Selected Hadith Regarding Might, Favor and Remembrance of ALLAH [S.W.T]

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 13, Book 32: Virtue, Good Manners And Joining Of The Ties Of Relationship, Number 6246:
Abu Dharr (R.A) reported:
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] as saying that ALLAH [S.W.T], the EXALTED and GLORIOUS, said: MY servants, I have made oppression unlawful for ME and unlawful for you, so do not commit oppression against one another. MY servants, all of you are liable to err except one whom I guide on the right path, so seek right guidance from ME so that I should direct you to the right path. O MY servants, all of you are hungry (needy) except one whom I feed, so beg food from ME, so that I may give that to you. O MY servants, all of you are naked (need clothes) except one whom I provide garments, so beg clothes from ME, so that I should clothe you. O MY servants, you commit error night and day and I am there to pardon your sins, so beg pardon from ME, so that I should grant you pardon. O MY servants, you can neither do ME any harm nor can you do ME any good. O MY servants, even if the first amongst you and the last amongst you and even the whole of human race of yours, and that of jinns even, become (equal in) ALLAH [S.W.T] conscious like the heart of a single person amongst you, nothing would add to MY Power. O MY servants, even if the first amongst you and the last amongst you and the whole human race of yours and that of the jinns too in unison become the most wicked (all beating) like the heart of a single person, it would cause no loss to MY Power. O MY servants, even if the first amongst you and the last amongst you and the whole human race of yours and that of jinns also all stand in one plain ground and you ask ME and I confer upon every person what he asks for, it would not in any way, cause any loss to ME (even less) than that which is caused to the ocean by dipping the needle in it. MY servants, these for you I shall reward you for then, so he who deeds of yours which I am recording finds good should Praise ALLAH and he who does not find that should not blame anyone but his ownself. Sa'id (R.A) said: That when Abu Idris Khaulini (R.A) narrated this hadith he knelt upon his knees.

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 2: Belief, Number 20:
Narrated Anas (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "Whoever possesses the following three qualities will taste the sweetness of faith:
1. The one to whom ALLAH [S.W.T] and HIS Apostle [S.A.W.S) become dearer than anything else.
2. Who loves a person and he loves him Only for ALLAH [S.W.T]'s Sake.
3. Who hates to revert to disbelief (atheism) after ALLAH [S.W.T] has brought (saved) him out from it, as he hates to be thrown in Fire."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 2: Belief, Number 47:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
One day while the Prophet [S.A.W.S] was sitting in the company of some people, (The Angel) Gabriel (P.B.U.H) came and asked, "What is faith?" ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] replied, 'Faith is to believe in ALLAH [S.W.T], HIS Angels (P.B.U.T), (the) meeting with HIM, HIS Apostles (P.B.U.T), and to believe in Resurrection." Then he further asked, "What is Islam?" ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] replied, "To Worship ALLAH [S.W.T] Alone and none else, to offer prayers perfectly to pay the compulsory charity (Zakat) and to observe fasts during the month of Ramadan." Then he further asked, "What is Ihsan (perfection)?" ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] replied, "To Worship ALLAH [S.W.T] as if you see HIM, and if you cannot achieve this state of devotion then you must consider that HE is looking at you." Then he further asked, "When will the Hour be established?" ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] replied, "The answerer has no better knowledge than the questioner. But I will inform you about its portents.
1. When a slave (lady) gives birth to her master.
2. When the shepherds of black camels start boasting and competing with others in the construction of higher buildings. And the Hour is one of five things which nobody knows except ALLAH [S.W.T]. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] then recited: "Verily, with ALLAH (Alone) is the Knowledge of the Hour--." (31.14) Then that man (Gabriel (P.B.U.H)) left and the Prophet [S.A.W.S] asked his companions (R.A) to call him back, but they could not see him. Then the Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "That was Gabriel (P.B.U.H) who came to teach the people their religion." Abu 'Abdullah (R.A) said: He (the Prophet [S.A.W.S]) considered all that as a part of faith.

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 2: Belief, Number 7:
Narrated Ibn 'Umar (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said: Islam is based on (the following) five (principles):
1. To testify that none has the right to be Worshiped but ALLAH [S.W.T] and Muhammad [S.A.W.S] is ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle.
2. To offer the (compulsory congregational) Prayers dutifully and perfectly.

The two persons kept on standing before ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] for a while and then one of them found a place in the circle and sat there while the other sat behind the gathering, and the third one went away. When ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] finished his preaching, he said, "Shall I tell you about these three persons? One of them be-took himself to ALLAH [S.W.T], so ALLAH [S.W.T] took him into HIS Grace and Mercy and accommodated him, the second felt shy from ALLAH [S.W.T], so ALLAH [S.W.T] sheltered him in HIS Mercy (and did not punish him), while the third turned his face from ALLAH [S.W.T] and went away, so ALLAH [S.W.T] turned HIS face from him likewise."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 11: Call to Prayers (Adhaan), Number 620:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, "The reward of the prayer offered by a person in congregation is twenty five times greater than that of the prayer offered in one's house or in the market (alone). And this is because if he performs ablution and does it perfectly and then proceeds to the Mosque with the sole intention of praying, then for every step he takes towards the Mosque, he is upgraded one degree in reward and his one sin is taken off (crossed out) from his accounts (of deeds). When he offers his prayer, the Angels (P.B.U.T) keep on asking ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Blessings and ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Forgiveness for him as long as he is (staying) at his Musalla. They say, 'O ALLAH! Bestow YOUR Blessings upon him, be Merciful and Kind to him.' And one is regarded in prayer as long as one is waiting for the prayer."

The people replied, "ALLAH [S.W.T] and HIS Apostle [S.A.W.S] know better." He said, "ALLAH [S.W.T] has said, 'In this morning some of my slaves remained as true believers and some became non-believers; whoever said that the rain was due to the Blessings and the Mercy of ALLAH [S.W.T] had belief in ME and he disbelieves in the stars, and whoever said that it rained because of a particular star had no belief in ME but believes in that star.'"

As for his slighting ME, it is that he says that I have a son; and his disbelief in ME is his statement that I shall not recreate him as I have created (him) before."

