (Though your LORD knows it fully well) and ask him: What makes thee weep? So Gabriel (P.B.U.H) came to him and asked him, and the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] informed him what he had said (Though ALLAH [S.W.T] knew it fully well). Upon this ALLAH [S.W.T] said: O Gabriel (P.B.U.H), go to Muhammad [S.A.W.S] and say: Verily WE will please thee with regard to your Ummah and would not displease thee.

2. A slave who discharges his duties to ALLAH [S.W.T] and his master.

Anas b. Malik (R.A) said:
The Apostle of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] said: I would be the first intercessor in the Paradise and no Apostle amongst the Apostles (P.B.U.T) has been testified (by such a large number of people) as I have been testified. And verily there would be an Apostle (P.B.U.H) among the Apostles (P.B.U.T) who would be testified to by only one man from his people.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 84, Book 1: Faith (Kitab Al Iman), Number 0384:
Anas b. Malik (R.A) reported:
The Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] said: I will come to the gate of Paradise on the Day of Resurrection and would seek its opening and the Keeper (P.B.U.H) would say: Who art thou?  ALLAH [S.W.T]'s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, "My similitude in comparison with the other Prophets (P.B.U.T) before me, is that of a man who has built a house nicely and beautifully, except for a place of one brick in a corner. Sahih Bukhari: Volume 5, Book 57: Companions (R.A) of The Prophet [S.A.W.S], Number 37:
Narrated Anas (R.A):
A man asked the Prophet [S.A.W.S] about the Hour (i.e. Day of Judgment) saying, "When will the Hour be?" The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "What have you prepared for it?" The man said, "Nothing, except that I love ALLAH [S.W.T] and HIS Apostle [S.A.W.S]." The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "You will be with those whom you love." We had never been so glad as we were on hearing that saying of the Prophet [S.A.W.S] (i.e. "You will be with those whom you love.") Therefore, I love the Prophet [S.A.W.S], Abu Bakr and 'Umar (R.A), and I hope that I will be with them because of my love for them though my deeds are not similar to theirs.

I have thought that none will ask me about this Hadith before you, as I know your longing for the (learning of) Hadiths. The luckiest person who will have my intercession on the Day of Resurrection will be the one who said, 'None has the right to be Worshiped but ALLAH,' sincerely from the bottom of his heart."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 2, Book 22: Actions while Praying, Number 294:

Assalamu 'Alaika aiyuha-n-Nabiyu wa-rahmatu-l-lahi wa-barakatuhu. Assalamu alaina wa-'ala 'ibadi-l-lahi as-salihin. Ashhadu an la ilaha illa-l-lah wa ashhadu anna Muhammad an 'abdu hu wa Rasuluh. (All the Compliments are for ALLAH and all the Prayers and all the Good things (are for ALLAH). Peace be on you, O Prophet, and ALLAH's Mercy and Blessings (are on you). And Peace be on us and on the good (pious) worshipers of ALLAH. I testify that none has the right to be Worshiped but ALLAH and that Muhammad is HIS slave and Apostle.) I said, "We asked ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] saying, 'O ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S]! How should one (ask ALLAH [S.W.T] to) send blessings on you, the members of the family, for ALLAH [S.W.T] has taught us how to salute you (in the prayer)?' He said, 'Say: O ALLAH! Send YOUR Mercy on Muhammad and on the family of Muhammad, as YOU sent YOUR Mercy on Abraham and on the family of Abraham, for YOU are the MOST PRAISEWORTHY, the MOST GLORIOUS. O ALLAH! The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "Your mother." The man said. "Who is next?" The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "Your mother." The man further said, "Who is next?" The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "Your mother." It is (exclusively) meant for ME and I (Alone) will reward it. Fasting is a shield. When any one of you is fasting on a day, he should neither indulge in obscene language, nor raise the voice; or if anyone reviles him or tries to quarrel with him he should say: I am a person fasting. By HIM, in WHOSE Hand is the life of Muhammad [S.A.W.S], the breath of the observer of fast is sweeter to ALLAH [S.W.T] on the Day of Judgment than the fragrance of musk. The one who fasts has two (occasions) of joy, one when he breaks the fast he is glad with the breaking of (the fast) and one when he meets his LORD he is glad with his fast.

He then recited this verse: "They forsake (their) beds, calling upon their LORD in fear and in hope, and spend out of what WE have given them. (Next to him) is a man who lives with his sheep at a hill-top or in a valley, says his prayers regularly, gives Zakat and Worships his LORD until death comes to him.

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 52: Fighting for the Cause of ALLAH [S.W.T] (Jihaad), Number 48:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "Whoever believes in ALLAH [S.W.T] and HIS Apostle [S.A.W.S], offer prayer perfectly and fasts the month of Ramadan, will rightfully be granted Paradise by ALLAH [S.W.T], no matter whether he fights in ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Cause or remains in the land where he is born." The people said, "O ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S]! Shall we acquaint the people with this good news?" He said, "Paradise has one-hundred grades which ALLAH [S.W.T] has reserved for the Mujahidin who fight in HIS Cause, and the distance between each of two grades is like the distance between the Heaven and the Earth. So, when you ask ALLAH [S.W.T] (for something), ask for Al-Firdaus which is the best and highest part of Paradise." (i.e. the sub-narrator added, "I think the Prophet [S.A.W.S] also said, 'Above it (i.e. Al-Firdaus) is the Throne of BENEFICENT (i.e. ALLAH [S.W.T]), and from it originate the rivers of Paradise.")

HE (ALLAH [S.W.T]) said: The person who would be admitted into Paradise last of all among those deserving of Paradise who are admitted to it. I would be said to him: Enter Paradise. He would say: O my LORD! How (should I enter) while the people have settled in their apartments and taken the shares (portions)? It would be said to him: Would you be pleased if there be for you like the kingdom of a king amongst the kings of the world? He would say: I am pleased my LORD. HE (ALLAH [S.W.T]) would say: For you is that, and like that, and like that, and like that, and that. He would say at the fifth (point): I am well pleased, my LORD. HE (ALLAH [S.W.T]) would say: It is for you and ten times like it, and for you is what your self desires and your eye enjoys. He would say: I am well pleased, my LORD. He (Moses (P.B.U.H)) said: (Which is) the highest of their (inhabitants of Paradise) ranks? HE (ALLAH [S.W.T]) said: They are those Whom I choose. I establish their Honor with MY OWN Hand and then set a seal over it (and they would be Blessed with Bounties) which no eye has seen, no ear has heard and no human mind has perceived: and this is substantiated by the Book of ALLAH [S.W.T], the EXALTED and GREAT: "So no soul knows what delight of the eye is hidden for them; a reward for what they did" (32.17).

(3) None knows when it will rain, but ALLAH [S.W.T];

He will reply, 'yes, but I like to cultivate the land (ALLAH [S.W.T] will permit him and) he will sow the seeds, and within seconds the plants will grow and ripen and (the yield) will be harvested and piled in heaps like mountains. On that ALLAH [S.W.T] will say (to him), "Take, here you are, O son of Adam (P.B.U.H), for nothing satisfies you.' "On that the Bedouin said, "O ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S]! Such man must be either from Quraish or from Ansar, for they are farmers while we are not." On that ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] smiled."