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 54: Beginning of Creation, Number 416:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):

He said, "It goes (i.e. travels) till it prostrates itself underneath the Throne and takes the permission to rise again, and it is permitted and then (a time will come when) it will be about to prostrate itself but its prostration will not be accepted, and it will ask permission to go on its course but it will not be permitted, but it will be ordered to return whence it has come and so it will rise in the west. And that is the interpretation of the Statement of ALLAH [S.W.T]: "And the sun runs its fixed course for a term (decreed). That is The Decree of (ALLAH) The EXALTED IN MIGHT, The ALL-KNOWING." A golden tray full of wisdom and belief was brought to me and my body was cut open from the throat to the lower part of the abdomen and then my abdomen was washed with Zam-zam water and (my heart was) filled with wisdom and belief. Al-Buraq, a white animal, smaller than a mule and bigger than a donkey was brought to me and I set out with Gabriel (P.B.U.H). When I reached the nearest heaven. Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said to the heaven gate-keeper, 'Open the gate.' The gatekeeper asked, 'Who is it?' He said, 'Gabriel.' The gate-keeper,' Who is accompanying you?' Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said, 'Muhammad [S.A.W.S].' The gate-keeper said, 'Has he been called?' Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said, 'Yes.' Then it was said, 'He is welcomed. What a wonderful visit his is!' Then I met Adam (P.B.U.H) and greeted him and he said, 'You are welcomed O son and a Prophet.' Then we ascended to the second heaven. It was asked, 'Who is it?' Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said, 'Gabriel.' It was said, 'Who is with you?' He said, 'Muhammad [S.A.W.S]' It was asked, 'Has he been sent for?' He said, 'Yes.' It was said, 'He is welcomed. What a wonderful visit his is!" Then I met Jesus and Yahya (John) (P.B.U.T) who said, 'You are welcomed, O brother and a Prophet.' Then we ascended to the third heaven. It was asked, 'Who is it?' Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said, 'Gabriel.' It was asked, 'Who is with you? Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said, 'Muhammad [S.A.W.S].' It was asked, 'Has he been sent for?' 'Yes,' said Gabriel (P.B.U.H). 'He is welcomed. What a wonderful visit his is!' (The Prophet [S.A.W.S] added:) There I met Joseph (P.B.U.H) and greeted him, and he replied, 'You are welcomed, O brother and a Prophet!' Then we ascended to the 4th heaven and again the same questions and answers were exchanged as in the previous heavens. There I met Idris (P.B.U.H) and greeted him. He said, 'You are welcomed O brother and Prophet.' Then we ascended to the 5th heaven and again the same questions and answers were exchanged as in previous heavens there I met and greeted Aaron (P.B.U.H) who said, 'You are welcomed O brother and a Prophet". Then we ascended to the 6th heaven and again the same questions and answers were exchanged as in the previous heavens. There I met and greeted Moses (P.B.U.H) who said, 'You are welcomed O brother and a Prophet.' When I proceeded on, he started weeping and on being asked why he was weeping, he said, 'O LORD! Followers of this youth who was sent after me will enter Paradise in greater number than my followers.' Then we ascended to the seventh heaven and again the same questions and answers were exchanged as in the previous heavens. There I met and greeted Abraham (P.B.U.H) who said, 'You are welcomed o son and a Prophet.' Then I was shown Al-Bait-al-Ma'mur (i.e. ALLAH [S.W.T]’s House). I asked Gabriel (P.B.U.H) about it and he said, This is Al Bait-ul-Ma'mur where 70,000 Angels (P.B.U.T) perform prayers daily and when they leave they never return to it (but always a fresh batch comes into it daily).' Then I was shown Sidrat-ul-Muntaha (i.e. a tree in the seventh heaven) and I saw its Nabk fruits which resembled the clay jugs of Hajr (i.e. a town in Arabia), and its leaves were like the ears of elephants, and four rivers originated at its root, two of them were apparent and two were hidden. I asked Gabriel (P.B.U.H) about those rivers and he said, 'The two hidden rivers are in Paradise, and the apparent ones are the Nile and the Euphrates.' Then fifty prayers were enjoined on me. I descended till I met Moses (P.B.U.H) who asked me, 'What have you done?' I said, 'Fifty prayers have been enjoined on me.' He said, 'I know the people better than you, because I had the hardest experience to bring Bani Israel to obedience. Your followers cannot put up with such obligation. So, return to your LORD and request HIM (to reduce the number of prayers.' I returned and requested ALLAH [S.W.T] (for reduction) and HE made it forty. I returned and (met Moses (P.B.U.H)) and had a similar discussion, and then returned again to ALLAH [S.W.T] for reduction and HE made it thirty, then twenty, then ten, and then I came to Moses (P.B.U.H) who repeated the same advice. Ultimately ALLAH [S.W.T] reduced it to five. When I came to Moses (P.B.U.H) again, he said, 'What have you done?' I said, 'ALLAH [S.W.T] has made it five only.' He repeated the same advice but I said that I surrendered (to ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Final Order)'" ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] was addressed by ALLAH [S.W.T], "I have decreed MY Obligation and have reduced the burden on MY slaves, and I shall reward a single good deed as if it were ten good deeds."

Then ALLAH [S.W.T] sends an Angel (P.B.U.H) who is ordered to write four things. He is ordered to write down his (i.e. the new creature's) deeds, his livelihood, his (date of) death, and whether he will be Blessed or wretched (in religion). Then the soul is breathed into him. So, a man amongst you may do (good deeds till there is only a cubit between him and Paradise and then what has been written for him decides his behavior and he starts doing (evil) deeds characteristic of the people of the (Hell) Fire. And similarly a man amongst you may do (evil) deeds till there is only a cubit between him and the (Hell) Fire, and then what has been written for him decides his behavior, and he starts doing deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise."

Then those who have stayed with you over-night, ascent unto ALLAH [S.W.T] WHO asks them, and HE knows the answer better than they, "How have you left MY slaves?" They reply, "We have left them praying as we found them praying." Their hearts will be as if the heart of a single man, for they will have neither enmity nor jealousy amongst themselves; everyone will have two wives from the houris, (who will be so beautiful, pure and transparent that) the marrow of the bones of their legs will be seen through the bones and the flesh."

On that the people said, "O ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S]! Are these lofty mansions for the Prophets (P.B.U.T) which nobody else can reach? The Prophet [S.A.W.S] replied," No! Narrated Muhammad bin Sirin (R.A): Abu Huraira (R.A) said, "ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] put me in charge of the Zakat of Ramadan (i.e. Zakat-ul-Fitr). Someone came to me and started scooping some of the foodstuff of (Zakat) with both hands. I caught him and told him that I would take him to ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S]." Then Abu Huraira (R.A) told the whole narration and added "He (i.e. the thief) said, 'Whenever you go to your bed, recite the Verse of "Al-Kursi" (2.255) for then a Guardian (P.B.U.H) from ALLAH [S.W.T] will be guarding you, and satan will not approach you till dawn.'" So, Adam (P.B.U.H) said (to the Angels (P.B.U.T)), As-Salamu Alaikum (i.e. Peace be upon you). The Angels (P.B.U.T) said, "As-salamu Alaika wa Rahmatu-l-lahi" (i.e. Peace and ALLAH's Mercy be upon you). Thus the Angels (P.B.U.T) added to Adam's salutation the expression, 'Wa Rahmatu-l-lahi,' any person who will enter Paradise will resemble Adam (P.B.U.H) (in appearance and figure). People have been decreasing in stature since Adam (P.B.U.H)'s creation.

ALLAH [S.W.T] will say: 'Bring out the people of the fire.' Adam (P.B.U.H) will say: 'O ALLAH [S.W.T]! How many are the people of the Fire?' ALLAH [S.W.T] will reply: 'From every one thousand, take out nine-hundred-and ninety-nine.' At that time children will become hoary headed, every pregnant female will have a miscarriage, and one will see mankind as drunken, yet they will not be drunken, but dreadful will be the Wrath of ALLAH [S.W.T]." The companions (R.A) of the Prophet [S.A.W.S] asked, "O ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S]! Who is that (excepted) one?" He said, "Rejoice with glad tidings; one person will be from you and one-thousand will be from Gog and Magog." The Prophet [S.A.W.S] further said, "By HIM in WHOSE Hands my life is, hope that you will be one-fourth of the people of Paradise." We shouted, "ALLAHU Akbar!" (21.104) He added, "The first to be dressed on the Day of Resurrection, will be Abraham (P.B.U.H), and some of my companions will be taken towards the left side (i.e. to the (Hell) Fire), and I will say: 'My companions! My companions!' It will be said: 'They renegade from Islam after you left them.' Then I will say as the Pious slave of ALLAH [S.W.T] (i.e. Jesus (P.B.U.H)) said: 'And I was a witness over them while I dwelt amongst them. When YOU took me up YOU were the WATCHER over them, and YOU are a Witness to all things. If YOU punish them. Money will be in abundance so that nobody will accept it, and a single prostration to ALLAH [S.W.T] (in prayer) will be better than the whole world and whatever is in it." Abu Huraira (R.A) added "If you wish, you can recite (this verse of the Holy Book): -- 'And there is none of the people of the Scriptures (Jews and Christians) But must believe in him (i.e. Jesus) as an Apostle of ALLAH and a human being) before his death. The man said, "Nothing, except that I love ALLAH [S.W.T] and HIS Apostle [S.A.W.S]." The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "You will be with those whom you love." We had never been so glad as we were on hearing that saying of the Prophet [S.A.W.S] (i.e., "You will be with those whom you love.") Therefore, I love the Prophet [S.A.W.S], Abu Bakr and 'Umar (R.A), and I hope that I will be with them because of my love for them though my deeds are not similar to theirs.

Then ALLAH [S.W.T] will say (to Noah (P.B.U.H)), 'Who will bear witness in your favor?' He will say, 'Muhammad [S.A.W.S] and his followers. So they (i.e. Muslims) will testify that he conveyed the Message. And the Apostle (Muhammad [S.A.W.S]) will be a witness over yourselves, and that is what is meant by the Statement of ALLAH [S.W.T] "Thus WE have made of you a just and the best nation that you may be witnesses over mankind and the Apostle (Muhammad [S.A.W.S]) will be a witness over yourselves." "Then the Prophet [S.A.W.S] entered his house without telling his companions (R.A) who they (the 70,000) were. So the people started talking about the issue and said, "It is we who have believed in ALLAH [S.W.T] and followed HIS Apostle [S.A.W.S]; therefore those people are either ourselves or our children who are born in the Islamic era, for we were born in the Pre-Islamic Period of Ignorance.'' When the Prophet [S.A.W.S] heard of that, he came out and said. "Those people are those who do not treat themselves with Ruqya, nor do they believe in bad or good omen (from birds etc.) nor do they get themselves branded (Cauterized) but they put their trust (Only) in their LORD " On that 'Ukasha bin Muhsin (R.A) said. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] added, "As for Paradise, (it will be filled with good people) because ALLAH [S.W.T] does not wrong any of HIS Created things, and HE creates for Hell (Fire) whomever HE will, and they will be thrown into it, and it will say thrice, 'Is there any more, till ALLAH [S.W.T] (will put) HIS Foot over it and it will become full and its sides will come close to each other and it will say, 'Qat! Then the people of the Gospel were given the Gospel and they acted on it till 'Asr Prayer and then they were unable to carry on, so they were given a reward equal to) one Qirat each. Then you were given the Qur'an and you acted on it till sunset, therefore you were given (a reward equal to) two Qirats each. On that, the people of the Scriptures said, 'These people (Muslims) did less work than we but they took a bigger reward.' ALLAH [S.W.T] said (to them). 'Have I done any oppression to you as regards your rights?' They said, "No." Then ALLAH [S.W.T] said, 'That is MY Blessing which I grant to whomsoever I Will.'"

Sahih Muslim, Chapter 75, Book 1: Faith (Kitab Al Iman), Number 0309:
It is narrated on the authority of Anas b. Malik (R.A):
That the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] said: I was brought al-Buraq; Who is an animal white and long, larger than a donkey but smaller than a mule, who would place his hoof a distance equal to the range of vision. I mounted it and came to the Temple (Bait Maqdis in Jerusalem), then tethered it to the ring used by the Prophets (P.B.U.T). I entered the Mosque and prayed two rak'ahs in it, and then came out and Gabriel (P.B.U.H) brought me a vessel of wine and a vessel of milk. I chose the milk, and Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said: You have chosen the natural thing. Then he took me to heaven. Gabriel (P.B.U.H) then asked the (gate of heaven) to be opened and he was asked who he was. He replied: Gabriel (P.B.U.H). He was again asked: Who is with you? He (Gabriel (P.B.U.H)) said: Muhammad [S.A.W.S]. It was said: Has he been sent for? Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied: He has indeed been sent for. And (the door of the heaven) was opened for us, and Lo! We saw Adam (P.B.U.H). He welcomed me and prayed for my good. Then we ascended to the second heaven. Gabriel (P.B.U.H) (asked the door of heaven to be opened), and he was asked who he was. He answered: Gabriel (P.B.U.H); and was again asked: Who is with you? He replied: Muhammad [S.A.W.S]. It was said: Has he been sent for? He replied: He has indeed been sent for. The gate was opened. When I entered 'Isa b. Maryam and Yahya b. Zakariya (P.B.U.T), cousins from the maternal side, welcomed me and prayed for my good. Then I was taken to the third heaven and Gabriel (P.B.U.H) asked for the opening (of the door). He was asked: Who are you? He replied: Gabriel (P.B.U.H). He was (again) asked: Who is with you? He replied Muhammad [S.A.W.S]. It was said: Has he been sent for? He replied He has indeed been sent for. (The gate) was opened for us and I saw Yusuf (P.B.U.H) who had been given half of (world) beauty. He welcomed me prayed for my well-being. Then he ascended with us to the fourth heaven. Gabriel (P.B.U.H) asked for the (gate) to be opened, and it was said: Who is he? He replied: Gabriel (P.B.U.H). It was (again) said: Who is with you? He said: Muhammad [S.A.W.S]. It was said: Has he been sent for? He replied: He has indeed been sent for. The (gate) was opened for us, and Lo! Idris (P.B.U.H) was there. He welcomed me and prayed for my well-being (About him) ALLAH [S.W.T], the EXALTED and the GLORIOUS, has said: "WE elevated him (Idris (P.B.U.H)) to the exalted position" (Qur'an 29. 57). Then he ascended with us to the fifth heaven and Gabriel (P.B.U.H) asked for the (gate) to be opened. It was said: Who is he? He replied Gabriel (P.B.U.H). It was (again) said: Who is with thee? He replied: Muhammad [S.A.W.S]. It was said: Has he been sent for? He replied: He has indeed been sent for. (The gate) was opened for us and then I was with Harun (Aaron (P.B.U.H)). He welcomed me prayed for my well-being. Then I was taken to the sixth heaven. Gabriel (P.B.U.H) asked for the door to be opened. It was said: Who is he? He replied: Gabriel (P.B.U.H). It was said: Who is with thee? He replied: Muhammad [S.A.W.S]. It was said: Has he been sent for? He replied: He has indeed been sent for. (The gate) was opened for us and there I was with Moses (P.B.U.H). He welcomed me and prayed for my well-being. Then I was taken up to the seventh heaven. Gabriel (P.B.U.H) asked the (gate) to be opened. It was said: Who is he? He said: Gabriel (P.B.U.H). It was said. Who is with thee? He replied: Muhammad [S.A.W.S]. It was said: Has he been sent for? He replied: He has indeed been sent for. (The gate) was opened for us and there I found Ibrahim (P.B.U.H) reclining against the Bait-ul-Ma'mur and there enter into it seventy thousand Angels (P.B.U.T) every day, never to visit (this place) again. Then I was taken to Sidrat-ul-Muntaha whose leaves were like elephant ears and its fruit like big earthenware vessels. And when it was covered by the Command of ALLAH [S.W.T], it underwent such a change that none amongst the Creation has the power to praise its beauty. Then ALLAH [S.W.T] revealed to me a revelation and HE made obligatory for me fifty prayers every day and night. Then I went down to Moses (P.B.U.H) and he said: What has your LORD enjoined upon your Ummah? I said: Fifty prayers. He said: Return to thy LORD and beg for reduction (in the number of prayers), for your community shall not be able to bear this burden as I have put to test the children of Isra'il and tried them (and found them too weak to bear such a heavy burden). He (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) said: I went back to my LORD and said: My LORD, make things lighter for my Ummah. (The LORD) reduced five prayers for me. I went down to Moses (P.B.U.H) and said. (The LORD) reduced five (prayers) for me, He said: Verily thy Ummah shall not be able to bear this burden; return to thy LORD and ask HIM to make things lighter. I then kept going back and forth between my LORD BLESSED and EXALTED, and Moses (P.B.U.H), till HE said: There are five prayers every day and night. O Muhammad [S.A.W.S], each being credited as ten, so that makes fifty prayers. He who intends to do a good deed and does not do it will have a good deed recorded for him; and if he does it, it will be recorded for him as ten; whereas he who intends to do an evil deed and does not do, it will not be recorded for him; and if he does it, only one evil deed will be recorded. I then came down and when I came to Moses (P.B.U.H) and informed him, he said: Go back to thy LORD and ask HIM to make things lighter. Upon this the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] remarked: I returned to my LORD until I felt ashamed before HIM.

Hast THOU not made us enter Paradise and saved us from Fire? They have led many of mankind astray:" But whoso followeth me, he verily is of me" (al-Qur'an, 14.35) and Jesus (P.B.U.H) said:" If THOU punisheth them, Lo! They are THY slaves, and if THOU forgiveth them-verily THOU art the MIGHTY, the WISE" (al-Qur'an, 5.117). Then he raised his hands and said: O LORD, my Ummah, my Ummah, and wept; so ALLAH [S.W.T] the HIGH and the EXALTED said: O Gabriel (P.B.U.H), go to Muhammad [S.A.W.S] (Though your LORD knows it fully well) and ask him: What makes thee weep? So Gabriel (P.B.U.H) came to him and asked him, and the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] informed him what he had said (Though ALLAH [S.W.T] knew it fully well). Upon this ALLAH [S.W.T] said: O Gabriel (P.B.U.H), go to Muhammad [S.A.W.S] and say: Verily WE will please thee with regard to your Ummah and would not displease thee.

He (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) said: Lead me to her (or his) grave. They led him to that place and he said prayer over her (or him) and then remarked: Verily, these graves are full of darkness for their dwellers. He said: We asked the meaning of the verse (from the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) who said: The souls, of the Martyrs live in the bodies of green birds who have their nests in chandeliers hung from the Throne of the ALMIGHTY. They eat the fruits of Paradise from wherever they like and then nestle in these chandeliers. Once their LORD cast a Glance at them and said: Do you want anything? They said: What more shall we desire? We eat the fruit of Paradise from wherever we like. Their LORD asked them the same question thrice. When they saw that they will continue to be asked and not left (without answering the question) they said: O LORD, we wish that THOU mayest return our souls to our bodies so that we may be slain in THY way once again. When HE (ALLAH [S.W.T]) saw that they had no need, they were left (to their joy in heaven).

He said: Yes. I heard the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] say: The first of men (whose case) will be decided on the Day of Judgment will be a man who died as a Martyr. He shall be brought (before the Judgment Seat). ALLAH [S.W.T] will make him recount HIS Blessings (i.e. the Blessings which HE had bestowed upon him) and he will recount them (and admit having enjoyed them in his life). (Then) will ALLAH [S.W.T] say: What did you do (to requite these Blessings)? He will say: I fought for THEE until I died as a Martyr. ALLAH [S.W.T] will say: You have told a lie. You fought that you might be called a "brave warrior". And you were called so. (Then) orders will be passed against him and he will be dragged with his face downward and cast into Hell. Then will be brought forward a man who acquired knowledge and imparted it (to others) and recited the Qur'an. He will be brought and ALLAH [S.W.T] will make him recount HIS Blessings and he will recount them (and admit having enjoyed them in his lifetime). Then will ALLAH [S.W.T] ask: What did you do (to requite these Blessings)? He will say: I acquired knowledge and disseminated it and recited the Qur'an seeking THY pleasure. ALLAH [S.W.T] will say: You have told a lie. You acquired knowledge so that you might be called "a scholar," and you recited the Qur'an so that it might be said: "He is a Qari" and such has been said. Then orders will be passed against him and he shall be dragged with his face downward and cast into the Fire. Then will be brought a man whom ALLAH [S.W.T] had made abundantly rich and had granted every kind of wealth. He will be brought and ALLAH [S.W.T] will make him recount HIS Blessings and he will recount them and (admit having enjoyed them in his lifetime). ALLAH [S.W.T] will (then) ask: What have you done (to requite these Blessings)? He will say: I spent money in every cause in which THOU wished that it should be spent. ALLAH [S.W.T] will say: You are lying. You did (so) that it might be said about (You): "He is a generous fellow" and so it was said. Then will ALLAH [S.W.T] pass orders and he will be dragged with his face downward and thrown into Hell.

It has been narrated on the authority of Salman (R.A) who said:
I heard the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] say: Keeping watch for a day and a night is better (in point of reward) than fasting for a whole month and standing in prayer every night. If a person dies (while, performing this duty), his (meritorious) activity will continue and he will go on receiving his reward for it perpetually and will be saved from the torture of the grave.

I ('Aisha (R.A)) said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S], so far as the feeling of aversion against death is concerned, we all have this feeling. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) said: It is not that (which you construe), but (this) that when a believer (at the time of death) is given the glad tidings of the Mercy of ALLAH [S.W.T], HIS Pleasure, and of Paradise, he loves to meet ALLAH [S.W.T], and ALLAH [S.W.T] also loves to meet him, and when an unbeliever is given the news of the torment at the Hand of ALLAH [S.W.T], and Hardship to be imposed by HIM, he dislikes to meet ALLAH [S.W.T] and ALLAH [S.W.T] also abhors to meet him.

And 'he who comes with vice,' it is only for that that he is called to account. I even Forgive him (as I like) and he who draws close to ME by the span of a palm I draw close to him by the cubit, and he who draws close to ME by the cubit I draw close to him by the space (covered) by two hands, and he who walks towards ME I rush towards him, and he who meets ME in the state that his sins fill the earth, but not associating anything with ME, I would meet him with the same (vastness) of Pardon (on MY behalf)." This Hadith has been transmitted on the authority of Waki' (R.A).

Anas b. Malik (R.A) reported:
That ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: ALLAH [S.W.T] is more pleased with the repentance of a servant as he turns towards HIM for repentance than this that one amongst you is upon the camel in a waterless desert and there is upon (that camel) his provision of food and drink also and it is lost by him, and he having lost all hope (to get that) lies down in the shadow and is disappointed about his camel and there he finds that camel standing before him. He takes hold of his nose string and then out of boundless joy says: O LORD, THOU art my servant and I am THINE LORD. He commits this mistake out of extreme delight.

Thereupon he said: I say that when we are in the company of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] we ponder over Hell-Fire and Paradise as if we are seeing them with our very eyes and when we are away from ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] we attend to our wives, our children, our business; most of these things (pertaining to After-life) slip out of our minds. Abu Bakr (R.A) said: By ALLAH [S.W.T], I also experience the same. So I and Abu Bakr (R.A) went to ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] and said to him: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], Hanzala (R.A) has turned to be a hypocrite. Thereupon ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: What has happened to you? I said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], when we are in your company, we are reminded of Hell-Fire and Paradise as if we are seeing them with our own eyes, but whenever we go away from you and attend to our wives, children and business, much of these things go out of our minds. Thereupon ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: By HIM in WHOSE Hand is my life, if your state of mind remains the same as it is in my presence and you are always busy in remembrance (of ALLAH [S.W.T]), the Angels (P.B.U.T) will shake hands with you in your beds and in your paths but, Hanzala (R.A), time should be devoted (to the worldly affairs) and time (should be devoted to prayer and meditation). He (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) said this thrice.

Thereupon ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: Do you think this woman would ever afford to throw her child in the Fire? We said: By ALLAH [S.W.T], so far as it lies in her power, she would never throw the child in Fire. Thereupon ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: ALLAH [S.W.T] is more Kind to HIS servants than this woman is to her child.

Here I am (before you), kindly deliver verdict about me which you deem fit. 'Umar (R.A) said: ALLAH [S.W.T] concealed your fault. You had better conceal it yourself also. ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S], however, gave no reply to him. The man stood up and went away and ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] sent a person after him to call him and be recited this verse: "And observe prayer at the ends of the day and in the first hours of the night. Surely, good deeds take away evil deeds. That is a reminder for the mindful" (11. 115). A person amongst the people said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S], does it concern this man only? Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) said: No, but the people at large.

ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] kept silent. He repeated it and said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], I have committed an offence which deserves the imposition of hadd upon me, so impose it upon me. He (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) kept silent, and it was at this time that Iqama was pronounced for prayer (and the prayer was observed). And when ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] had concluded the payer that person followed ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S]. Abu Umama (R.A) said: I too followed ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] after he had concluded the prayer, so that I should know what answer he would give to that person. That person remained attached to ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] and said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], I have committed an offence which deserves imposition of hadd upon me, so impose it upon me. Abu Umama (R.A) reported that ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said to him: Didn't you see that as you got out of the house, you performed ablution perfectly well. He said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], of course, I did it. He again said to him: Then you observed prayer along with us. He said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], yes, it is so. Thereupon ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said to him: Verily, ALLAH [S.W.T] has exempted you from the imposition of hadd, or he said from your sin.

He would say: My LORD, I do recognize (them). He (the LORD) would say: I concealed them for you in the world. And today I Forgive them. And he would then be given the Book containing (the account of his) good deeds. And so far as the nonbelievers and hypocrites are concerned, there would be general announcement about them before all Creation telling them that these (people, i.e. nonbelievers and hypocrites) told a lie about ALLAH [S.W.T].

Thereupon ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] smiled testifying what that scholar had said. He then recited this verse: "And they honor not ALLAH with the Honor due to HIM; and the whole earth will be in HIS grip on the Day of Resurrection and the heaven will be folded up in HIS right hand. Glory be to HIM and highly Exalted is HE above what they associate (with HIM)" (39.67).

It would be a feast arranged in the honor of the people of Paradise. May I inform you about the feast arranged in honor of the people of Paradise on the Day of Resurrection? He said: Do it, of course. He said: The earth would become one single bread. Then ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] looked towards us and laughed until his molar teeth became visible. He then again said: May I inform you about that with which they would season it?  ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] came to us all of a sudden as we were (busy in a discussion). He said: What do you discuss about? They (the Companions (R.A)) said. We are discussing about the Last Hour. Thereupon he said: It will not come until you see ten signs before and (in this connection) he made a mention of the smoke, dajjal, the beast, the rising of the sun from the west, the descent of Jesus son of Mary (P.B.U.T), the Gog and Magog, and land-slidings in three places, one in the east, one in the west and one in Arabia at the end of which fire would burn forth from the Yemen, and would drive people to the place of their assembly.

'Aisha reported:
I heard ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] as saying: The (system) of night and day would not end until the people have taken to the Worship of Lat and 'Uzza. I said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], I think when ALLAH [S.W.T] has revealed this verse: "HE it is WHO has sent HIS Messenger with right guidance, and true religion, so that HE may cause it to prevail upon all religions, though the polytheists are averse (to it)" (9. 33), it implies that (this promise) is going to be fulfilled. Thereupon ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said: It would happen as ALLAH [S.W.T] would like. Then ALLAH [S.W.T] would send the sweet fragrant air by which everyone who has even a mustard grain of faith in HIM would die and those only would survive who would have no goodness in them. And they would revert to the religion of their forefathers.

He took hold of his ear and said: Who amongst you would like to have this for a dirham? They said: We do not like to have it even for less than that as it is of no use to us. He said: Do you wish to have it (free of any cost)? They said: By ALLAH [S.W.T], even if it were alive (we would not have liked to possess that), for there is detect in it as its ear is very short; now it is dead also. Thereupon ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: By ALLAH [S.W.T], this world is more insignificant in the eye of ALLAH [S.W.T] as it (this dead lamb) is in your eye.

Thereupon he (Hadrat 'Uthman (R.A)) said: I heard ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] as saying: He who builds a Mosque for ALLAH [S.W.T], ALLAH [S.W.T] would build for him (a house) in Paradise like it.

That ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: Strange are the ways of a believer for there is good in every affair of his and this is not the case with anyone else except in the case of a believer for if he has an occasion to feel delight, he thanks (ALLAH [S.W.T]), thus there is a good for him in it, and if he gets into trouble and shows resignation (and endures it patiently), there is a good for him in it.

When you do ten things ALLAH [S.W.T] will forgive your sins: of the future and of the past; new and old; those you have forgotten and those you did knowingly; big and small; hidden and revealed. Then Prophet [S.A.W.S] explained the taught the way to pray Salatul Tasbih and then said if you can pray this salah once a day, if you can not pray once a day then every Friday, and even if this is not possible then once a month and even if this is not possible then once a year and even if this is not possible then at least once in a lifetime.

The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, "Shall I not tell you a thing upon which if you acted you would catch up with those who have surpassed you? Nobody would overtake you and you would be better than the people amongst whom you live except those who would do the same. Say "Subhan-ALLAH", "Alhamdu-lillah" and "ALLAHU Akbar" thirty three times each after every (compulsory) prayer." We differed and some of us said that we should say, "Subhan-ALLAH" thirty three times and "Alhamdu lillah" thirty three times and "ALLAHU Akbar" thirty four times. The Angels (P.B.U.T) reply, 'If they saw YOU, they would Worship YOU more devoutly and celebrate YOUR Glory more deeply, and declare YOUR freedom from any resemblance to anything more often.' ALLAH [S.W.T] says (to the Angels (P.B.U.T)), 'What do they ask ME for?' The Angels (P.B.U.T) reply, 'They ask YOU for Paradise.' ALLAH [S.W.T] says (to the Angels (P.B.U.T)), 'Did they see it?' The Angels (P.B.U.T) say, 'No! By ALLAH [S.W.T], O LORD! They did not see it.' ALLAH [S.W.T] says, How it would have been if they saw it?' The Angels (P.B.U.T) say, 'If they saw it, they would have greater covetousness for it and would seek it with greater zeal and would have greater desire for it.' ALLAH [S.W.T] says, 'From what do they seek Refuge?' The Angels (P.B.U.T) reply, 'They seek Refuge from the (Hell) Fire.' ALLAH [S.W.T] says, 'Did they see it?' The Angels (P.B.U.T) say, 'No By ALLAH [S.W.T], O LORD! They did not see it.' ALLAH [S.W.T] says, How it would have been if they saw it?' The Angels (P.B.U.T) say, 'If they saw it they would flee from it with the extreme fleeing and would have extreme fear from it.' Then ALLAH [S.W.T] says, 'I make you witnesses that I have Forgiven them."' ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] added, "One of the Angels (P.B.U.T) would say, 'There was so-and-so amongst them, and he was not one of them, but he had just come for some need.' ALLAH [S.W.T] would say, 'These are those people whose companions will not be reduced to misery.'"

The Prophet [S.A.W.S] then said, "O 'Abdullah bin Qais (R.A)! Shall I teach you a sentence which is from the treasures of Paradise? (It is): 'La haula wala quwata illa billah. YOUR Word is the Truth, and YOUR Promise is the Truth, and the Meeting with YOU is the Truth, and Paradise is the Truth, and the (Hell) Fire is the Truth, and the Hour is the Truth. O ALLAH! I surrender myself to YOU, and I believe in YOU and I depend upon YOU, and I repent to YOU and with YOU (YOUR evidences) I stand against my opponents, and to YOU I leave the judgment (for those who refuse my message). O ALLAH! Forgive me my sins that I did in the past or will do in the future, and also the sins I did in secret or in public. YOU are my Only GOD (WHOM I Worship) and there is no other god for me (i.e. I Worship none but YOU)."

ALLAH [S.W.T] is the Greatest, ALLAH is the Greatest, and one of you should make this response: ALLAH is the Greatest, ALLAH is the Greatest;
(and when the Mu'adhdhin) says: I testify that there is no god but ALLAH, one should respond: I testify that there is no god but ALLAH,
and when he says: I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of ALLAH, one should make a response: I testify that Muhammad [S.A.W.S] is Messenger of ALLAH.
When he (the Mu'adhdhin) says: Come to prayer, one should make a response: There is no might and no power except with ALLAH.
When he (the Mu'adhdhin) says: Come to salvation, one should respond: There is no might and no power except with ALLAH,
and when he (the Mu'adhdhin) says: ALLAH is the Greatest, ALLAH is the Greatest, then make a response: ALLAH is the Greatest, ALLAH is the Greatest.

Abu Huraira (R.A) narrated:
"ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: The best day that the sun has risen upon is Friday. On it Adam (P.B.U.H) was created, on it he entered Paradise, and on it, he was sent down from it. And in it there is an hour in which the Muslim worshipper would not stand in Salat, asking ALLAH [S.W.T] for anything except that HE would give it to him.'" Abu Huraira (R.A) said: "I met Abdullah bin Salam (R.A), and I mentioned this Hadith to him. He said: 'I am more knowledgeable about that hour.' So I said: 'Inform me about it, and do not keep any of it from me.' He said: 'It is after al-Asr until the sun has set.' I said: 'How can it be after Al-Asr when ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: 'the Muslim worshipper would not stand in Salat.' And that is a time that prayer is not performed in?" So Abdullah bin Salam (R.A) said: 'Didn't ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] say: "Whoever sat in a gathering awaiting the Salat then he is in Salat"? I said: 'Of course.' He said: 'Then that is it.'"

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 4, Book 2: Purification (Kitab Al-Taharah), Number 0451:

We were entrusted with the task of tending the camels. On my turn when I came back in the evening after grazing them in the pastures, I found ALLAH [S.W.T]'s Messenger [S.A.W.S] stand and address the people. I heard these words of his: If any Muslim performs ablution well, then stands and prays two rak'ahs setting about them with his heart as well as his face, Paradise would be guaranteed to him. I said: What a fine thing is this! And a narrator who was before me said: The first was better than even this. When I cast a glance, I saw that it was 'Umar (R.A) who said: I see that you have just come and observed: If anyone amongst you performs the ablution, and then completes the ablution well and then says: I testify that there is no god but ALLAH and that Muhammad [S.A.W.S] is the servant of ALLAH and HIS Messenger, the eight gates of Paradise would be opened for him and he may enter by whichever of them he wishes.

He gave no reply. I again asked and he gave no reply. I asked him for the third time, and he said: I asked ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] about that and he said: Make frequent prostrations before ALLAH [S.W.T], for you will not make one prostration without raising you a degree because of it, and removing a sin from you, because of it. Ma’dan (R.A) said: That then he met Abu al-Darda’ (R.A) and when he asked him, he received a reply similar to that given by Thauban (R.A).

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 38, Book 4: Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat), Number 0990:
Rabi’a b. Ka’b (R.A) said:
I was with ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] one night. And I brought him water and what he required. He said to me: Ask (anything you like). I said: I ask your company in Paradise. He (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) said: Or anything else besides it. I said: That is all (what I require). He said: Then help me to achieve this for you by devoting yourself often to prostration.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 131, Book 4: Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat), Number 1756:
‘Uqba b. ‘Amir (R.A) reported:
When we were in Suffa, the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] came out and said: Which of you would like to go out every morning to Buthan or al-’Aqiq and bring two large she camels without being guilty of sin or without severing the ties of kinship? We said: Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S], we would like to do it. Upon this he said: Does not one of you go out in the morning to the Mosque and teach or recite two verses from the Book of ALLAH [S.W.T], the MAJESTIC and GLORIOUS? That is better for him than two she camels, and three verses are better (than three she camels), and four verses are better for him than four (she camels), and to on their number in camels.

ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] say: Recite the Qur’an, for on the Day of Resurrection it will come as an intercessor for those who recite It. Recite the two bright ones, Surah al-Baqara and Surah Al ‘Imran, for on the Day of Resurrection they will come as two clouds or two shades, or two flocks of birds in ranks, pleading for those who recite them. Recite Surah al-Baqara, for to take recourse to it is a blessing and to give it up is a cause of grief, and the magicians cannot confront it. (Mu’awiya (R.A) said: It has been conveyed to me that here Batala means magicians.)

Then when an Angel (P.B.U.H) descended through it, he said: This is an Angel (P.B.U.H) who came down to the earth who had never come down before. He greeted and said: Rejoice in two lights given to you which have not been given to any Prophet (P.B.U.T) before you: Falihat al-Kitab (1.1-7) and the concluding verses of Suarah al-Baqara (2.286). You will never recite a letter from them for which you will not be given (a reward).

I said: ALLAH [S.W.T] and HIS Apostle [S.A.W.S] know best. He again said: Abu’l-Mundhir (R.A), do you know the verse from the Book of ALLAH [S.W.T] which, according to you, is the greatest? I said: "ALLAH, there is no god but HE, the LIVING, the ETERNAL." (Ayat Al-Kursi (2.255)) Thereupon he struck me on my breast and said: May knowledge be pleasant for you, O Abu’l-Mundhir (R.A)!

They observe prayer as we do; they keep the fasts as we keep, and they give sadaqa out of their surplus riches. Upon this he (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) said: Has ALLAH [S.W.T] not prescribed for you (a course) by following which you can (also) do sadaqa? In every declaration of the Glorification of ALLAH [S.W.T] (i.e. saying Subhan ALLAH) there is a sadaqa, and every Takbir (i.e. saying ALLAHU Akbar) is a sadaqa, and every Praise of HIS (saying al-Hamdu Lillah) is a sadaqa and every declaration that HE is ONE (La illha ill-ALLAH) is a sadaqa, and enjoining of good is a sadaqa, and forbidding of that which is evil is a sadaqa, and in man's sexual Intercourse (with his wife,) there is a sadaqa. They (the Companions (R.A)) said: Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S], is there reward for him who satisfies his sexual passion among us? He said: Tell me, if he were to devote it to something forbidden, would it not be a sin on his part? Similarly, if he were to devote it to something lawful, he should have a reward.

That ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] visited a person from amongst the Muslims in order to inquire (about his health) who had grown feeble like the chicken. ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: Did you supplicate for anything or beg of HIM about that? He said: Yes. I used to utter (these words): Impose punishment upon me earlier in this world, what THOU art going to impose upon me in the Hereafter. Thereupon ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: Hallowed be ALLAH, you have neither the power nor forbearance to take upon yourself (the burden of HIS Punishment). Why did you not say this: O ALLAH, grant us good in the world and good in the Hereafter, and save us from the torment of Fire. He (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) made this supplication (for him) and he was all right.

He (Qatada (R.A)) said: That whenever Anas (R.A) had to supplicate he made this very supplication, and whenever he (intended) to make another supplication he (inserted) this very supplication in that.

Sovereignty belongs to HIM and all the Praise is due to HIM, and HE is POTENT over everything" one hundred times every day there is a reward of emancipating ten slaves for him, and there are recorded hundred virtues to his credit, and hundred vices are blotted out from his scroll, and that is a safeguard for him against the satan on that day till evening and no one brings anything more excellent than this, except one who has done more than this (who utters these words more than one hundred times and does more good acts) and he who utters: "Hallowed be ALLAH and all Praise is due to HIM," one hundred times a day, his sins are obliterated even if they are equal to the extent of the foam of the ocean.

ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] as saying: Two are the expressions which are light on the tongue, but heavy in scale, dear to the COMPASSIONATE ONE: "Hallowed be ALLAH and Praise is due to HIM"; "Hallowed be ALLAH, the GREAT."

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 10, Book 35: Pertaining To The Remembrance Of ALLAH [S.W.T] (Kitab Al-Dhikr), Number 6513:

That a desert Arab came to ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] and said to him: Teach me the words which I should (often) utter. He said: Utter, "There is no god but ALLAH, the ONE, having no partner with HIM. ALLAH is the Greatest of the Great and all Praise is due to HIM. Hallowed be ALLAH, the LORD of the worlds, there is no might and power but that of ALLAH, the ALL-POWERFUL and the WISE." He (that desert Arab) said: These all (Glorify) my LORD. But what about me? Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) said: You should say:" O ALLAH, grant me Pardon, have Mercy upon me, direct me to righteousness and provide me sustenance." Musa (R.A) (one of the narrators) said: I think he also said:" Grant me safety." But I cannot say for certain whether he said this or not. Ibn Abi Shaiba (R.A) has not made a mention of the words of Musa (R.A) in his narration.

That he had been in the company of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] that he said: Is one amongst you powerless to get one thousand virtues every day. Amongst those who had been sitting there, one asked: How one amongst us can get one thousand virtues every day? He said: Recite: "Hallowed be ALLAH" one hundred times for (by reciting them) one thousand virtues are recorded (to your credit) and one thousand vices are blotted out.

ALLAH [S.W.T] is at the back of a servant so long as the servant is at the back of his brother, and he who treads the path in search of knowledge, ALLAH [S.W.T] would make that path easy, leading to Paradise for him and those persons who assemble in the house among the houses of ALLAH [S.W.T] (Mosques) and recite the Book of ALLAH [S.W.T] and they learn and teach the Qur'an (among themselves) there would descend upon them the Tranquility and Mercy would cover them and the Angels (P.B.U.T) would surround them and ALLAH [S.W.T] makes a mention of them in the presence of those near HIM, and he who is slow-paced in doing good deeds, his (high) descent does not make him go ahead.

He would say: O my LORD! How (should I enter) while the people have settled in their apartments and taken the shares (portions)? It would be said to him: Would you be pleased if there be for you like the kingdom of a king amongst the kings of the world? He would say: I am pleased my LORD. HE (ALLAH [S.W.T]) would say: For you is that, and like that, and like that, and like that, and that. He would say at the fifth (point): I am well pleased, my LORD. HE (ALLAH [S.W.T]) would say: It is for you and ten times like it, and for you is what your self desires and your eye enjoys. He would say: I am well pleased, my LORD. He (Moses (P.B.U.H)) said: (Which is) the highest of their (inhabitants of Paradise) ranks? HE (ALLAH [S.W.T]) said: They are those Whom I choose. I establish their Honor with MY OWN Hand and then set a seal over it (and they would be Blessed with Bounties) which no eye has seen, no ear has heard and no human mind has perceived: and this is substantiated by the Book of ALLAH [S.W.T], the EXALTED and GREAT: "So no soul knows what delight of the eye is hidden for them; a reward for what they did" (32.17).

"And if whatever trees upon the earth were pens and the sea [was ink], replenished thereafter by seven [more] seas, the Words of ALLAH would not be exhausted. Indeed, ALLAH is EXALTED IN MIGHT and WISE."

"Everyone upon the earth will perish,
And there will remain the Face of your LORD, OWNER of Majesty and Honor.
So which of the favors of your LORD would you deny?"
